My one star is for the Receptionist, I have never gone to the spa because I can't get past the rude receptionist who sits at the front desk and gives dirty looks to people. I have approached the spa several times to possible make an appointment and THERE she sits with her cell phone in hand and a dirty look on her face. I have heard great things about the stylist there but the owner needs to get a CLUE about her receptionist and customer service in this economic climate. I am thinking the person is a relative or something because I can't imagine any good business owner allowing this behavior!! read more

I just coordinated a girls day spa event at Visions Seaside Spa. It was great! Nancy (nail technician) and Susie (massage therapist) provided a wonderful day of pampering for me and my 4 friends. We all got pedicures and 3 of us got 30 minute massages. Nancy set up wonderful refreshments (mimosas, cheese platter, choc dipped strawberries, and desert platter); all included in our price. Seven words for you: Kimberly Kirkpatrick is an AWESOME massage therapist. I was full of tension & knots and my 1 hour session with her melted it all away! She's new to Visions but definitely not new to the art of massage. I felt very comfortable & pampered just the way you should on a "spa day". Her prices are very fair and definitely worth every cent. About the spa: Visions atmosphere is great- the decor is stunning which was a relief after seeing a few of the other massage places here in Pacifica. Earlier this year I was desperate to find a stylist that was willing to come to my house on my wedding day which is a three minute drive from Visions. I found a stylist at visions who was willing to take the job (Jeannine). Having 8 women including myself in the bridal party she said she would have to hire someone to help her. Totally understandable. When I met with Jeannine to show pictures of styles the girls wanted, she seemed very turned off and intimidated by the updos (which as a stylist she should be able to accomplish or even ATTEMPT to accomplish especially if she's charging $75 per bridesmaid). She kept reiterating to me that the girls hair styles wouldn't look exactly the way it showed in the pictures I provided. I had very strange vibes at this point but again, I was desperate. I came in for my bridal hair trial which cost $50 AND took two and a half hours. We were making conversation and towards the end I finally asked about the other stylist she had hired to help her. Only then did she give me the bad news that the other stylist bailed and I asked about the rest of the stylists at visions, all of whom were "too intimidated by the updos" according to Jeannine. She said I! had to find another stylist to help her and that it would be fine if I didn't hire her at all. So unprofessional! Not only did I sit there for two and a half hours so she could make her petty $50, but my hair SUCKED and I walked away without a stylist for my wedding day. read more

I was so excited to get my hair done here last night with Rebecca Guerrero, she is the worst hairdresser, please do yourself a favor, don't waste your money neither your time with her. I had a beautiful honey color and I just wanted to add highlights. She offered to cover my grays, I accepted and I ended up with a very dark chocolate color all over and I cannot even notice the highlights; I didn't say anything last night because I thought that inside the salon was normal to see a different color; today everybody at work saying: "why did you change your color, the other one was beautiful"..... Kim B is an amazing makeup artist. She provided me with a natural look for the beach wedding I was in and it lasted all day. I didn't need to touch up once and was sad to take it off at the end of the night because it still looked so good. I requested my natural look with a smokey eye, a couple bunches of extended eyelashes for a cat-eye effect... the lashes lasted and didn't even know they were there. She didn't over due the smokey eye look either. She was so easy to talk to and gave me helpful hints on skin care which I will always treasure. I've had two aromatherapy massages from Lana, and both of them have been fantastic! Her studio is lovely and comforting--low lights, candles, waterfall, soft music, fabric draped from the ceiling. The bed is heated, which I love, and her technique is flawless. I tend to have frequent pain and tension in my neck, and both times I visited her, the massage brought me a lot of relief. I liked that she offered me a heated pad for my back while she massaged my legs. Also, I love that I can make appointments online and that I get email reminders. Overall my experience was comparable to ones I have had in high-end hotels for twice the price. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to relax. read more

Michelle Rocco is a blessing to my hair! I've had a difficult time finding a hairstylist who can create the perfect color for a balayage and mine came out just how I wanted it. I have been getting my nails done by Angela Qare for about six years now, if not more. She is very knowledgeable and very artistically talented. She does awesome art designs and knows just what I like and does it with taste and class. I live in Stockton, CA. and make sure that when I am in town no mater what, I always make sure to take time out of my schedule to see Angela for a mani and pedi. It's a MUST! In between I try to keep my nails as maintained as possible until I am able to see her for that wonderful overhaul she always does for me. Besides being a wonderful manicurist she is also a very gifted Reiki practitioner. If you want to distress and let go of old baggage and emotional issues you may have she is the go to person. The Reiki experience is like no other you will ever experience in your life. Angela is a very caring and loving person whom I can trust and feel very comfortable to be around. Oh!!!! my god.. as I work in a 5 star spa, and work as a therapist as well...I am so hard to please, I notice even the finest layer of dust, nervous newbie massages, loud obnoxious anything...you can understand my feeling of awe, to find a little what appeared little hole in the wall spa in Pacifica... I just moved, I am sore and stressed... This review is for the massage services offered at Visions. Jared is one of the most talented massage therapists I've encountered. I'm so used to having therapists ask where your pain or tension is but proceed with their standard (almost mechanical) massage routine: right side, neck to foot; left side, neck to foot; flip to your back, massage shoulders, and done. Jared, however, not only listens but tailors the massage to what areas need to be focused on. As there is nothing worse than feeling worse after a massage than before you went in, he's also one of the rare therapists who know how to skillfully apply deep/firm pressure on those stubborn knots, while still being gentle. I walked out of this last session being able to turn my neck without stiffness (or having it sound like a bowl of rice krispies).
