    very clean exam room

I am so grateful they moved to this location because driving out to the picket area was a drag for me and knowing I had to wait couldn't have anywhere to go was also a pain. Anyway, I was able to do a walk in last evening for my princess to get seen. The staff and doctor was super friendly and supportive. Although the wait while waiting inside the exam rooms took a while but I understood how it could be. There's so much accessible parking out front but I noticed the windows are tinted so it makes it look like they are closed but they are not. Inside is very nice and clean they do a great job with maintenance and decor. Overall I had a great experience and so did my princess. I think she wanted to stay and hang out with the staff instead lol. Thank you Visra team for your wonderful hospitality!

    The entrance behind the vehicles.

The wait was totally worth it. It's close to home and the staff were friendly. When my best friend wasn't looking to well I didn't hesitate to take him to this 24 hour clinic. Snoopy is home and back with his family. Thank you.

Overall A+ incredible. The receptionists were kind and reassuring when I called. They were beyond helpful when I arrived with my sick dog. The vet techs were professional and did a great job educating me. Dr. Kortick was compassionate and bright. She went over the plan, medications and X-rays in great detail. The office is lovely. I highly recommend Vista Veterinary Specialists.

Back to her normal silly self!

This is the second time I've brought my fur baby here for emergency services and the team that assisted at 4:30am was soooo good to us! Let me just say that my fur baby April will yell at anyone approaching us scrubs. She does not do well and is terrified of doctors. Ciara took such good care of my baby and was so personable. I came in an emotional mess and she actually had me laughing about 20 minutes into the visit. She spent enough time with us before taking April back for her exam, April practically walked herself back. Ciara continuously let me know how she was doing while monitoring her with new meds. April took to her very well. We ended up back in the ER later that day and received the same service from different staff. I cannot give enough thanks for everything you guys are doing. This is the second time I've stumbled upon this place (I didn't know they moved from the Greenhaven location) and both visits were great. The doctor even followed up with us a couple times after her visit. The facility is extremely clean and the charge for emergency services was very affordable. I didn't pay half of what I was expecting to pay for 2 same day visits. I only wish they offered primary care. Anywho, enjoy these before and afters of Miss Spicy April.

The pros: Immediate service upon arriving (we came late at night). Employees were responsive and reasonably empathetic. The cons: Price gouge. Was told I would be charged $2700 if I took him home Sunday but he could stay another night for the $3500 we had already paid. I opted to take him home due to cost and they said the only thing they would do that I couldn't at home was injectable medication vs oral. When I arrived I was charged almost $3300. So much for the $2700. My dog had been mauled and they left two wounds open and bleeding that ultimately needed stapling when I took him for a secondary follow up at my primary vet. He bled for days- when I called upset that they discharged him without properly caring for the wounds and explained what was going on in addition to sending pictures I was essentially blown off and told not to worry that it looked fine and that if I were to bring him back to have them fix what they missed- I would be charged as an entirely new appointment. After I literally defaulted on my mortgage to pay their bill. Unacceptable, infuriating and disappointing. Please try VCA before you come here.

This is our second time using this place as an emergency vet and it went very well. We called around 1am this weekend because our dog was experiencing a lot of discomfort, crying, and could not poop or throw up but was trying. We did not know it at the time, but he had GDV (twisted stomach) which is life threatening. They were able to get us in immediately, with hardly any wait in the lobby. We were originally quoted a little over $11k (we have pet insurance) as the most expensive it could have been. Overall we ended up paying a little over $7k because they refunded us from him staying less days. The surgeon, vets and vet techs were all incredibly kind, understanding, and patient. We received regular updates while our dog was in their care. He got agitated a few hours after surgery and bit a tech trying to take his temperature, and they called us right away to inform us and did not fault him at all since he was so anxious. We felt comfortable and confident with our husky in their care. Our pup is now home and resting thanks to their care and help!!

Amazing! My little dog had to have emergency surgery. She is 11 and she is very special to me. Vista took her as a referral to a new vet for her. I arrived on a Friday afternoon and the drs stabilized her. Surgery was early morning Saturday. While that sounds as if the Vet veterinary hospital standard services, but it was the caring compassion of the staff who found a phone charger so I could charge my iPhone Friday night. I spoke to a doctor 3 different time in 24 hrs. They are super supportive on visiting, assisting customers, and the facility is outstanding. I'm excited to see what the news place looks like because this one rocks. Thank you for going above and beyond for Roxy.. She is my late daughter's dog and she is very special to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless your practice.

We have utilized this hospital several times for our pets and each time has increased the appreciation we have for the facility and wonderful staff. From the initial intake personnel to the techs and veterinarians, the care and services have been above and beyond expectations. Our cat was the reason for the last visit as we were in need of euthanasia. Our dear friend was graciously taken from us with such care and beauty that my tears are flowing with the understanding that she is no longer in pain and is waiting on the other side for us. Thank you Vista, you made a challenging situation bearable and are heroes in the care of our furry families.

When I came to get Eevie's bloodwork done last year we had a bit of a false alarm kidney scare, and Dr. Thornton showed so much compassion and clear direction. The appointments never feel rushed. We followed up a year later and no kidney issues, thank goodness! Dr. Thornton even reached out on her day off to tell me the good news as soon as she got the lab work in. Eevie went in for dental extractions recently and we had another great experience. They provided me with medication to give her prior to bringing her in to help calm her and prevent nausea. They even showed me the kennel she'd be kept in - a dark room separate from dogs with huge heated kennels. I appreciated their communication every step of the way and I could tell everyone that works there is super knowledgeable and committed to their mission of being fear free. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and like you can drop by or check in at any time after you drop your pet off for a procedure. And during her exams, Eevie appreciated the many churrus and got her first taste of whipped cream one visit!

I clearly explained my dog has some sensitivity from past veterinary trauma. During the exam, they touched her from behind without warning, she gave a brief warning response (no bite), and they immediately stopped and refused to continue. The only options offered were: * come back for another paid visit with anti-anxiety meds they never told me about beforehand, or * take my dog to the back alone for sedation/anesthesia to complete vaccines. I don't understand how separating an already anxious dog from their owner, restraining them, and sedating them is considered more "fear free" than a calm, controlled vaccine with the owner present. For context, my dog regularly goes to groomers and is handled all over her body without issue. This feels specific to the vet environment, not general aggression. I later went to another highly rated clinic and they handled her immediately and professionally. She was given treats, a muzzle was only used briefly as a precaution at the end, and she received all vaccines and testing in one visit within minutes--for a better price. This clinic felt rigid, poorly communicated, and more focused on protocol and repeat visits than actually working with the animal in front of them. I would not recommend them.

But the team was so great. Got us in for a same day, after hours appointment, and scheduled his surgery within a week of calling in. Doctor Baum called me personally to explain what was happening, why he recommended the surgery, a video of how the surgery works, and a detailed estimate. Gave me time to process because it can be overwhelming mentally and financially. Staff all loved on my boy both visits - it's a good sign when your dog wags his tail entering the vets office. Day of the surgery doctor called me before and after surgery to check in, and reviewed the results with me. Private Equity firms are buying up practices and hospitals all over the country. Unfortunately, our dog's recent dental procedure was extremely disappointing. Our dog is a healthy, active 6-year-old who had been seen just two months earlier for his annual exam. We dropped him off for a dental cleaning at 8:00 a.m. and were told he was one of several dogs scheduled that day. We were told we would receive an update around 1:00 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. we received a call that he was ready to be picked up. When we arrived, the veterinarian spoke with us briefly in the crowded lobby and mentioned, almost in passing, that they had removed all four of his upper front teeth. We were shocked and had to ask her to repeat what she had said. What upset us most was not necessarily the decision itself, but the lack of communication. We were never contacted during the procedure to discuss the findings or the recommendation to remove four teeth. Although not required because we did sign the waiver, most dog owners I spoke to said their vets routinely did this. Afterward, there was little explanation of why the extractions were necessary, what the long-term implications might be, or what to expect during recovery. We were then given medications and told to administer them for 7 or 14 days. When we asked follow-up questions later by email, we were unable to get direct answers. Instead, we repeatedly received responses that did not address the specific questions we had asked. Even after speaking with a second veterinarian, our concerns remained unanswered. The experience left us feeling unheard and uninformed at a time when we were worried about our dog. A simple phone call during the procedure, a private conversation after the surgery, and clear answers to our follow-up questions would have made a tremendous difference. One thing the clinic communicated very thoroughly was the cost of the procedure. We received multiple reminders and explanations about fees before, during, and after the appointment. I only wish the same level of communication had been applied to explaining the treatment our dog received and the medications he was prescribed.

However, when two men walked in, my dog barked out of discomfort. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the receptionist.. without even making eye contact.. said in a very dismissive/fake tone, "does your dog want to wait outside?" I waited outside, while the two men who came in after me got serviced before me? While waiting, the front desk staff also made an awkward joke about my dog "not being blue, but red," and then doubled down on it when no one laughed. It came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable rather than friendly. The bigger issue came during our appointment. When we were finally brought back, the nurse had completely incorrect information and thought we were there for a prescription related to incontinence. Something my dog has never had or been treated for. I had to re-explain that we were simply there for updated shots and an exam, which should have been clearly communicated beforehand but the front desk got that wrong too. I don't blame the nurse or the vet as they were nice as could be. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and dismissive. From the front desk interaction to the lack of accurate information, it didn't give me confidence in their communication or care. I hope they take steps to improve how the front desk interacts with both pets and owners.

I have taken my cats there when they needed regular appointments for many years, as well as emergency care and they used to be good. I do expect to wait when you take them in for emergency care because there are other patients ahead of you, some more critical. I get it. So when I needed to take my cat in because she was not eating or drinking for the past few days, and her regular vet said to take her to an emergency vet, I called Mueller and was put on the "Virtual Waitlist." This was new to me, they had not had this when I had visited in the past and sounded like a great option since she was not critical, we could wait at home until they had time to see her that day. This is a lot less stressful for her and me. We were placed on the Virtual Waitlist at 11 am. At 5 pm I was sent a text that said they were ready for us and to come into the hospital. So I rushed down there and checked her in at 5:41 pm. We sat in the lobby waiting until 10:45 pm before we got into an exam room and saw a doctor. And then I was told that they could not help us and that they would see if there are other emergency vets in the area that could hospitalize my cat and provide an ultrasound the next day. I sat in the exam room for more than an hour before the Dr came back and let me know that she had found 1 place that we could possibly get into that night. I do appreciate her finding another ER hospital that was very helpful. She was doing the best she could. But I spent $178 and waited 6 hours to just go somewhere else. Which we did at midnight-I drove up to an ER Vet in Roseville. So my poor sick cat had to be in a carrier for 6 hours at Mueller and then the 45-minute drive and then 3 hours at the new ER vet. This was beyond stressful for her and me. From what I experienced, the "Virtual Waitlist" is not for their patients- it is for them to control how many people are coming in at one time and waiting in their lobby. You will still wait 5-8 hours to see a doctor after you arrive and check-in with reception. I wish they would communicate that fact more clearly. I don't think I will be using their services again after this nightmare.
