Tightly knit local community. Great if you are already part of the "in" crowd. If you are new, don't expect very great service. Their selection is low for what some people might think of as a general game store. Many games are simply not offered. What is there tends to be older and not particularly well priced. John, Ashley, and Kalvin, what happened to Visions. This place used to be packed full of people and product. I came in just the other day and it was a barren wasteland. Shelves that used to have no room for another box of mini's now only hold a few boxes of a random selection. Glass cases that held thousands of cards now only a single layer of 10-20 cards displayed. A shop that used to be Visions Cards and Games, now known as "Blurred Vision with Cards and Lames." I don't make that up someone standing outside the store did. Some people say there was the in-people, like and inner circle with the owners, yeah there was, it felt good to be liked by the owners but it was because I was really into MTG and not Vanguard, Yugioh, Pokémon, or Warhammer. I used to love visions, Friday night magic was my jam in 2012-2014. Unfortunately since my son's first visit, the day after Christmas my love has faded. My son took his Christmas money to buy himself something for his Dungeons and Dragons campaign. He picked out two Dungeon's and Dragons Icons Of The Realms Ghost Light Mystery boxes. Each one is supposed to contain four mini's that are random, as well as each of them being in their own plastic bag. All of the mini figures from both boxes were out of their bags, resealed with shrink plastic. They also took what they wanted from the boxes as there was one plastic mount that had no mini figurine with it. The missing one was the "tree blight" the very one my son was hoping he'd get. So I am sad to say we will never shop at visions again. We will also advise all of our many friends and even strangers at other shops not to shop here anymore. If the owner wants to reach out to me and make this right we may change our minds, but until then never again. Please be advised if you buy mini figures that are "mystery boxes" do not buy them from Visions. They have already opened them took what they wanted out and you won't get what you are paying for. read more

I had a very positive experience at visions. I'm a brand new magic player and the guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and gave tons of suggestions on my deck! They had a great selection to pick from and very organized. The price are spot on too no up charging, they will literally scan the card with tcg and charge you that price. read more

Got a long history of dealing with Visions' general unwillingness to cater to anyone who isn't a card game player. My friends and I would frequently be disallowed from coming to game because they give preference to the card game players, so their get-togethers would overrule our own, even when we scheduled that day long in advance. The night before our scheduled big Dungeons and Dragons night, Visions told my group to not come to the store that day due to a last-minute Magic tournament being recently scheduled for the same day. Fast forward a couple years, I get back into the tabletop scene again and Visions is unwilling to cater to people who dont play card games still. Between the cashier claiming I'm a jobless bum for looking for people to play 40K with on a Monday "Most people who play that have a job, nobodys here on Mondays" They can take just shy of a month sometimes to get a miniature in if you want to buy from them, they dont offer any deals or incentives on minis (its more expensive to buy from Visions than directly from GW), and they dont order Forgeworld at all. And whoever runs the Facebook page is real passive aggressive if you point out any of their flaws and how its cheaper and easier to buy directly from GW "The GW (Games Workshop) website doesnt furnish you a place to play all of your games and create community" On top of all that, when I posted this review and asked that the owners try to improve, they banned me and got their friends to harass me. My friends who agree with me are afraid to speak up because they'll be banned too. read more

Very disrespectful staff! Stopped by there today to simply see if they had any toploaders. Once we arrived, a bunch of people were sitting around playing cards, and not once did anyone even acknowledge that we were in there. Looked around for a couple minutes and left. Clearly was not bothered about running their business; I feel like they only cared about playing their card games. read more

I feel like these other two reviews reflect some sort of weird alternate reality! Visions is my home away from home and always full of great, friendly people who are always willing to play just about any game - Card, table top, or board - and to teach you something new. The owners are very friendly, responsive, and work hard to keep the overall environment positive for everyone. The space is open, airy, and there is plenty of room for every type of gamer to have their space. Visions is great, come hang out! read more

Spent a lot of time there as a kid 15 years ago. Met some really great people

The female owner of this establishment was very rude. I've been in the store several times, and she has refused to speak to me. Even when I've asked her if she had a product in stock. So I left a Facebook review one month ago that simply stated "management is very rude." I received a message on Facebook today threatening legal action for "slander and harassment." So I edited my review to tell more about the situation, and the owner who I mentioned commented calling me a liar and claimed I was attacking her. This is a poorly run establishment, with a lot of unnecessary drama. read more

Everyone here is really friendly! Jeff and John were able to get me in some games within 10 minute of arriving on a Thursday. They had schedule for the weekend lined up as well. I had a list of cards I was looking for and, while they had most of them at good prices, they offered to hunt down the ones they didn't have on hand - awesome service! read more

I was going to visions since it was a comicbook collectables store.When John owned it..Not sure if he still has a part in it now as a games store.But it was huge part of my growing up years.Always fun an great time always something worth buying.it was a time when the only game store was the book konger next door by the old sams club.Been wanting to come to the new vision of visions But work and gets in the way been wanting to get back into warhammer miniatures.I cant imagine that anyone was as rude or what ever as that person described.Hope to come buy spend some $$.. read more

Uh, the recent August 2018 review above is surreal and even a bit troubling. I have never been lied to, and neither have my gaming friends. But more troubling is the slight racial reference in this review. Visions does not have "Minority owners." It DOES, however, have (1) minority workers manning the booth many times, and (2) many minority gamers. Thus the fact that race was even brought into the review, makes me wonder what the true complaint is. I would say the opposite: it's an amazing example of a diverse environment without anyone even making a deal of it being diverse, it just is. read more
