The event was held by the fitting rooms in the back. There was plenty of food, fruity drinks, and of course bloggers mingling. During that event I got to look around the store (as the blogger challenge of the night) and style some outfits using pieces from Shimmer. I found an incredibly cute loose striped top that I ended up purchasing and a couple of other pieces such as black skinnies. If you like Forever 21 and other junior stores then you'll love Shimmer. It has a great variety of styles from quirky, girly, club wear, urban, classic, and even some semi-formal outfits. They also have a great selection of accessories and even shoes. All the stuff I've bought from Shimmer are all great quality and have lasted me really well. They also have a good selection of plus size clothes at this location. More recently I went to support two of my blogger friends when they hosted a styling event. Ladies, if you want to save more money go during one of these styling events. My blogger friends were handing out 10% off coupons and if you made a purchase of $50+ you would get a gift bag. Not too bad at all... So definitely be on the lookout for more events like that and don't be scared to ask for styling advice. Our local bloggers are very nice and often bilingual. Overall I've been really pleased not only with the store but also the clothes and the staff. The staff here are incredibly sweet to everyone. Definitely come by Shimmer next time you're at Plaza Bonita because they honestly have a great variety of affordable pieces for every type of girl.

Whenever that's the case, I like to check out Shimmer for a cute new piece to add to my collection. I hate it when co-workers or friends know exactly where I buy my clothes or recognize it from a store...it makes me feel so...predictable! Coming to Plaza Bonita & visiting stores like Shimmer help keep me feeling fresh & fun at all times. The variety is crazy. From conservative work dresses to an Emoji graphic print skirt to a Juliet style lace dress....you never know what you'll find or end up liking here! But- if you're looking for basic pieces, you might not find it here. Also, there isn't a great return/exchange policy and there are no refunds, so be careful of what you buy!

I went back to return them and the staff treated me like a THIEF. They refused the return and accused me of stealing them. Later, when I tried to buy socks for myself, an employee wrote words/codes on them and made me feel like I was being watched as a suspected shoplifter. She literally labeled them so other staff would be warned about me. Humiliating, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never shop here again. Avoid this store.

What initially caught my eye was the dresses in the window as I was shopping for a dress, it drew my attention. The cash register counter is in the middle of the store and the associate was friendly and answered all my questions. I did overhear other conversations with customers and informed that most of the sizes carried are only small to large (being the biggest) not sure if it was for particular dress as I did notice xlarge on some racks. They had a bunch of informal and formal dresses ranging from $20-$100+ from knee length to ankle length. As I had my heart set one item... I did not take much time to browse the other isle of clothes other than a quick breeze around the store and a mental note to check them out when I came back around. Unfortunately, the mall hours changed which means all the store hours had changed as well. Will definitely be back.

The line was long, but it went very quickly which means they were staffed. Well, I didn't get any sense of attitude.
