Tory took one look at my tree, and I swear I saw him smirk when he noticed the branches leaning too far left. Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! Despite having an unfortunately wrong-spelling for the name "Brian", working with him was a great experience. He was transparent about pricing, availability and walked the site to talk over things in detail. We worked through some options for what might have to happen if the water lines near some of the plants were too shallow. He also stopped to talk to me when he discovered some old french drains near one of the trees in the front. I appreciated being consulted all along the way to make sure I was involved in decisions. The price was very fair, the work was done efficiently, and I haven't had any issues about 5 months later. In scheduling the work there was issue with one of his smaller grinder equipment that he was open about needing to repair and he kept me up to date on the repair and we worked out a timeline that was good for me. I had a large oak tree removed in front of my house. It was a tricky project because it was inches…read morefrom my house and the work, and close to the sidewalk and my landscaping. It had to be done right - no taking chances. The company was recommended by a neighbor with a complicated tree removal. I was happy with the service. A crew of men finished the job in a day and a half. No cherry picker - they climb the tree directly while harnessed and cut each piece one at a time. They worked from the outside of the tree in. Each piece is tied to a rope and lowered with control, not dropped. This produced a large amount of sawdust all over the front yard but there is no way around this. At my request they worked with my neighbor to cover his pool with a tarp because of the sawdust that comes raining down. They did clean up the paved areas afterward. The only thing is some of my succulent plants in my yard had pieces broken off but nothing drastic. I thought the price was fair. As with other small businesses, they were willing to work with me on price. I would recommend them to anyone who needs professional tree work. Experienced, insured, friendly, easy to communicate with.
