Emanuel was professional, kind, warm and helpful. We inquired about a 4mo old puppy who hadn't been adopted yet. Usually we would err on the younger side but something about this puppy called to us! We are so incredibly glad that we followed our instincts. We named him Ollie and we are completely in love! He came basically potty trained, crate trained overnight and just SWEET AS CAN BE. His personality is still fun playful puppy but wow is he chill. He loves to cuddle and if we allowed him to, would literally be with us every second of the day. Teaching him some independence so he doesn't have separation anxiety as a dog. But that is challenging because all you want to do is snuggle this puppy 24/7!!!!!!! He is such a fast learner. He instinctively knows how to fetch and bring the ball back... every time. He listens to being called. If I say "uh uh" when he starts to dig into something I don't want him to he just redirects. It's kind of wild. Haha. This is our second dog and my goodness this experience is just the best. I left and told our trainer/friend that as soon as we pulled up on property we knew that this was going to be a positive experience. The energy was very positive, clean, professional and warm. I don't know what the heck the other reviewer is on about because it couldn't be further from the truth. This family is 3 generations of caring for and raising puppies. Emanuel was genuine, warm, funny and kind. We appreciated the nice interactions/visit as much as we enjoyed picking up our puppy! He let our daughters hold a week old litter while the moms were outside on break. Before we left the moms came back in to nurse. Emanuel pointed out some cool things about the mom/puppy dynamic, told stories of different liters that if you think about just show the care and attentiveness for these animals. He even built this little lifted ledge around the puppy beds where mom cares for puppies so that JUST IN CASE a puppy will have protection in case mom is too tired after labor and goes to lay on them. It's a sweet environment and these dogs are exposed to his grandchildren from birth. It is super clear from how our puppy behaves and licks instead of nipping that this is just a very nurtured and well raised environment. I will be recommending Lepark Cavaliers to EVERYONE I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so so blessed to have stumbled upon them. Thank you!

A similar experience to other potential adopters, this rescue is a piece of work (substitute…read moreanother 4 letter word).  Saw a dog they had listed on Petfinder, the generalities matched well and contacted them and was told to fill out a lengthy application, then they'd get back to me in 2-3 weeks.  That seems fairly long, but we liked the dog.  An "adoption counselor" got back with us around 2 weeks, and during the interview revealed they selected a "pre-approved adopter" for the dog (which is still at time of writing listed as available on Petfinder to draw more applications).  What?  Why post the dog as available if they're going to select who to give him to out of their prior applicants?  These people are controlling, manipulative and abusive; wanting to control what you get, manipulating via bait & switch, and generally abusing by wasting your time and crushing your hopes. They insist on a meet & greet, which is only practical if you're in the area, and not a guarantee of compatibility long term with your existing dogs.  Once your all home, dynamics can change especially if the owner is not the leader of the pack.  We've adopted a number of dogs over the years, at least half were from out of state and flown or transported, and of the local adoptions only twice was there any meeting of the dogs prior to adopting. They won't work with another rescue in vetting your home, likely because they'd catch onto whatever racket they're running and report them to PACFA or applicable Maryland agency.  They won't work with adoption transport services though many excellent ones exist precisely to facilitate getting dogs to good homes that are far away.  They're too lazy to take a dog to an arranged transport at an airport even though the adopter is willing to pay all costs and donate extra for the time taken (which would then buy more necessities for the rescue). I'm sure this particular coven of witches thinks they're doing right by the dog, but they're turning off adopters by the score.  Deal with enough sham rescues like this in a row and you'll be going to PuppyMart breeders for a companion because some controlling crones won't let you adopt the dogs you want.

When we called about the so called puppy guarantee ( what a joke) the girl who answered was just rude uncaring after approx 10 minutes of that she final gave up and said you need to talk to the owner anyhow nothing I can do. except be total rude little ______ for 10 minutes. She wouldn't let us leave message and said nothing she can do for us and hung up. We called for over a week but never got and return calls just rude staff giving us the blow off. ONCE they get your money its TS who cares nothing you can do hung up! So myself and my whole family would tell you do not buy anything from them these dogs are little more the feed stock to them I can only imagine what they do to defects and the old ones that don't sell quick. There mean heartless uncaring and it showed. Do your research before buying anywhere and don't buy here. We thought we did but guess not in hindsight you fall in love with a playful little bundle of energy and they got you you'll do almost anything then to make your wife or daughter happy thats what they play on. We called and left several messages asking for the parent information so that we can tell our vet what the dog history is with the stomach but no one ever called us back as they knew they sold us a sick dog. At a minimum he's allergic to every food and having the family history so we know how to treat and for what would have been nice as even the vet said there was something wrong with his parents. Be careful of this place they sell sick dogs. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere.

You'd hope for those things as a given but prior dog trainers we've had have been in it for the wrong reasons, and not real animal advocates or animal lovers. Ryan trains and competes his own dogs, who are rescues, so he not only understands the bonding process of training and adoption, he lives it. We did two 5-session packages, meaning one for each dog. Ryan scheduled us conveniently for our day, and gave a full hour to each dog every time! Honestly, we and our dogs were exhausted from all the hard work! It was well worth it. Our rescues came to us at age 3, with bad habits and no training since birth! We adopted them with a tetrad of dog-abandoning behaviors: counter surfing, litter box raiding, cat chasing, and leash reactivity! Ryan didn't bat an eyelash. He had a plan and effective steps that he clearly laid out for us, AND helped with every step of the way. Ryan is super generous with his texting support between sessions, and will carefully and thoroughly explain the psychology and contemporary training philosophies behind his methods. We not only learned what to do, but WHY to do it, how it affected our dogs, and how to adapt our thinking to anticipate their behavior before it happened and be a step ahead, ready with training exercises to support them. It worked! Ryan helped us a ton, and our dogs LOVE him! He was their advocate and their voice when we got frustrated. Each of our four life-affecting issues were addressed and broken down for us by Ryan, both verbally, and in training exercises. Ryan will ask a ton of questions to really get to the roots of behaviors. He encouraged us to think about things differently, and taught us skills we can use and re-use when training may wane, to reinforce the dogs' good work, or which we can apply to new behaviors we want to condition.
