They were great--they came right away and provided a lovely full-time caregiver who really cared about my mom. When she was back on her feet in independent senior living, we continued to use Visiting Angels to help in the morning and dinnertime. When she moved to Assisted Living in that facility, she needed extra help in the morning to shower, get dressed and eat breakfast and lunch. Visiting Angels was there no matter the need. The caregivers are professional, kind, caring and responsible. Special shout out to Betsy and Jackie who my mom adored because not only did they help but they were great company for her. I believe the great care she received from Visiting Angels was responsible for helping my mom live to 102 with all her faculties intact. The ower, Steve, and the office staff, especially Donna, were always responsive even after hours and extremely helpful with whatever issue arose. Home Instead Senior Care used high pressure sales tactics on my single 86 year old mother to sign a…read morecontract. They were told by my mother that see wanted to try the service and see if it was a good fit. They charged $130 for a health care evaluation for there own baseline. They secured a security deposit for 2 weeks of service @ 8 hours per week 16 hours total. There home health care aid had no cooking skills, was not herself health conscious and provied little or no amenable care other than to chat up my mother @ $32/hr. After 4 days of 4 hours of service my mother decided it was not a good fit and called Home Instead to cancel services. 4 days latter they withdrew another 2 weeks pay out of my mothers account of which my mother had reversed. Then they then sued us in Superior Court for none payment. There was no phone call from Home Instead to discuss the matter or fined a resolution. This company was a predator and created a-lot of unnecessary stress when it can to my mother and our family!

I was paying extra for the caretaker's food well every day he said where's my food and buy me something. I was told to be patient as my dad's health declined and I had to trust in the process of the caretaker being comfortable.... protect your dignity and your loved one and don't let a sweet voice that's personable trick you! Every person there, in every position from front desk, to management, to custodian, to nurses, etc is always friendly, freely smiles, and has genuine concern for the people who are there. The location is easily accessible, the parking is abundant, the rooms and common areas are well kept, and there is always a nice place to stop off as one is leaving the area after their visit, - from Trader Joes, to the wonderful Public Library, to the Starbucks Coffee just north on Hwy 35, to Lowes & LIDL. My mother died under their care they had 10 days to make her better and they neglected her and abused her. Shalom in charge of Shorrock gardens is a complete liar all of these places are for profit. They make $169 million dollars a year off of Medicare and charges are false and the doctors are not who they say they are. Their nurses are not registered they're not even a PCT. Overworked and understaffed just like every other nursing home care facility or rehab. All complete Care places need to go under investigation, I am trying to get all of of these facilities to be investigated along with coral Harbor in Neptune City New Jersey. Whoever is reading this reach out to me I need to get complaints from other people I need to be heard complete Care of any town and any state is a complete sham. Do your homework get on lawsuits complete Care also violations. We need to make complaints against the medical board and the health department and we need the government to step in to make sure that our elderly are safe and not disposable. All I kept hearing was my mother was old he did not die of anything except an infection that could have been fixed and they neglected her. Ocean township ambulance and the brick Police department wrote it in their reports about The neglect of this place, they must be held responsible.
