I have been going to Visionworks for years because of the consistent value and quality. On my recent visit I called ahead of time to confirm they could replace my glass lenses, unfortunately after coming in for the exam I was told they couldn't service my glasses. I was very disappointed, as this was the reason I had called before hand and I would've had everything addressed elsewhere if this information was provided during my initial call. The service is great when ode ring your glasses and the eye exam. It's pricy and I don't think it's worth it. They get measurements but still did not fit my face. Had to adjust it multiple times. For about $600 for glasses and contacts it takes a long time to receive and I would expect everything to be right first time go. My college student lost her glasses. We came in for a contact lens appointment the past Wednesday and left without a trial pair of lenses, lens rx or contact fitting. When I ask for clarification on why we had an appointment and left with nothing, not even a follow up, the receptionist lady with the long dark hair was beyond rude and disrespectful. She told me someone would call me when they got a chance. Huh? Needless to say, I will be contacting my insurance company in regards to this half appointment. Called back today, Monday. Almost had a terrible experience with their horrible receptionist, Lisa. Her lack of professionalism and rude demeanor will damage the trust of patients. BUT I am so glad I still decided to give them a chance because the optometrist and Shelby made this a very great experience. I was treated with dignity and respect. I appreciate the time the Optometrist took with me(given the anxiety I had at the beginning) getting glasses and finding out that your vision has gotten worse over the years was a hard pill to swallow, after my exam I got to sit with Shelby, who helped me choose a pair of glasses just right for me. Absolutely horrid experience. First when I arrived they told me oh we tried to contact you and tell you that you aren't due for your exam until after June 11th. I said no, I didn't receive a call and my benefits always reset on January 1. After 10 minutes, they realized they were mistaken and told me they would fit me in. Fit me in??? I had an appt. The doctor and the pre-exam tech were wonderful, but the front desk! OMG. First, my exam and contact fitting are covered by insurance, but they demanded I pay for my contact fitting even with the insurance rep telling them it's covered over the phone. When refused and said they could bill me and I would turn it into my insurance for their payment she threatened to call the police on me. They handed me a receipt showing what I paid, but their internal memo (which the front desk person accidentally put in my envelop) shows that they entered it as a covered expense in the system and I paid a $50 co-pay which I don't have. It's fraud! Won't go back. Rude and shady please! read more

I've been going to this location for two years now for my annual eye exams, and they have been great to me every time I go in! The staff is really nice. The doctor is kind and informant. I learn something new every time I go in and learn more about my vision and health. The glasses are reasonably priced. I do have vision insurance, therefore I do get a certain percentage off on frames and free eye exams. However, I do believe their eye exams are reasonably priced if you do not have vision insurance, and they have deals periodically throughout the year for their eye exams and frames. Also, they have a quick turn around when you're getting new glasses or getting your glasses fixed! However, the only thing I didn't like is how they have multiple test for multiple things, and with me being 25 with just only a stigmatism, I didn't really need all of those exams. Thankfully my insurance covered it, but I felt as if they made it seem necessary, when I felt as if it wasn't (and turned out to be that I didn't need it). read more

Litterally says everywhere walkins welcome. Went in and was immediately turned away saying we don't accept them. Like the one and only day I have time and a sitter and you couldn't fit me in. DISHONEST AND POOR SERVICE!! I went to Visiowork the one in Pooler GA 31322 on 8/4, and had the eye exam and bought a pair of glasses. The brand is Ray ban and the price is $250. As I confirmed with them that I will get the brand new one. On 8/7, they sent me a text to pick up. Today when I picked it up, it is scratched and had the sticker glue on it, even the letter on the frame's leg all off. The manager tried to bluff me out kept saying it's the new one. The new one could be like this situation, I totally doubt. I insist she replaces me with a new frame that I deserve. She just grabs the one display on the shelf asks me to change to that one. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. She is saying all the frames on shelves are all new. She said" if you want a new one will transfer from other stores they are also display glasses. I do not want to know how their business process. It's not my problem , I said to her" the new frame is what I ask." I returned the glasses to the manager and now I called the customer service. And I hope the higher-level management will give me a solution. Beware the rude manager and the staff. read more

I have had 3 points of contact with your office and every single time I had to nicely ARGUE with staff. 1st time was over the phone and that was my fault for not learning then. Idk why I still booked an appt. for my family. Wasn't satisfied 1st appt and STILL gave it 3rd shot, only to be disappointed. I work in customer service/Insurance and have never argued with clients in the 10 yrs I've been licensed! Janine was the only respectful employee that helped us. Red haired lady was passive aggressive & really just thought she knew everything, which I still don't even trip off but poor girl refused to learn anything. Only suggestion I have is better training on Customer Service. You should ALWAYS go above & beyond for customers. I have a household of 5 and due to rude staff, I chose to take my business elsewhere- mind you this is after I spent over $800 out of pocket. My husband shouldn't have had to call VSP Ins. to confirm coverage- that's what their office should have done. Altho I didn't "qualify" for the program in question, I still knew what I was talking about.. note that there's a HUGE difference between Not Qualifying & (per their staff) KNOWING FOR A FACT THAT THAT COVERAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE. The coverage WAS available - I just didn't qualify, per your Office and that is perfectly fine. It was the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE that was the issue. Ps. To anyone who has an extremely high prescription like me & can't drive with glasses; there is a program VSP offers that will give you a YEAR worth of daily lenses for only $20! I went to Visionworks earlier this year at a point when I had no vision insurance. They were helpful and understanding of my situation, and gave me a fair price that I was able to afford out of pocket. I purchased a contact lens exam/prescription and six months of contacts. Best price around and friendly service. They can be a bit pushy about their deals, savings and packages, but all in all, my experience was positive and I'll be going back in the future. read more

Horrible service! Appointment was scheduled for 3:30, and they took me in at 4:15. So I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor which is ridiculous. They had 4 other patients waiting to be seen as well. It was a zoo in there. They do not have respect for your time as a client. There are like 5-6 employees walk-in around but unable to do anything since you're waiting to see the doctor. read more

I just love the staff at this Visionworks! Our family has been going for years. My son and I recently went for our yearly eye exams. India is the best! She is friendly, warm, funny, and honest. MY son loved a certain paIr, but India felt they were a little big for his face. She walked over and found the exact same frame in a smaller size. Viola! A perfect fit. We picked them up today. Paid over $300 for new glasses and 1) the optometrist was dirty with mustard all over his face and on his fingers while working with my eyes and 2) they couldn't even provide me with a lens cleaner cloth. $350 for glasses and this is the service provided. Not impressed. read more

I came in for an exam and to get contacts. While waiting to see the doctor I watched on of the employees holler and hang up on a customer ( that should have been my sign to leave) My exam was great, the doctor did not have the contacts I needed and had to order, so no contacts were available for 7 to 10 days. The doctor told me to try them and if there was a problem come back into see him. I received and tried on the trial contacts and after 3 days, I came into see the doctor but was told he was not there, they would speak with him and order another trial set, which again took 7/10 days. This time I received 2 sets of trials, my daughter picked them up and the staff was rude to her. I tried both sets over the weekend, did not like either pair. I called the office and spoke with the lady I assume who handles the contacts, she was rude and still would not make me an appt to see the doctor, just told me to continue another day and let them know the next day if I liked the trials. What was one day going to do. I already told her I did not like them. At this point I gave up with this rude office and the contacts. 1. the employees act as if they have no respect for customers. 2. why would you not have trials and make the customer wait 7/10 days. 3. If I ask to see the doctor to discuss what issues I am having, I should be given an appointment to see the doctor. I have made an appointment with another office to have another exam ( which I have to pay for out of pocket since I have already used mine for the exam) and to get contacts, which I have been without for a month. This place is a joke. Rating AWFUL!!!! And do not contact me to resolve my issues, you had that chance and failed miserably. read more

Went to Visionworks to have them straighten the frame and get both lenses to stay in the frame after stepping on the eyeglasses during an athletic event. Within 4-5 minutes the staff had the frame fixed and made sure my vision was normal and that the frame was centered properly. After telling me it was no charge, they said to come back again if I had any further trouble. read more

The staff, doctor, and tech were great. I got in and out in about 40 minutes. The pre-exam went very well and the doctor took his time with me to get me the right prescription. The problem came when I was ordering glasses with the manager. She entered my order incorrectly and as a result my glasses took twice as long to get to me. She showed very little attention to what she was doing and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Will not be returning. read more

Went to see the eye doctor about a month ago. Prescription wasn't quite right so I waited a week and called back to see about coming in to be examined again. The receptionist told me that she needed to speak to the doctor and she would call me back. She called back the next day and stated the doctor would write a new prescription and order me a trial pair for the new prescription. I waited a week for a call letting me know the trial pair was there for me to pick them up. No call so I called them. No one even ordered my trial pair and she stated they would overnight them. A week goes by and still no call so I called back. They stated they don't have any notes on the doctor writing me a new prescription! If they ever do get my trial pair of contacts I WILL NEVER GO TO HERE AGAIN!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION AMONGST THE WORKERS, DOCTOR or PATIENTS! read more
