I went to this store and did my eye exam and bought glasses on May 30. Then I received my glasses about 10 days later. Everything seems good. BUT, but the frame leg broken only two months(almost not even two months)after normal wear! I called the store and the guy over the phone told I should pay for the replacement BECAUSE I broke it! TWO months, only two months, guys, I paid almost 600 dollars for it, now I have to pay for the replacement of this POOR quality frame! The guy told this is their policy. By the way my last glasses have stayed with me over five years before break. What you guys gonna do about this? Visionworks - New frame broken after two months normal wear - Optometrists Near Me - Longmont, Colorado

Sorry, I really wanted to like this location, but it did not go well. After getting an eye exam, I was prescribed a stronger reader than I had been using. I was using a 1.25 and the doctor prescribed a 2.00. I contacted Visionworks customer care online and was told to bring them back to the store within 100 days. I did this, and when I was greeted by the front desk associate, she said that I just needed to give them more time, and that my eyes would adjust. So, I kept trying them daily, but my eyes never adjusted to the new glasses. Every time I use these readers, I get a headache. On my third attempt to get them redone, I was told that my 100 days had passed and that there was nothing else they could do. Bottom line: go somewhere else and read the fine print. 100 days, means 100 days from the exam date, not the date you actually pick up your glasses. read more

if I could give a 0 I would. The store was locked during "open hours" and I drove all the way from Denver to pick up my glasses. I couldn't get ahold of anyone in the store. Absolutely terrible no sign or any thing saying if they are closed. Customer service says they are supposed to be open yet no one is here. Will not be coming back. read more

A HUGE Shoutout to Amber@ Visionworks I was out of state on vacation and mysteriously lost a lens. I looked everywhere to no avail. The nearest store was in Reno so I called Visionworks in Longmont to ask for my prescription to be emailed to me. For whatever reason they could not use email, but kindly, and resourcefully she suggesting using her personal iPhone to snap a picture to me. Voila!' A few minutes later it arrived and I was able to go to another website to order a quick replacement. I love my glasses from Visionworks and will immediately head there to order a new lens as soon as I am back in town Talk about customer service!! This young lady saved the day! read more

My exam was going well until the girl asked me if I wanted to pay the extra $38 to have my retinas checked because "I hadn't done it before" and when I saod no she rolled her eyes at me and said okay whatever. Now I know I had this done last year when the machine was new because they had people there looking at it amd said they would do it for free. Ordering glasses from then is very stressful because they want to upcharge you for everything and give you a hard time when you pick the basic plastic lenses. My sunglasses arrived first and I asked when my glasses would be ready. I was told on Friday they would be ready either Saturday or Sunday. I didn't hear anything over the weekend so I called Monday. They said they were ready but it looked like they'd be there Tuesday. Still didn't hear anything Tuesday so I called again and they said it was on the truck for delivery but I couldn't track them myself. They finally got there Tuesday and when I picked them up the same girl that rolled her eyes at me was adjusting them. I rushed out because I was uncomfortable telling her if they didn't fit right. I also looked at the sunglasses again because I didn't remember picking the ones I received. I wasn't surprised to see they didn't even have the ones I got on the shelf. I will never go back there!!! read more

Terrible customer service, unprofessional, respectless, missing knowledge for the job. It took my husband 5 trips from Louisville to Longmont, in order to get new glasses. Wrong lenses, he was sent back to the ophtalmologist to correct the prescription. Another appointment there confirmed that the prescription was correct. The lenses were ordered incorrectly. After waiting a few more weeks for the glasses, the lenses were correct, but they forgot to add the ordered and paid extras, waiting again . . . . . I had a small repair, went to Longmont, the employee didn't warm up the frame and broke it. Without any excuse, I was told " that happens easily". I told them, it's not acceptable to send me home with the broken glasses, but I didn't have a chance against two totally respectless, unprofessional employees working together against me. I will never ever again to this awful place again and I will spread the word. read more

I was less than 8 minutes late for an appointment. From the time I pulled up and got out of the car to check on my newborn. We had 2 appointments. One. Was for my daughter and the other for myself. So we were only late for one and they said we were going to have to reschedule. I will never go there again or give them any of my money. read more

There were so many opportunities Visionworks had to improve my impression of them, but in the end it was a horrible and anxiety-provoking experience that I can only hope other people can avoid. I could expand a lot on these topics, but the problems included: misleading information about how best to spend insurance benefits, poor crafting of glasses, a sample contact that was the wrong power, poor record-keeping of visits leading to an Rx for the wrong brand of contacts, and inability to admit a mistake on the doctor's part. Any one thing is forgivable. All of them together make for a major headache. Positives: they will honor the return policy on glasses if you ask clearly and the manager seems open to fixing some of the record-keeping flaws. But it's your vision. Find somewhere that will treat *literally how you see the world* with the level of care that it deserves. read more

I tried this location again after being dissatisfied last year. I figured that we addressed the concerns of last year and we could move forward this year. Unfortunately, the staff seems to be working on commission and makes decisions to increase the total invoice instead of figuring out what's best for the patient. The doctor is amazing, but the staff is awful. Last year they failed to tell me that I had 90 days to return a second pair of glasses that I never used and I came in 95 days later to let them know that I've never used it and they said sorry you're five days late. Last year I spent almost $2500 on three pairs of glasses one progressive and one for reading and then another pair that were sunglasses. They made bank on me. This year I came back and wanted to use the same frames that I purchased last year for my main set of glasses and just replace the lenses, and they told me they couldn't do that but I had to buy new frames even though they still sold the same $300 frames that I purchased last year. They are crooks. I will never come back here. I recommend if anyone chooses this location, be very cautious. Oh, the $2500 that I spent last year was after my insurance that paid for the full exam, a huge chunk of the glasses cost including the frames. I still had $2500 out of pocket. Again, they made bank on me. They tried to do it again this year. read more

I'd love to give this location 5 stars! Everybody was so kind and helpful from begging to end. Amber E. is an amazing employee there. She helped me find the perfect pair of glasses and sunglasses. We made wonderful conversation and I really enjoyed my time in store because of her. However. Dr. John Daw is a very rude and disrespectful individual. I repeatedly told him that I was not buying contacts, as I hardly ever wear them. I bought prescription sunglasses specifically so I didn't have to buy contacts. Dr. Daw proceeded to give me a sample pack of contacts just in case I changed my mind. He asked for me to put a pair on to see if I enjoyed them. I put them on and continued my time in the store. While I was checking out I was told I was paying for a contact fitting exam. I said that was incorrect, obviously I wasn't buying contacts. Dr. Daw was asked to give the approval to fix it. Instead, he came out and told me that I had told him I wanted to buy contacts. I assured him I did not, in which point he became very verbally aggressive and extremely rude. He made me give him back the 'samples'. As I handed them over, he very rudely said "and the ones your wearing". I took them out and he very rudely stormed off. A simple mistake was made, a miscommunication that could have easily been fixed. Instead Dr. Daw was rude, hostile and disrespectful. Very disappointed. read more

I've bought glasses before and I knew I was making a mistake the minute I walked into this place. Never use a chain store when it's for something as important as your vision. I really hate to give a one star because almost everyone who helped me was really nice but in the end the one star is all they deserve, excluding the Doctor who did a great job. I bought two pairs of progressive lens's, clear glasses and sun glasses along with frames. The first employee that helped me is really nice but made some critical mistakes. The biggest mistake was marking my pupil on the lens, it was so far off on both glasses that I could not believe I had to say something, "that's not right". Even when she fixed it I felt that it still was not right but gave her the benefit of the doubt, my bad. I picked them up when they where done and had them fitted, I told the man helping me that they're not right. He blew me off and told me to give it some time. I came back a week later and had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with him again, again he blew off my concerns and told me to come back in a week if I feel they're still not right. I came back a week later thankfully the original woman was there. I was talking with her and the man who kept blowing me off was towards the back of the showroom and started talking over the woman who was helping me, what a jerk. The woman and myself sat down and she checked my glasses and agreed that she did indeed mark my pupils wrong, again. We had the lens's remade and I came back two weeks later. The young woman who helped me asked for my clear glasses and I said what about the sunglasses? She looked at me puzzled and then looked up my order. I can't believe they wasted my time again. I'm really starting to hate this place now. They call me a week later and tell me they have both sets of new lens's and that I can wait while they install them. They tell me it will be an hour, so I go over to Whole Foods for lunch. I go back and they tell me there's a problem, the sunglass lens does not fit in the frames and then she shows me how screwed up it is. I can't believe this place. She says there's no way to fix it and I will have to pic a new set of frames that are smaller that will accommodate my prescription. Really, you have got to be kidding me? I originally spent two hours picking out the first two frames and now you want me to do it again. I paid cash for both no insurance and In the end I kind of got what I wanted but I will never go back. read more

My daughter and I went in for an exam and glasses. What I was most impressed with initially was the large inventory of frames there were to choose from. Dr. Daw did our exams and he was very thorough and informative, he even took the time to explain everything to my teenage daughter. After the exam the staff was amazing and helped us pick out great frames that stayed within my budget. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a low stress experience getting a great pair of glasses at a fair price! read more
