On 15 May 2022, Dr. Seely wrote me a letter stating, "...and am formally discharging you from my practice". He then continues, "(you have) a very serious and potentially blinding condition and in my opinion need to be under the care of ophthalmologist." I was FIRED from his practice, I think, because I CANNOT wear a mask. He did not indicate that in his letter to me, so I am assuming this is the reason. I am 79 years old, with breathing issues & heart issues & I cannot wear a mask. I politely offered to wear a shield, but that was not to his liking. They demand that every patient wears a mask. Here is their photo of their staff - hypocrites ! I would not trust someone of this weak stature with my eyes. Thank you Dr. Seely for sparing me any agony that I might have endured. Her front office girl, Kacy, does a great job in scheduling appointments and doing the glaucoma screenings. I have used them for my eyeglass prescriptions and my wife for her contact lenses. Ultimately I left with the same script I came in with! I know my eyes are not the same because I still can't see well with my old glasses! They couldn't find Federal Blue Cross Vision in their computer despite having a major Federal employer in the area! As a healthcare professional my self, masks are stupid! They are dirty, nasty -filled with bacteria! MERSA has gone up 80% since mask mandates and many other bacteria skin issues. These nasty things are handled over and over. If they want a mask, they need to supply one with the adhesive across the nose and eyes region so glasses don't fog! They make them to be worn in procedures for those who wear glasses!

I recently saw Kimberlynn Dittemore, OD at Costco vision center. I found that her personality was…read morecold or impersonal. While in the exam room she had a mask on while she spoke to me and I had a bit of a challenge understanding what she said so she spoke louder. It would have been considerate to me if she lowered it so I could understand her better. Also, when the eye exam was done, she moved her rolling chair far from me and finished explaining the possible options for my eye needs. She had a mask on, if she really believed that they make a difference, she wouldn't have needed to get so far as if to prevent her from possibly contracting a disease from me. When she had suggested I see a specialist out of town, she seemed to not like that I'd call around to get information about other possible eye doctors. Finally, the office used a machine that checks the retina in the eye and it really was exceptionally bright for me. I've never been exposed to such intense brightness and it was extremely uncomfortable. Not planning on going back.

As I stated before if you read my first Yelp review here's an update…read more I reported this doctor to VSP so they called the office and here again they LIED to the VSP customer service stating they had sent frames with new prescription back twice because the prescription was off, which is a lie, they just kept them in office then said they were back in, later said the lab couldn't find that the correction was off, but according to Dr Gauer's Daughter the prescription was in fact needed to be changed! They also said I had a balance due which is new to me they were paid almost $700 upfront leaving a Zero Balance... On another pair where they put in new prescription to my frames were also done incorrectly! These glasses, I had to send to my Sacramento Dr to redo which I had to pay out of pocket!
