After a serious bout with pneumonia, and a month in the hospital, although I was reluctant and somewhat skeptical, at first, I was certain I needed some help to obtain a full recovery before returning home. This is where the Blue Sky Manor came into play. Keep in mind I am very particular about my surroundings, and people I surround myself with. Sona, the Director, obviously knows this business, and exactly what she is doing. Blue Sky Manor is kept clean at all times, has a nice aesthetic appearance, and most importantly provides an individualized care program, for all residents. Additionally, Sona maintains an excellent staff. I would specifically like to point out the exceptional work of Sonia, very kind and understanding, and extremely professional. Gabriel, the assistant Director, is equally good at his job. I would also like give a special thanks out to Rocio, certainly the master of craft, and of of course Amparo, Joanna, and the rest of the staff as well for continuing to do a great job, always kind and pleasant. She was kind, gentle and eager to care for her patient. Susan was the angel we needed in an extremely emotional situation. Gigi ( the owner) worked with us in parallel with the agreement stipulations, confirming we felt comfortable with the details and payment options. Overall this company was professional and compassionate, we didn't feel like they were taking advantage of us like so many of these types of agencies do.

The place is beautiful, lots of flowers and greens, plenty of parking, lots of activities and I could go on and on about all the amenities; however, the most important asset this facility has is their staff. From the front office, administration, care givers, cleaning crew, kitchen and activities crew THE MOST CARING AND COMPASSIONATE, I have yet to find someone that is not that way. My father passed just a few days ago and all the out pouring of attention that Mom and the family has received from Meridian staff has been incredible. My has decided not to move out with any of us, we wanted to take her with us, we are all good children to her I promise ; but she decided that she feels so comfortable there that wants to stay. Better compliment than that of a resident having the choice to stay or leave and yet wants to stay can't be found. Thank you Meridian staff from my siblings and I we are eternally grateful to you for the compassion you shown to my dad and the love and attention you continue to give to my mom.

The first person they sent the first time my son ever had care was a self medicating diabetic who came to the job with low sugar and passed out. Paramedics had to be called. When I called them to say what happened they said they didn't even have emergency contacts for her on file. It took over a year for them to find another person who could come one day a week after school. I specified any day. But they never had anyone. When they did, she was great. After 2 months she said she couldn't come anymore. Another year goes by and they finally find someone. At this pointu sin was too thin due to ARFID issues. I explained to her we needed to get weight on him. I was taking a college class and when I would get home he'd be asleep and exhausted. Next day he said his legs and arms hurt. The next week I set up a nanny cam since I wouldn't be home. She was having my son do planks and other calisthenics!!!! She did t even ask if this was okay. I had her removed fromu son's care. Another year goes by and I finally find a friend of the family. So she jumos through their hoops for bothering process. Took her a month of CPR class. Orientation, etc none of which was paid. Then she starts watching son, I sign the timecards and 2 months later she has NEVER been paid!?? We have been back and forth and they keep giving excuses as to why they haven't paid her, trying to blame her and the regional center saying things I was able to prove as untrue. This is probably what happened to the other great lady that suddenly couldn't come. We kept calling and every week for 6 weeks we were told she'd be paid and then wasn't. So now she won't want my son because she hasn't been paid. This company is a joke! I don't even want to give 1 star. Shame on them for not paying their care providers.
