We are 100% happy customers (-: We requested for all of our different palm trees, box shrubs, and podocarpus hedge to be trimmed back (all if not most were at least 2-3 stories tall). The crew was on time, extremely efficicent and communicative. Everyone was very mindful of our neighbors fence, property, roof line and powerlines. Everyone had PPE on and were so incredibly safe when scaling the trees and hedges. Clean up was very thorough. Majority of our fronds and hedge were processed by the chipper and hauled. Our neighbor was so impressed with the crew he also hired them on the spot to take care of his street tree. It is impressive how much green waste we produced that day. Luckily the city picks up yard trimings on the street so his crew broke down anything else we had to sizeable chunks and neatly piled for SJ GreenWaste to pick up. I asked Ian Geddes Tree Care if they could "please come out and cut the split limb off" so it wouldn't drop on any cars parked in the lot. I had put out cones, signs and caution tape in the 2 parking spaces directly under the tree limbs and the cones were simply moved over and the parking spaces were still being used.... Ian Geddes Tree Care came out the very next morning and cut the split limb and trimmed the tree away from the car spaces. Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. I want to add to my previous review…read more After a couple of days observing the Jacaranda outside my office window, I realize that for the first time in years, the tree is perfectly balanced. No other arborist had either the expertise, or took the time to evenly distribute the pruning he was doing. When I look out my window, I see just tree alternating with sky. It's wonderful. I'll be contacting West Valley next time my tree needs trimming.
