I tried to return 2 belts, boots, and a dress that I bought not even a week ago and the cashier (NATHALY who is apparently a manager that didn't even know the policy) was extremely rude. She told me that the only thing I could return was the boots since the dress was "dirty" (mind you i've never worn the dress!!) and my two belts were considered jewelry which apparently is final sale (I checked and no where in the jewelry section was a final sale sign and my receipt did not show final sale). On the plus side, I did call customer service and they were extremely helpful and said the cashier was WRONG and I could return the belts and the dress. I went to the Mission Valley location and all the employees there were very nice and assisted me. In the end the only thing I couldn't return was a necklace but I definitely had a better experience at another location. everything about this store needs improvement! Ive never shopped at windsor before and I went a day after valentines to go buy a dress for plans that I had and spent $50 on it, the main reason why I never shopped here was because of the prices, $50 for a dress with a badly sewn zipper is insane. they told me I had 14 days to return it and I came back today and attempted to return the dress. it was in perfect condition, had no stains or rips or anything and I had both the tag and the receipt so I thought maybe they could give me my money back since I was only TWO days later but the cashiers (who were all rude btw) told me they couldn't give me a refund bc of the policy. I thought that was so stupid most stores wait up until a month. anyways, they said I could exchange the dress for any clothing they had so I went ahead and got a really basic shirt that was almost $30. as soon as I get home and tried it on it ripped from the chest and the sleeve where my hand is and it wasn't even tight on me. 30 for the cheapest quality i've ever had was shocking. even SHEIN has better quality and prices. they also told me I had to take another item since the dress was 50 and I had spent 28 and I asked if they could take my email or phone # instead and save the money for later and the lady just said "no you have to get another item" that was it. didn't even bother to help me out in any way at all. the clothes here are pretty cute but I could get the same things at another store. Ive never once had clothes rip and It was shocking to have spent so much money on such low quality. I stopped by earlier and had asked one of the workers if they could kindly check any of their other locations if they have the size I needed. They said they don't call other Windsor locations, I told them that my regular store in El Cajon calls other locations when needed. She said they don't call other stores and to just check online. I tried my best to find the size I needed online and rushed to the Windsor in El Cajon. Great formal dress selection. We did not think that we would find our sizes here, as they normally have dress sizes for less curvy women. We were pleasantly surprised to find 5 in our size to try on. The price and fit of the perfect one won us over and we made the purchase. I am so happy that my teenage daughter and I decided to come here to check out the dress selection for her event tonight. So I went in today to this store with me lady, we found a really nice dress that she liked but decided to do some more hunting. So here is the review based on atmosphere, presentation, customer service and over all experience. First the store looks amazing, I like how they have the set up, with the more inexpensive stuff in front. This is also the area where the clubbing or Les formal styles are. The center has all your needs for strapless and jewelry. The back has all the formal styles. So in set up, I really enjoy it. The atmosphere feels nice, you are left to kind your business until (this is what I saw) my lady needed to try on some dresses. That's when one of the employees arrived and that was our only interaction the first time we went in. So you can loom around comfortably and no o e will be over you. The customer service in my personal opinion and as a previews Style guide for a custom made to measure store, as well as working like a sales associate for more than 6 years. They lack in the field. The second time we where looking for the dress, we couldn't find it. Non of the employees came to ask if we needed anything. They where in their own world. When I went to loom for one I asked if they had a style we had saw earlier. She said she would go look in the back, but she never did. Every time she was in the front doing I don't know what. She saw me a couple times and she just smiled and turned the other way. Like the service was terrible. The only interaction I got was when I asked her and at the register. Like not even a ounce of try to show your looking. They wherent that busy at that time. So if you with out knowing what you want, don't expect a lot of help. I've been to all the Windsor locations in San Diego but have never had an experience as I did with Monae. She was not only friendly but she went so above and beyond to help my daughter find a formal dress. She suggested dresses out of her comfort zone as well because Monae had personal experiences with the dresses. My daughter ended up buying something out of her comfort zone which she looks fabulous in! If it wasn't for Monae continually checking on us and asking how my daughter liked the dresses she probably would've chosen something else. Monae made our experience as if we had a personal shopper and hype woman. I've never had a shopping experience like this, let alone at any other Windsor. Horrid experience. Myself and my friend were browsing for clothes to wear to a concert and the entire time we were there, the staff were following customers around the store. If you removed an item from a rack for half a second just to look at it, they would ask "can we get a room started for you" and if you said no, they would be overly persistent to the point of annoyance about holding it at the register. It literally happened with every item anyone had. It was 5 items for me-that is ridiculous. I don't know if they've had excessive loss prevention issues in the past and they just don't trust their customers but I WILL NOT BE BACK. This is not how you manage a clothing store. I've been shopping here for several years since early years in college. I am taking 2 stars off for the reason of sizing being not for every shape other than smaller sized people and and a star off for bad policy for returns. Let me say right off the bat, the customer service is not horrible I actually appreciate the ladies who work at this store they are quite friendly and helpful. It is not there fault that the company itself has many flaws so this review is in regards to the company overall. First off I am not happy with the sizing of this store it is not versatile for actual real life women who have some junk in the trunk and cellulite. This store is geared more towards high schoolers sizing and younger ages like about 17-21 years of age I'd say. And this is not because I do not like the clothes at my age it's because the sizing is soooo small fitting even size large and I am a woman now. Thus, I no longer shop here it's not versatile for me as I get older and for people that are larger in size. If the clothes were larger and versatile for different shapes I would stay a customer at this store and recommend it but obviously not the case. Second, Windsor's policy requires you to return items within 14 days of it being shipped and usually that takes a couple days in itself to get to you depending on when you order. I am the type that keep the stuff for a week try it on move around see if it fits and if I get around to it by the next week to return it that's quick for me. I do not have the time to go to the mall usually with one week only that is the whole reason I online shop. Return time is too short and inconvenient for customers do not like that at all, thus I gave up on this store recently because I do not have the time to deal with it. read more

I recently shopped at Windsor to look for a formal gown for my one year anniversary. I've been having a hard time finding a floor length blue gown and have been driving all over town looking for one. I called the store before I went to make sure they had a few options for me and they said they had many blue gowns. When I came in I wasn't disappointed. I tried on about five blue dresses, all of which beautiful, and finally found the perfect one. The young lady helping me at the dressing rooms (I didn't catch her name) was extremely helpful, pulled a few dresses for me and gave me input on the dresses. The dress I fell in love with had a few snags, to be expected from people trying them on, so I asked the manager Keyana if she could double check if she had another one just in case. She didn't which wasn't a deal breaker for me, the snags were very minor, and I appreciated her taking the time to look (it was pretty busy in the store). She then helped me find a perfect pair of shoes to tie it all together. I will definitely come back for future events I need to buy dresses for, overall very happy with my experience and Keyana was extremely helpful and sweet. They are perfect for the occasions I am going to in the next few weeks, which is why the store gets 2 stars one for each dress I found! Brian is fantastic! I believe the store was super swamped because of homecoming season, but he killed the game! Very attentive and quick to help out, getting people in and out of the changing rooms with great customer service. I live closer to Mission Valley, but I have to come to Plaza Bonita now for cute, quality dresses after that location closed. I'm happy to know that this store is in good hands. Hands down would 10/10 rather shop at Windsor than Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe for dresses. Windsor dresses are so sexy and flattering! The bodycon ones are so silky and definitely cinch you well. Worst Customer Service Ever. I've worked in retail for 4 years and the atmosphere of this store is very toxic. The moment I stepped in no one greeted me nor acknowledged my existence. They watch you like hawks if you are trying on clothes, and it seems that they assume you're already stealing (which is very uncomfortable) and I've only been to this store twice because my friend works there but man I will never come back. When I came to the check out, the (Mexican long haired ) employee didn't even acknowledge me. Just took my clothes and told me the total. Didn't smile. Didn't even glance at me. I accidentally knocked something down, and I apologized for it. And her little co worker (blonde/brown wavy hair laughed at my face. Super rude. If any of these people are considered "managers," is such a tragedy to give a position to someone not worthy of the position. Never ever ever coming back again. My girlfriend and I were looking for a dress for her to wear to her daughters graduation. We'd basically been to almost all the different shops in Plaza Bonita mall...and had almost zero luck. So when we got to Windsor, I know I wasn't really expecting much. We both had started looking around, when salesperson Brian politely asked us if we needed any help. I think we both said we're just looking, and he said ok. We went on our way looking around more, and he moved on to help others and do some straightening up... ...about 5 minutes later he popped by and asked me if we were looking for anything in particular? I explained yes, we were looking for a dress for my girlfriend's daughters' graduation? He asked a few other questions about colors she likes, style, etc... I brought my girlfriend into the conversation...and she took to his friendliness and personality right away... ...long story short, Brian helped us find maybe 5 different dresses for her to try (way more than we found anywhere else). She decided on ONE that was great on her! Brian then helped her find a necklace, earrings and bracelet to match. Now we're all set, which is a huge worry off my girlfriend's mind...which means it's a worry off my mind :) :) We really appreciate all the extra effort that Brian took to help us out. Pros: (1) I'd say Brian is very engaging and caring about trying to find what people really want, colors that work with their skin, eyes, etc...and really has a good way with people...making them feel comfortable...as I saw it with other customers too... (2) AND, Windsor as a store has prices that are very fair, selection is nice there, and it just has a nice vibe in this store. You sense people working there seem happy to be working, and seem eager to help customers...which you don't see unfortunately at so many other stores. I'd recommend at least checking it out if you're a girl/woman looking for something nice to wear for a special occasion. Cons: none read more

Terrible. God awful customer service from ALL the sales associates there yesterday. I will NOT ever recommend their store to anyone, at least not this location. I work for one of the top employers in San Diego, and they are all about great customer service-We are all about it. What I witnessed my best friend and god daughter experience at this location yesterday was downright appalling and maddening, enough to piss me off to write this review. I was on a good one with my reviews giving places 4 and 5 star reviews. I was hoping to save my 100th review for something spectacular and raving about the goodness of a business but NOT TODAY BOO BOO. Look, I get it. Homecoming is around the corner. It's hell in that store. There's a line to try on dresses and everyone is running around with their head cuts off. I feel you, that's how I feel at work when flu season is around. You get overwhelmed. I GET IT. But what I don't seem to understand is why would you BUMRUSH a 15 year old who waited PATIENTLY in the same damn line that everyone else waited in, to hurry up. They were not in the dressing room more than 10 minutes. She had 4 dresses. 4 damn dresses. Everyone else? 8 plus dresses-one lady I saw going in there had about 15 dresses and some women were there trying on shoes in the dressing room. Not one word was said to anyone else. But you singled out my goddaughter to rush her? Why would you rush a sale? Aren't you supposed to treat each customer like they're important and give them great service each time? What my goddaughter received was PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was the one who told my best friend to get the district manager's name and yes, they will hear from us because I am absolutely appalled. I get it, the store is not Bloomingdales or Saks 5th-but you don't treat customers like shit because YOU ARE OVERWHELMED. Your staff's audacity to single out a 15 year old girl who had 4 dresses to try on for homecoming was appalling. Your lack of customer service and for providing such a crappy service to a paying customer? ABYSMAL. This rating is solely because of my experience with Brionne. She was amazing! Upon entering the store she was friendly and professional. She helped me look for a dress for my engagement photos coming up. She recommended dresses to match my skin tone and I felt so taken care of. She remembered my name the entire visit and always used it while speaking to me. Brionne made me feel as if I was the only person in the store even though she was attending to so many other customers. They like to check up on you ever so often, which I have no problem with because they also like to compliment you and give fashion pointers. Brian saved the day! I was looking for the perfect gown for a wedding in France. My husband and I had combed through at least 5 other stores and found nothing. We were tired and frustrated by the time we walked into Windsor, and my husband just approached Brian for help in picking a dress. Brian asked me about the occasion and my personal preferences. He also knows how to boost a woman's self-esteem like no other. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious. Ultimately, I settled on a beautiful gown Brian picked for me that I would never have picked for myself. He also set me up with some jewelry that complimented the dress well. I'm so happy with my gown and can't wait to wear it in France next week. This store has the worst costumer service. They don't have any real sense of priority. The system they have for fitting rooms is disastrous. Specifically, Brianna, asked my friend if she would like them to hold her dress at the front for her, my friend agreed. We came to the front, the three girls standing at the registers were talking and did not acknowledge us until we asked them to help us. Brianna forgot about my friend altogether and had put the dress back rather than holding it at the front. She then proceeded to talk to one of the other girls and we had to ask if she was ringing or not. Her response was a straight no. This establishment doesn't even hold items on the weekends.
