Awful experience. #1 - I was not notified it was a virtual appt. until I showed up. Also not indicated anywhere when I was scheduling the appt. #2 Location is utterly disorganized, too many people don't know how to do basics, like check-ins #3 I should NOT be able to read about the prior appt.'s name, status, etc. on the computer screen displayed for the virtual appt. Since I could see this for someone else, I am positive the next person saw mine. #4 They cannot even validate a prescription for an order online with another vendor. I didn't have these issues last year, (when doctors were there doing the work)....so I am not sure why the change but it is not for the better. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don't blame the staff; I blame the management. They need to tighten things up. I will be going elsewhere from now on. If you enjoy spending hours trying to get an eye exam and love jumping through hoops to verify your prescription so you can buy your contacts - this is your spot! read more

Never again will I go to a vision works. I scheduled and in office apt and got here and it was virtual. Took forever to get everything done and then it was go here for this, here for this, and here for this. The doctor didn't do the exam they just looked at pictures and someone on the computer screen did the exam for which letters were clear. All you had in office was the assistant. She was super nice but I don't know how you could have a perfect eye exam virtually. If I didn't need contacts bad I would have went somewhere else. But for future will never come back. read more

I've been coming to the Airport Road location for several years. Today's visit was horrible. The employees spent more time chatting with each other. I was early for my appointment and they checked in people who arrived after me. The technician messed up the exam and it had to be be redone. I was seen by three different telehealth physicians. after my exam, they again called people who were finished after me. 1 hour and 45 minutes and I didn't even order contacts or glasses. Took a month and a half to schedule an eye exam with provider. Got a confirmation a few hours before my appointment and drove all they way just to be told the provider called out sick and I'd have to reschedule. I understand we all need days to ourselves and emergencies, as an emergency nurse I understand this more than most. But they need to have more than one provider, or if you're going to call out you need coverage. (Like everywhere else in healthcare.) This place is so inconsiderate for their patients it's honestly so sad. read more

This is the worst place I have ever gone to for my eyewear. They are all about themselves and seeing how they can get more money out of there customers. I had to call for 2 weeks until I finally got a hold of someone and once I did they weren't friendly or helpful. The two ladies at the front desk were of no help either. Horrible customer service. My son's glasses broke on a Sunday (one arm fell off). He cannot see without his glasses, so my husband took my son to get them fixed. While there, they waited while the clerk or whatever she was, talked on the phone to a customer who could not be bothered to come in person. Finally, my husband was able to explain the problem. She stated that she had no idea how to fix glasses, it was too tricky for her. She then stated he need to go to Quakertown, there was a lady in their store that knows how to fix glasses...what??? First, why in the heck is someone in the store alone that cannot tend to a simple fix?? Second, there was no reason not to at least try; my husband said it was obvious that she just wanted them out. A. Don't go to this location B. Vision-works is conglomerate similar to America's Best. You get what you pay for. C. The eye doctor, technicians and non management "hourly" employees were helpful. So at-least I have a good script to work off of when I take my yearly lens and frame benefit elsewhere. Story for the 1 star: Purchased Nike sunglasses from this location. About 6 months later I found the lenses popped out easily while cleaning. Returned to the store and then found out the lenses were not cut properly for the frame and adjusting the frame would not fix the problem (the nice technician tried his best). This is when it got great; the record of me purchasing the glasses showed a different frame then the Nike's I actually purchased . Interestingly enough, I also found out through the technicians that my lenses were cut on site, which for Nike wrap style sunglasses is normally not done. Probably was done as someone caught the mistake and tried to cover it up. I was accused of not knowing of where I purchased my Nike Prescription sunglasses. The one's that I used my insurance benefit on. You know something that would be virtually impossible to forget where and when you purchased them and picked them up at. Simply it was a clerical error that I didn't catch when I purchased the sunglasses as my eyes were still fuzzy from the drops, the price was correct (actually later found out $10 less since I got the better frame out of the 2) and the salesperson entered the wrong frame but put the correct frame in the bin with my slip for lenses to be made. Pretty sure a place that knows your vision is impaired would be empathetic to not being able to read the receipt in enough detail to not catch this error. Nope, THEY DOUBLE DOWNED and said that I did not purchase them there and that their inventory was accurate. read more

Terrible customer service for phone service. These people never answer the phone! All I wanted to do was to make sure my order was at this store like I requested. The email I received said half my order was ready at the store where my eye exam was done not at this store that is closest to my house and I had asked that the glasses be shipped to. I called both stores and got the machine, I selected #2 to speak to a store associate and no one picked up for 20 minutes at this store or at the other store. I called 2 or three times each store and got NOWHERE! I am frustrated beyond belief! The website virtual assistant is also a machine that answers nothing and refuses to put a HUMAN BEING on the phone. If I could give them NO STARS I would! read more

So I was getting help from Janice and discussing my needs. I showed her my coupon for 60% off and the next thing you know she excused herself and began to help another customer who just walked in the door. I assumed she was in greeter duty but she never came back and I hung out long enough to listen in to learn that this was not a returning customer for her but just a new person. I am not a crazy person. I don't smell and I was not difficult. I was asking her to help me price out single vision lenses for tennis. Bad bad customer service. read more

I've purchased a pair of expensive Nike glasses with bi-focal which cost me around $550. For that price, I would expect that the glasses would be perfect fit and prescription would be dead on. Well, my experience at this location was terrible. When my glasses came, first appearance the lenses appear to be well made but when I put it on, the person who either made the measurements screw up or the place that made my lens. Vision Works do not make their own lens on the premise so all orders get sent out to lab in another State, I believe Texas. Anyhow, the lens was made inverted; distance was on bottom and reading pane was on top. I knew something was wrong immediately when I had to lift my head to see far and vise versa. After they took a look at my lenses, they agree it was made wrong. Ok, I figure human error happens but then it took them another 2 weeks before I got my replacement lens. You wouldn't think they would try expediting it since they screw up, right. No. Ok, so I got a call when the remade lens came in and on my second visit, I thought they got it right and I walk out the door. After wearing my lenses for a week, I've notice something wasn't right, blurry vision at my desk straining my eyes just to read documents and computer work. I had to suffer through this again through another 2-3 weeks because I was traveling on business and couldn't make appointment to stop by store again. When I finally got around to visiting store again, they realize again made a mistake; my bi-focal plane of the lens was set too narrow at bottom that most of it was for long distance. I only had a small portion bottom for reading. Again, I had to adjust my head up to use bottom portion lens for reading. Well, keep in mind this is 3rd time back to store and they re-center the lens again. While there, I was also complaining that the expensive Nike frame is made very cheap, ear piece keeps sliding off and wasn't secure and would twist and turn. The gentleman that assist me this time was very accommodating and seems to be one of the senior sales on the staff. He was very helpful but this is 3rd strike if they don't get this right. I am tired of returning back to store and waiting for my correct lens to be made. If they fail me again, I will demand my money back. They are selling me BMW frame and lens here so I expect quality workmanship and hassle free service. Might be going back to Lens Crafters who's been in the business for along time. read more

I went to Visionworks without insurance and met with the doctor as well as sales representatives who were very professional and kind. Mike was extremely helpful when it came to picking out glasses and sunglasses. When I realized I could only afford the exam that day Mike advised I take pictures of the sku numbers so when I come back I know what to order. I came back the next day to order my glasses and was greeted like an old friend. Mike made my visits with them very enjoyable. When I picked up both sets of glasses (which came earlier than expected) I was once again greeted with smiles and they even remembered my name. Fabulous customer service here with authentic workers you can tell enjoy their job. Mike also saved me over $300 with their BOGO sale! read more

I had an appointment for today. Received a call last night at 6:52 cancelling it. I called today to explain the situation and the individual visual kept interrupting me. I did lose my temper but they have no concept of customer service. I wanted to get my prescription that was provided by the doctor after my cataract surgery. There was one sent previously in September and I went there and left my number for a call back. Nine received. Had a follow up to schedule laser treatment and again the doctor provided a prescription to them and an appointment was made for today. I was there when the prescription was sent to them. The individual today was unprofessional and hung up on me. I told him I wanted the prescription so I could get an appointment at another Vision Works that I had previously dealt with. When I first went there I was completely satisfied with the professionalism and service. Since then it's been a run around and totally unprofessional in my view. I want the prescription. I so not appreciate the constant interruption. I told him I understand the situation but he did not want to hear what I had to say. Terrible customer service. They billed my insurance a higher fitting fee for contacts my daughter did not get. My daughter can not see clearly out of the contacts she was prescribed, and the doctor will not make any changes to help her. She is now stuck with contacts for a year that she can not see out of. I have personally have worn contacts for 20 years and have never received horrible service like this before. read more
