The environment here is just really welcoming overall. The staff, instructors, and owners are all incredibly friendly and supportive. I recently joined their dance training team and I've genuinely been learning so much while also having an amazing time. The training pushes you to improve but still keeps things fun and motivating. One really cool thing about Ruts is that K-pop idols and industry dancers occasionally stop by the studio, which says a lot about how respected and well-known the studio is in the community. Also, if you've never taken a dance class before, don't be intimidated at all. The studio is definitely beginner friendly and the instructors do a great job creating an encouraging atmosphere for all levels. Whether you're trying to seriously improve or just dance for fun, this is a great place to be.

From the aesthetic to the instructors to the students themselves, this place has a welcoming atmosphere to all dance levels and I feel comfortable to explore dancing with all the different styles of dance they offer. Their social media presence is also great! They are constantly updating their social media (Instagram) with up to date info on each week's/day's classes such as the instructor or the song/combo they'll be teaching. The linked website is also relatively easy to use and it's pretty simple to register for classes. I mainly come for the Hip-Hop and Kpop classes they offer and I enjoy them a lot! Coming into the studio, they check you in and have you wait in the comfy waiting area before the class starts. The dance studio itself is pretty roomy and there's long mirrors up front. They also offer other dance studio spots at the property that you can rent out for private rehearsal or 1:1's. For rates it's usually $20-$25 for a 1 hour 30 min class depending on the instructor and what they're teaching. The classes usually take place from 6pm - 10:30pm (3 classes a night) during the week and another 3 classes from afternoon to night on Saturday's. For parking, it's street parking but I'd say it's relatively easy to find a spot nearby. If you're in LA, I'd definitely recommend hitting this place up for a class or 2!

We dance across multiple groups--I used to train in the same class with one of my daughters, my oldest daughter is currently in another group, and my younger one attends every Sunday. We buy a lot of classes here. We were actually planning to buy even more, despite the fact that their system is completely inflexible: there are no memberships, no discounts, and the classes are quite expensive. We stayed because we truly love the instructors and the overall dance level.However, the way they treat parents is absolutely unacceptable. I am beyond frustrated by the fact that I am not allowed to use the restroom while waiting for my child. They have a restroom accessible from the courtyard. I can understand that they don't provide parking spaces for waiting parents, but not letting a parent use the restroom during a 1.5 to 2-hour wait is beyond comprehension.This is the second time I have been practically kicked out of the restroom, treated with such a look as if I were a homeless person off the street. As a paying customer, I find this incredibly rude, humiliating, and disrespectful. This is an absolute failure in customer service.I work as a professional film actress and model, so I have extensive experience visiting high-end studios and various locations worldwide. In most reputable places, parents are welcomed inside; they are provided with a waiting area, Wi-Fi, water, or at least a place to sit. At Playground LA, you aren't even allowed basic human dignity like using the bathroom. For a studio of this caliber, this level of service is wild and completely unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed.

We have done summer camps and my children loved it. The performances are both adorable and well done. It's just a great place all around. Very highly recommend RFTB, especially for shy kids who aren't sure about performing in front of an audience but love to dance.

It is beyond disappointing because the teachers are great but their policies are awful and they…read moreseem to change person to person. I was on a waitlist once so i just showed up to the class hoping i could get in. After the class had started they let late people in who were over 5 minutes late and I wasn't able to take the class, which is fair enough...However I then had booked a class, couldnt find parking and was 2 minutes late for the class (their is a 5 minute grace period) I was told I couldnt take the class because they gave it to someone on the waitlist. But when I was the waitlist, the same did not occur. Then today I went to take my 9:15 class. I guess I had a $15 fee for missing a class, (My kid had been sick and they have a 12 hour cancellation policy) I keep a limited credit card on file there as one time I got a fraudulent charge for $125 from a meter outside their facility. So I offered to pay with Apple pay (which they take) But I was told they cant take the apple pay and I would need to go home and get my waller otherwise I couldnt take the class, I had already paid for. If I went home, I would have missed half the class. The gentlemen also said to me " We need a card on file. I explained that I can pay the card down when I get home and he said and I quote " This can't keep happening, this is how we run our business" But this had never happened before, I have had fees in the past, and they have always been paid. Its a shame as I mentioned because some of the teachers are awesome but theier rules are inconsistent at best and the delivery is rude and untruthful. I have had many memberships over the years and never have i had such inconsistent policies. I wont be going back again which is a shame.
