Ask yourself, do you want to start your life over again at 55? I was living alone in a beautiful condo, but loneliness led to depression. Who wants to cook and eat by themselves? NOT ME! And television is not the best company. I looked around and found a senior home with an aging population and a youthful spirit. Emerald Court has amazingly wonderful activities. When there's no holiday, they make up their own. The best holiday this year was senior prom. We all were transported to our high school days. We had a King and Queen of the Senior Prom. Besides the singing, swinging bands, we have on a Saturday or Sunday, every week on Thursdays we have Happy Hour. Holidays are another game changer. They dress up each holiday with decorations from ceiling to floor. We have a holiday party with a singing, swinging band, hors d'oeuvres and light drinks. I don't want to forget to tell you about the scheduled activities for every day of the week. When you wake up in the morning, you've got 12 or 13 activities listed on the daily activity board. We have activities from bingo to Wii Bowling Some activities are for active people and some activities are for people who sit in chairs. They don't leave anybody out.. We have two dining rooms and a bistro. . But most of all we have a dedicated staff. This place puts residents first. They take care of you with a smile and a caring heart. Emerald Court in Anaheim is a lovely living facility with independent living and assisted living and a memory care. The staff are fabulous. The caretakers are wonderful. The front desk are helpful the chefs cook, lovely meals three times a day in three different restaurants. My mother has lived there for close to two years. She is 94 and assisted living, and I joined her for music classes, history classes, and all their holiday festivities around the calendar, which are absolutely amazing. I don't believe you can go wrong living here! I helped a very dear friend of 40 years, she had been living alone and happened to fall, her family was very concerned about her continuing to live alone. After visiting six or seven assisted living places, she decided on Emerald Court, it is truly a beautiful place! Emerald Court has independent, senior living as well as assisted and memory care. They offer three different restaurants for if you count the one in memory care the food is amazing, they offer everything from home cooked to expensive restaurant Quality with flavor that is amazing. This is not your normal bland Senior food! We have eaten there with my girlfriend on several occasions. The courtyard are very accessible and well kept. The apartments, as well as all common areas are well cared for they are super clean and easy to distinguish one hallway from another. This in itself is extremely unusual, in assisted living buildings in fact, I have been in over 20 and I've never seen this before. There are so many activities every week to choose from that you cannot possibly take part in everything which brings us to the staff. The instructors of the classes. Everything from exercise Spanish crafts, origami are patient and amazing. As is the management they are always cheerful and helpful as are the people who wait on tenants in the restaurant. The main restaurant even has a host who makes sure the people are seated in a timely fashion, with other residence. And once again, the chefs are amazing. Down to changing the food and providing seasonal Fare as well as the regular hamburgers, pasta, chicken, dishes, delicious, and well seasoned although if you wanted it on the blender side, you can have it as everything is made to your specifications truly, a restaurant Quality. And location not only is it freeway close but the neighborhood is extremely clean, comfortable and easy to walk in whether you join the silver slippers, walking Club or you just venture out on your own. It truly is a well appointed clean safe area for residence to walk. They have celebrations of holidays from simple things like Memorial Day to a Hawaiian day or backyard barbecue along with the major things like Christmas and Easter. It truly is a Senior's paradise. This place is horrible! They took advantage of my grandma and how much money she owns. Do not bring your loved ones here if they are high maintenance and require lot of work. Their staff is super rude to me and my family. They accused my mother of elder abuse to my grandma, which is completely rude and wrong. My mom does nothing but help my grandma because their shitty workers take more than 30 minutes to help my grandma use the restroom. My grandma has one kidney she cannot wait 30 mins to use the restroom. They then get mad when we help her use the restroom even tho they take forever. Every time i'm there they are disrespectful to me and my family. For the amount of money my grandma pays she should be getting top notch care. Fix your system emerald court! read more

I live here for 3 years and it is getting worse year after years. specaily the foods, no taste, same old menus every other weeks, very boring and give you very small portions. my orders are always missing items when I picked up my foods, the cook didn't care and always pick on my orders. I complaints to upper management but not much improvement. This place is planing to charge the residents $2 to pick up there own foods at 2026, they have start charging us to drop off our package that we ordered from amazon, markets etc... if we don't pick up ourself within 2 days. this place finds a way to bill us beside increasing our rent every year with high %. Please really think carefully before you plan to go live there, unless you are very rich. I don't like to write reviews and this is the 1st time I do this bc I can't put up with it much longer. I chose emerald court for my mom because it was so close to my house in Fullerton. I thought she would have a harder time acclimating but she made friends right away! I enjoy visiting this location to see my close friend. The building is very clean and beautiful. I'm very happy to see my friend is well taken care of. The staff is very kind and always there to help. When one of her neighbors in the apartment had a complicated health issue but had trouble connecting with her primary care doctor, the resident director went above and beyond. As a resident I was first impressed by the parties and event celebrations. But I find no substance beyond that. The staff is so superficial and the mismanagement quite alarming. I was sold a bill of goods by the sales agent. I was manipulated out of rent money by the Director and sales agent. The Resident Relations Director committed Elder Abuse and is unable to understand what behaviors were unacceptable and therefore no accountability on her part. The Director continued with the lack of accountability. Instead they both demonized me. Their dining room has servers who are untrained. Waiting for decent service is a hit and miss experience. One server was put on the floor said she had not gotten her food handlers certificate yet but they were desperate. Another said she was only 17 and yet I saw her delivering alcohol to my table. This is illegal. They are understaffed and according to servers there they give time off liberally. I have PTSD and they further traumatized me and created horrible damage to me. No one is trained to understand emotional weaknesses. I have not met one staff member in charge of any division here who can offer compassion or insight. They are all so very limited on any human level of depth. This just a party place. Fun and no substance. read more

If you care about your loved ones, do NOT place them at Emerald Court. Although they will tell you on your tour that they will support your loved one through all stages of aging and levels of need, it is NOT true. It is a complete LIE!!! The director is a complete nightmare. She has a history of kicking people out that are not friendly or display any kind of behavior issue. My father had a medical issue that caused him to have accidents. He ultimately needed surgery to correct the issue. Instead of working with the family and his doctors to correct the issue, we were issued a very formal letter from their corporate lawyer that stated that he would be evicted if the issue continued. Thank God we got him out of there!! He is thriving now that he doesn't live at Emerald Court!!! Emerald Court only wants residents that are happy, low maintenance and do not cause ANY extra work for the staff. I wouldn't trust this place to care for anyone that I cared about!!! Save yourself a lot of stress and heartache and choose another facility!! read more

Kelsey is wonderful, cheerful, kind, and thoughtful. My father has been there for going on two years. He entered Emerald Court as Independent Living and now at at almost 93 years old, he has transitioned into Assisted Living as he needs help with showering. They also check in on him in person several times a day. A host of activities are offered, as well as a clean gym and exercise classes (We attend an exercise class on Mondays in which you stay seated in the your chair. My dad loves it and I love doing the class with him.) There's wii bowling, art sessions, gardening, lots of different card games and a lovely dining room with a menu to choose from. Dad really enjoys the food. In all this time, he has been displeased with only two meals. My husband and I have eaten there several times and have always had a delicious meal. And the residents are called by their first names - very friendly and welcoming. My dad has lived in two other senior residences and by far, this outshines them all. One of the most difficult things I've had to do, was move my mom out of her home and in to a senior living place. But is was understandably far more difficult for mom. The first place she had moved in to was not at all what I thought it would be. I won't go in to detail, but it was literally making my mom sick. She had later found Emerald Court and it turned out to be a true gem! Her apartment feels like a normal apartment/condo and has a full kitchen, so I can cook when I come to visit there. Although there has been some turnover, most of the staff is exceptional: Adrian, Debbie, Gabriel, Pablo, Elizabeth, Maria...they've all been there since my mom arrived over four years ago. Mom really enjoys the food. (We love Dining Director Tony!) They have a great Sunday brunch, Saturday night "candlelight dinners" and a Bistro for more upscale eating. (They even have Beyond Burgers for Vegans!) They are pup friendly (have a "bark park" :), beautiful wellness center w/ state of the art equipment and plenty of classes, transportation, happy hours, housekeeping, and so much more. What I appreciate is their willingness to listen (they have weekly resident's meetings) and continue to improve and add new offerings. (i.e. Low Vision Support Group meetings). They also have an Ambassador program, as they realize being a newcomer can be daunting. In fact, my mom is now an ambassador and would be happy to show someone around or answer questions from a resident's POV. (And believe me, mom will "keep it real" ;) On a personal note, living so far away from Mom, I feel grateful knowing she is happy where she is and I certainly enjoy visiting! read more

My mom has lived here for the past eight years. Recently it was decided the time had come to move from Independent Living to an assisted living apartment. Mom was very hesitant at first however the staff reassured her it would be the best decision. She has some memory issues and the staff found an AL unit in the same wing one floor down making some of the transition even easier. Everything has gone great. The AL staff is caring and compassionate in every way keeping an eye on her to make sure she gets comfortable with her new surroundings and routine without her having to give up her independence. It is also a big relief for me as I no longer worry about her medications being taken correctly. The community is beautifully maintained. With a recent addition and upgrades to the public areas in the original building it feels like you have stepped into a very inviting and warm home. The dining room serves delicious meals and Sunday's feature a beautiful brunch complete with an omlete station. So many activities for the residents to choose from and entertainment is brought in many nights throughout the month. The staff is outstanding and care for each resident as if they were family. I cannot recommend this Senior Community enough for its warm and caring relationship with their residents. It also has given me a great sense of peace and reassurance that mom is happy and in good safe hands. read more

I visit (with my clients) many, many assisted living communities each month. Most recently I brought a family to Emerald Court in Anaheim for a visit to see what they could offer to the couple. The two daughters, mom and I went on the tour. We also ate lunch to see how the service and food was. The staff were very professional and caring. The experience was very good. Just after this, we also visited two more communities. There was nothing to compare, the professionalism and attention to detail from Carole and her staff for this family was outstanding! The family (a couple) moved in and reported that it all went smooth. After checking with them weeks later, they are so happy they chose this community, the daughters reported that the couple is doing very well. We have had two family members at Emerald Court and I can't say enough positive things about it. My father was there initially until he passed at 91, and we met with the administrators after that. They asked for anything the facility could have done better and our family honestly couldn't think of ANYTHING! Our dad was very happy there. Now our mother in law is there and we feel very blessed that she is in such a wonderful senior apartment facility. She loves it. My mother lived at Emerald Court for a year until she passed, my father was there for 2 years before he passed. They were in independent living for a year and my father was in assisted living for the 2nd year. I am so thankful we found this wonderful place for my parents. The staff, food, care, ...everything was excellent. I especially appreciated the non-smoking environment & the "cleaning" solution used by housekeeping. Don't be fooled. The facility looks spotless and close to perfect BUT this place has the most rude and unhelpful staff.

My father was here for 10 months prior to transitioning to a memory care facility. I was extremely pleased with the assisted living staff. They have a veteran crew that was able to assist my father with grooming as well as help him interact with other residents. They were more successful at these tasks than I was when my father was under my care. I highly recommend these folks. The entire staff was more than friendly to both my father and I. read more

My parents moved into Emerald Court 16 months ago. My Dad was a fall risk and had memory issues. We visited 15 different senior communities in the area and choose this one. They moved into assisted living facilities. While they don't have a true "memory care" section they work with you as needed. As long as you are not combative or constantly trying to get away they will try to make it work. The assisted living staff is great, very friendly people led by Jennifer and Cynthia. They were there every step of the way as my Dad passed away a few months back. My Dad got hospice care so they were assisted by the hospice company but also the staff at Emerald Court. My Mom has decided to stay there and I am very happy about that. It takes some getting used to moving into assisted living versus independent living. The staff checks on you from time to time even if there are no current issues so it can be a little annoying I guess I would say at first. Assisted living at Emerald court provides laundry service every week as well as cleaning services. Daily visits and trash removal all the time! Food is good. Any place you eat at every day can get old, but overall it is good. We visit several times a week and the staff always says Hi to us. The overall atmosphere of the place is positive thanks to the staff and that is as good a statement as you can make about any place! read more
