I walked in and had to pick up my son. My goal was to buy cough syrup. I have been having a nagging cough and didn't see Chestal. For some reason, when I arrived, the credit card machine takes a few minutes to load, so maybe if you are in a rush, this is not the place to grab items and leave quickly. Also, the gentleman behind the counter was brusque and not as warm as the other staff member offering to help me. I noticed the 8 oz NyQuil was on sale for $7.49, and the 12 oz DayQuil was $11.85, so this seemed like a fair deal. read more

Amazing pharmacy! I use to going to Duane Reade or Walgreens but I'm glad I switched over to Viva. I received a courtesy call from the pharmacist telling me they received my prescription and asked if I had any questions. When I picked up my prescription later that day, they were super friendly and courteous. I found that their organic milk was $1 cheaper than the supermarket and they were also able to recommend an over the counter medicine for my daughter's congestion by listening to her cough and not just recommending any medicine they had in the store. Rude, deceptive and obfuscating. As a local pharmacy I'm confident it has a critical mass of longtime customers that help sustain its business, but that sense of security seems to have lulled this establishment's sense of transparency, integrity and collegiality. This pharmacy is dishonest enough to tell a prescriber (doctor) that it carries medications when really it does not. My doctor's office called to confirm availability an hour before I was to pickup my medicine and the pharmacy confirmed it had supplies in stock. However when I driving on my way to pick up my medicine I called to check if my prescription was ready and they said it was not and that they would not be able to fill my prescription for another two to three weeks. When I confronted the pharmacist with what he told me doctors and what he was now telling me the pharmacist had no good response, was rude and ushered me off the phone. What a difficult situation this pharmacy has put me in. Clearly a longtime establishment with a set of principles that have gone downhill over time, jeopardizing the health and wellness of its patients. I will be taking my medical concerns elsewhere and I encourage anyone that values their health (and an honest pharmacist) to follow suit. read more

I can't say enough great things about the wonderful staff here! Consistently go out of their way to make sure that you're well taken care of, that you receive your prescriptions, and get a flu shot! A few examples: - Went above and beyond to deliver my prescription to me when I couldn't pick it up (free service!) - Called to remind me I was eligible for a free flu shot (remembering I had mentioned I wanted to get one the last time I came into the pharmacy) - Had flu shot ready and waiting for me when I came to get it - Let me pick up my prescription before the pharmacy officially opened (I came about 10 mins before the opening time) - Give thoughtful, knowledgeable advice - Are always incredibly friendly - welcome you with a smile, and remember who you are! This is the best pharmacy I've ever been to - hands down. The customer service and overall attention and care paid to every person that walks in is simply outstanding. They answer every question, go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need, and remember you whenever you come in. The pharmacists are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and kind. They know my name and they know my family, and regularly inquire after our health. If I come in for cough medicine, the next time they see me they ask "How's the cough? Are you feeling better? How can we help?" Once, I went to fill a prescription that was very, very expensive and the pharmacist spent 20 mins researching cheaper alternatives that would be just as effective. (718)450-9696 This was one of my greatest experience with a pharmacy, no wait and friendly helpful service(ten minutes in and out). Viva Pharmacy of Jackson Heights on Northern Blvd. is a Family owned business and that one on one helpful experience. The Pharmacist(Michelle) checked me in as first time customer and then filled the three prescriptions herself. The Pharmacist(Owner) then explained every script in detail and how to take the medicine which was extremely helpful. Everyone from the front counter to pharmacy department in rear of store was friendly and helpful which makes these Family Owned Pharmacies a rare experience/hard to find. I had found an Urgent Care Doctor Facility next door to Viva Pharmacy who were excellent and I asked for a good Pharmacy and in return they even emailed the script to Viva Pharmacy. The two locations are highly recommended by me who frequently sees doctors and has numerous prescriptions with a chain Pharmacy which isn't as helpful as Viva Pharmacy. Looking forward to transferring my medications from chain pharmacy to Viva Pharmacy of Jackson Heights NY 11372. GREAT COMMUNITY PHARMACY! I can't stress enough how amazing this pharmacy is! VIVA pharmacy is right around the corner of my house, whenever I need something that's the place to go. I love how friendly and professional the employees are, they're always willing to help with any issues or questions I may have. If they don't have something I need in stock they order it right away!
