The facility is old and it shows but because my mother was completely unable to care for herself I was most concerned with her treatment from the staff. What I found (at least on her wing of the building) was a staff who kept her clean and comfortable and treated her with respect. There were a few things that needed my attention and I knew I needed to be there everyday for at least a while to keep an eye out. As I sat vigil in my dying mother's room I got compassionate concern, hugs, and even prayers from the women and men who tended to her. Her pain meds were always delivered on time. Before we put her here I saw the other reviews and was very scared for her but there was one positive review that I focused on that eased my mind.
