He took advantage of…read moremy 72 year old father, continued to bill my father $40/week AFTER I called, left a message in October while my father was in the hospital to request for him to discontinue services. At that time the bill was up to $550. He continued service, never called me back, including $140 for leaves in November on top of $40/week to cut the grass (grass does not grow enough that time of year to even be cut every 2 weeks!), I was at the house the first weekend of December and both the front and back yard were covered in leaves! I again called Rod, left 2 messages and never got a call back. Now the bill is up to $960 and Rod hired an attorney to collect the debt.I live in Florida and my father's house has since been sold. Rod didn't even have the decency to return my call after leaving him a message stating that I'd like to resolve the bill and letting him know that the house has been sold. AVOID THIS COMPANY! There are many other local landscaping companies in Somerset County, most of which will return a phone call and not take advantage.

Sad to say I really felt compelled to come write an update here…read more Bruce is a very nice man, and his crew are hard working guys - they do a good job and do what they're told by their boss. Unfortunately it seems like Mr. Donovan is just not 'into' running his business anymore. Virtually no communication, voicemails that go un-responded to, emails that NEVER get responded to. One big example - Mr. Donovan sent us a contract for the start of this season - which we never signed. I'd left him several voicemails letting him know that due to communication challenges I would not be using his services. Two weeks later (thankfully I was home) I see a Donovan truck pull up in front of my house, his guys offloading mowers ready to go. I explained to them as best I could with my broken spanglish that we would not be using Donovan, that Bruce was aware, and that I was very sorry because they were great guys - gave them bottles of water and sent on their way. Sadly they did not seem surprised by the news. Mr. Donovan, if you read these, I want to be clear: I'm pulling for you and your team. You need to figure out how to get yourself organized.
