I cannot recommend the in-house seamstress service based on my experience- she was very sweet, but I ended up having to get a second seamstress do additional tailoring based on a concerns that I pointed out during my appointment with the Elegant Bridals seamstress. However, when I reached out to Elegant Bridals about it, they recommended a different seamstress who was fantastic. I was pleased with my experience here and recommended a friend, who just got her dress here too!

Even though we gave her our measurements. They fit like they came from Wish. The sizing is so off, like she ordered us whatever size she wanted to instead. Still refusing to refund us, she didn't even offer to help FIX the issues with the dress. The response was all sales final. Go to David's Bridal, you'd get better service and prices. Girls should not be made to feel that because they are not a size 2 or 4 that they are not as important or not treated the same as the girls who wear these smaller sizes. The mirrors and prom lighting are all located in the room with the smaller dresses, and the sales associates seem to cater to those who are in the 0 to size 10 dress area. This is insulting and perhaps Brittany's House of Elegance should have a class on etiquette and manners. I would not recommend this dress shop to anyone.

Sure you could just walk in a place and wander aimlessly, but why not have someone who has already begun researching what they have in relation to the concept/ideas you submit with your appointment? And for that hour that team member is with you to ensure you find exactly what it is you want. Pants too tight? Jacket too loose? Don't worry. They can alter it as part of the prep process (which also includes pressing). I left with the pants, jacket, and shirt picked out and two days later returned for pick up. I felt fly, everything fit perfectly, and I will be returning again when the need arises (or I just feel like dressing up).

The owner told me her story, which is amazing! She's 68 and you can't tell! She came from Cuba and moved to the US in the 80s. She is one of the few true seamstresses you will find. She's talented, has years of experience, and is incredibly friendly. She has been in Augusta 16 years. I would recommend coming here to anyone. She does dress restoration, modifications, hemming, you name it and she can do it! She has truly put her blood, sweat and tears into this place! What a true inspiration. You get a 3.5% discount if you pay in cash. They require a 50% down payment. You pay the remaining balance when you pick up the dress.
