Messy store with a single, highly inattentive employee. Only words he spoke were a terse, "Do you need some help?" when I tried to access the back of the long box I was looking at (it had other boxes piled on top of it. At one point I had something in my hand that I wanted, and the price was right... but my presence seemed to be an annoyance to the guy, so I left without it. Clearly, this is a shop for locals only. I come to Longview often from Oregon; I've been passing by this store for years but I had never yet had time to stop in to have a look. I found myself with time today; the Open sign was lit and there were signs of life so I parked and moseyed over, full of the spirit of adventure; I tried the door (as it turned out, too gently) to no avail; the door appeared to be locked. I peered through the glass, hand shielding my eyes, and spotted the suggestion of a man advancing toward me. Out of several charitable hypotheses concerning the store's locked status I did not foresee the misfortune about to befall me, a misfortune that took the form of a jarringly rude missive from what I identified as the owner of the shop that the door was in fact unlocked and required a harder push than my dainty efforts had brought to bear. I was so taken aback at the spitting venom in the owner's voice that I felt my body retreat from the open doorway before the incredibly heavy and hard to open door had even had a chance to open fully. I tried buying comics from here, would not let me look at them because he wanted to reprice them because people were 'ripping him off' I went here twice with a year in between. was given the same excuse both times. Does not stock new comics, only buys comics for locals pull list. read more

There's a lot of cool stuff in this store there really is. However it's a little cluttered but that's only because it's a small space. The comics are very organized and even numerically sorted so big plus there. The shop owner id assume isn't that friendly the place isn't welcoming to be honest. I felt more of in the way than anything when I was in there. I quickly looked at what I wanted to then promptly left. Honestly I'm not sure what the prices were so go ahead and check this place out but just don't expect it to be the local friendly comic/card shop every hobbyist would like to visit. read more

This review may be bias because I've never been to another comic shop and the owner is a super close family friend but this place is fantastic! Even if it wasn't the only comic shop in town it'd still be great! Whenever I make it in there the owner is super nice and NOT just because we're friends! I also see how nice he is to other people! He's open to starting a conversation and definitely has regular customers that enjoy the place! I've always found the selection to be fantastic with many choices! Don't sleep on Free Comic Book Day! (Which I just saw in a review from 20 days ago that it may actually happen twice a year?! I can't confirm that though!) I was surprised when I saw that the first 2 reviews were so negative and felt bad that it may have turned people off from checking this place out! The wife and I are considering moving to the area, so we came up to check things out. I, of course, had to check out the only comic shop in town. I had read the other yelp reviews and came in not knowing what to expect other than maybe less than stellar. And I was pleasantly surprised. As far as comics go, there was a great selection of back issues. I found quite a few that I had been hunting for and others for future purchases. They don't carry a lot of new issues, but you can get whatever you want brought in a subscription box (and 20% off) The owner (I assume) was working and was super nice and helpful. We had a great conversation about wolverine coming back from the dead. All in all, I would be happy to make this shop my new comic stop. Even if I don't find myself living in the area I would still return to dig through those back issues. read more

I like vista Sports Cards and Comics. They have a wide variety of titles and you can get order anything you want. If you are a subscriber with a box you also get a discount. In addition to comics and sport cards they have all the supplies you need for collecting. They also carry all sorts of magic and Pokémon cards, dice and various other supplies needed for gaming. They also have a nice section of pop culture collectibles. The owner is very friendly and has always been great! Watch for free comic book day twice a year. read more

If you are looking for sports cards, don't bother coming here. They have cards but apparently don't sell them at all. Owner was rude and obviously wanted me to leave ASAP so he could continue talking with his buddy. Also pretty much everything that actually was for sale seemed overpriced. I used to visit this place on a weekly basis as a kid. In a time when there were 5-8 card shops in town, they stood as one of the best. Prices were always more than fair and service extremely friendly. After visiting again after literally years, I can truly say: nothing has changed. In a time where price gouging is rampant, vista strives to provide their customers with the best price possible. Took a day trip to some comic book stores. First place I stopped. Wow worst experience of my life. Everything was disorganized. Was checking books on my phone. Was told no internet in store. Gave him some books and looked up eBay prices. Would not recommend. read more
