Each room has a large window, and its own bathroom with toilet, large shower with a padded bench, and sink. Each cottage has a wonderful covered porch with comfortable furniture. There is also an enclosed patio. One building is for memory care residents, so it is locked. The other building is not locked. The property has lovely, large, shady oaks, and a large lawn where I like to have picnics with my mother. Most important is the administration and caregivers. There is a full time nurse, activities director, chef, manager, and the all important caregivers. They are all wonderful, caring individuals for whom I am so grateful for.

The Third Floor is where the mental patients that must be locked in are kept, however not one employee of the facility could be bothered to tell us that. I am disgusted that Saber Healthcare Group of Cleveland, Ohio would keep people like this, where the mentally unstable are pushed into clusters of humanity, left to sit and stare with no supervision beyond keeping the elevator, and stair doors locked. That is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. When it came time to have them leave, all went wrong with the billing and finances. They were charged double rent TWICE during the months we were working on moving them out to be with family in another state. I HAD to find the errors and chase them with the property finance person - one was refunded promptly, the other refund has dragged out for months after dozens of emails, many ignored and unanswered. I kept pushing for an answer and was finally told it would be refunded, but was "so old" from November of 2023 it would take several more weeks. It never happened. Now their finance rep says they don't owe us the double payment refund and to "look at their ledger" and sent me a copy. Means nothing when we have a charge twice taken from our bank and I have to justify and decipher their ledger? NO WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER, much less a family in our position. Lack of customer service and follow through is appalling. No way to treat a family or run a business.

My father was a resident at the Lakewood Ranch location for approximately two years, where he was…read moregenerally well-liked by staff and did not present any significant behavioral issues. To extend the benefits of his long-term care policy, however, we made the decision to transfer him to the Bradenton location. Initially, the transition appeared positive under the leadership of the then-director. However, after her abrupt departure, the facility was placed under the direction of a very young individual whose prior role was in sales and who lacked any relevant experience in long-term care management. Within a few months, the new director attempted to evict my father based on allegations that were unfounded and inconsistent with his history. Upon reviewing my father's email account, we discovered multiple communications from the director that were unprofessional in tone. Additionally, we identified concerning indications that my father's Amazon Alexa device may have been improperly linked to the director's personal Amazon account, raising serious privacy concerns. After we challenged the eviction and requested clarification, the request was withdrawn and an apology was issued. Unfortunately, a few months later, the director again attempted to evict my father, forcing us to secure alternative accommodations under stressful and time-sensitive circumstances. A few days later, we learned that the acting director had resigned although it's possible he was terminated. Following my father's departure, we were informed by someone in the management office that his final month's payment would be prorated. However, when we followed up, we were told by the new director and VP of operations that over $1,500 would be withheld due to furniture items allegedly not removed from his room--items that belonged to the Lakewood Ranch location, not to my father. Our experience reflects serious concerns with management judgment, communication and billing practices. I would therefore urge families considering this facility to proceed with extreme caution and to seek clear, written assurances regarding policies and oversight.
