If zero was an option I would most definitely give Unity that!! Our family chose Unity because we…read morehad heard good things. However our experience with them was far from good. It was anything but that. On day one we were told a nurse would contact us the next day. 3 days passed before anyone contacted our family. There was no clear directions provided upon admission. Our mother was only in their care for 11 days, if you can call it care, as the only contact was admission and then 3 days later and the day of passing. Then we were told someone would come pick up the bed and other equipment the next day which never happened and required us to call the day after that to ask someone to come pick it up. I understand that doesn't seem like that big of a deal however when you are going through that emotional turmoil you don't want an additional reminder of the pain you already feel. But the final straw for me was the fact that our mother had been gone for 10 days and we had been waiting to bring her ashes home yet we couldn't because the Unity doctor had not signed her death certificate. As a family who is already mourning the passing of their loved one I find it quite unempathetic of someone who is supposed to be a professional with compassion for others, especially in these circumstances. I would never in my life recommend Unity to anyone who wants their loved ones to have compassionate care at the end of their days.

She was supportive and communicated clearly and always timely. Unity provided all needed equipment quickly. The CNA was good with Mom. I cannot recommend Unity strongly enough! 5 stars meaning not just great but outstanding!

I saw Dr. Lack as a referral from my gynecologist. I can only speak to his dermatologist…read moretreatments as I wasn't there for any of the cosmetic offerings. He was able to suggest treatment pathways for my pelvic pain (which weren't all run by him, so not in it for the $), and got my eczema under control in a matter of weeks (at that point it was on my face, fingers, and feet). I had reacted badly to some prescription steroid creams in the past, so when the pharmacy wanted to give me the same refill, Dr. Lack called and spoke with them directly to make sure I didn't get the excipient (non-active ingredient) I was reacting badly to. The only complaint I have is they always seem to be running late, even at 9:00 AM. I always plan to be there at least an hour, even for a checkup. They put me in a waiting room right away, but then I wait...and wait. If you have skin (or other issues - check the website), the staff is knowledgeable and courteous, but expect to wait. Oh, and the woman who calls to confirm appointments and sometimes works the desk is named Isis. It makes me feel like I'm in some kind of soap opera universe :)

So my sister had a bad case of vertigo and we went to the Silver Cross Immediate Care next to the…read moremain hospital where they confirmed what we had, did what few tests they could perform, and mentioned we really belonged in an Emergency Room. We found out the wait at the nearby Silver Cross Hospital ER was three hours, BUT Silver Cross also had a satellite facility in Homer Glen with all the same resources and very little wait ... so, we thought we'd give it a try. Glad we did. When we arrived there was only one person ahead of us, and we were promptly registered and given a room. Long and short ... we had an EKG, a brain scan, and blood tests quickly put in motion. They did the tests right there, the on-site MD reviewed them right there, and we were given appropriate medicines right there. So this facility has all the resources of the main ER ... with the exception of not having dozens of rooms and specialist MDs one might need. We think there were only about 8 ER rooms in Homer Glen. This was a very nice process and satellite ER. We would not hesitate to use this one again, and we suspect that as people realize there is a much faster alternative like this ... they may stop going to the Silver Cross Hospital ER. We guess it all depends on what ailment one has, and whether you are being brought in by ambulance or you drive here yourself. This Homer Glen facility is recommended.

Dr Singh was the first dermatologist to take my concern seriously. It turned out that I had another mole that needed to be excised on my back that I would not have noticed. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone needing a dermatological appointment.

I recently changed health insurance (from one Blue Cross plan to another) so I checked with this office THREE DIFFERENT TIMES to make sure they were still in network and my skin check would be covered. I paid my $100 copay (which is already ridiculous for preventive care) and then Blue Cross said they were out of network and charged me an extra $150. I talked to several clueless front desk people and then a super rude woman in the billing department, who refused to charge me the out of pocket cost because it had already been billed to my insurance. So I have to pay $250 just to make sure I don't have skin cancer! Never again. (Sorry, Haley.) My advice? Don't trust these people. There are plenty of other dermatologists in the city who can actually do their due diligence when asked.
