I had the pleasure of undergoing vein procedures with Dr. Lori Greenwald, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Dr. Greenwald is exceptionally knowledgeable and truly the best in the business. From the moment you walk in the door, the staff greets you warmly and pampers you throughout the entire process. The spa-like finishing touches are both comforting and elegant, making the experience truly special. A year later my veins show a little difference. Dr. Greenwald certainly used any insurance available although I had no problem with non cosmetic issues. The worst part of this surgical experience was that Dr. Greenwald brings up her very biased political opinions while I was under the needle. My friend had the same experience. At a follow up I attempted to explain to Lori Greenwald that I was unhappy with the lack of professionalism and what I understood was corner cutting measures on her part. She became unnecessarily verbally aggressive and then tried pulling back on that to pacify me with reassurances that the results were good (they weren't). I didnt bother going back for any further follow ups, her demeanor was that of someone who has no defence so they just try to manipulate you into shutting up and going away. After years of going to a different doctor for Botox, I relocated and started going to Vivesse Med Spa in January 2021. Dr. Greenwald was able to give me perfect results without even knowing the number of CCs I had been getting before, (because I didn't know, nor did I call the other place to find out). I had not been happy with the results I was getting from my previous provider, but kept going back for years because she was the only provider in my former area. I am so happy with Dr. Greenwald's treatment because she 'gets it'. She takes the time to listen to the results I want and makes it happen. I wouldn't take the time to write a review unless I was super impressed. I would give Vivesse 0 stars if I could. I was doing hair removal treatment for over 1 year and they were rescheduling me so much and stretching out my treatments sometimes almost 3 months apart that my final results were horrible so I had to continue some place else for additional treatments. I waisted thousands of $$$ with them and my valuable time. Sometimes they would even call me the same day when I had appointment to reschedule, so unprofessional. Don't waist your money and go somewhere else. I feel sick in my stomach when I even think of this place. And they " laser " machine it wasn't even laser, it was treatment with lights. I feel fortunate to be a patient in Dr. Greenwald's practice. I had varicose veins addressed in both legs by ablation with success. The doctor and the entire office staff is very warm, caring, generous and skilled. They make sure you are informed and comfortable before going ahead with any step in a procedure. I am now using hydra facials in caring for my older skin. They feel wonderful and I can see improvement in softer, more even toned skin. I had a very unpleasant experience.. yes I was about 5 minutes late because there's no sign outside this facility so its not easy to find. I walked in and I was told that my appointment was at 3:00 I proceeded to tell her that my appointment was at 3:10 and she kept saying NO it was at 3:00 kept arguing with me and told me that I was not going to be seeing.. I waited a long time for this appointment and drove an hour to get there!! Poor customer service!! I will never go there again!! read more

2 weeks ago I waited for 45 minutes only to leave without getting Botox; the APRN was running late. My appointment was rescheduled and I told to return for the May 9, 2018 open house. I simply had to attend to receive a 30% discount on future services. At the open house on May 9, 2018, Dr. Greenwald walked up to me, stood too close to me for my personal comfort, and demanded to know what I was doing there, where I was going and if I was a patient there. I told Dr. Greenwald I was there for the open house, was an existing client & wanted to prepay for my next treatment of either Botox or Dysport. She asked me which product I wanted - Botox or Dysport? I said it depends; I like the results o get from both. She demanded to know the # of units I usually get injected (of either Botox or Dysport). When I told her I did not know, she said, "you mean to tell me that you have been here before and do not know the number of units you get? I need to see your file." She then walked away and started mingling with the other guests. I left the open house without my 30% discount after my interaction with Dr. Greenwald. I was humiliated and disgusted by her rudeness and lack of customer appreciation. I had been a patient for years, referred several people to her practice and spent thousands of dollars on aesthetic treatments and products over my years as her client. I went back Vivesse on May 18, 2018. I wanted to use the $50 gift certificate sent to me for a recent client referral. After discussing my experience with the staff and asking to speak directly to the doctor I had to wait. And wait. And wait to see her. In fact, Dr. Greenwald had me wait an excessive amount of time before she saw me, which was so inconsiderate on top of her customer service and rudeness. Unbelievable! She could have and should hAve handled my situation reasonably, not add fuel to the fire. After talking around the subject with regard to her stress level, being short staffed on the day of the open house, building up her 40 year practice as a vascular surgeon, and her brief bad moment with me she apologized. I give her credit for the apology, but I will no longer bring my business to Dr. Greenwald. I am a reasonable person. I do not believe that customers should be treated with disrespect and rudeness. Dr. Greenwald lashed out at me for one brief interaction and that was enough for me to cut my ties with Vivesse. Her practice is not the only Medspa game (there is a plastic surgeon's office right below hers!?!) A big shout out goes to Danielle at Vivesse. I had a nice relationship with her and will miss her. She is a wonderful, super professional and skilled APRN who became like a friend while I was a client at Vivesse. Mandy at the front desk is also super sweet. read more

This place is all about the money...nothing else! The staff is rude & condescending. And, "Dr." Greenwald is uncaring, non-responsive, and ambivalent about client satisfaction at any level. I attended an OPEN HOUSE after having been a patient for five years. I am bi-coastal, so I am not on the east coast year-round: thus my interaction with "Dr." Greenwald has been somewhat sporatic. Last November, I booked an appt. for injections to minimize my 'straw lines' on my upper lip. I took advantage of the OPEN HOUSE discount offered ONLY on Open House Day, and booked my appt. well in advance. On my appt. day,I waited 50 minutes past my booking time to be seen...with no apology for the wait time. I had a list of questions I addressed prior to getting the injections, and it seemed as though I was taking up 'valuable' time with my inqueries. I reviewed what results I could expect, what the timelines were for results, and follow-up procedures should they be necessary. Knowing that no procedure is a panacea, I left feeling positive. THAT was a HUGE mistake! After 2 months, I noticed no difference after spending thousands of dollars and being assured by "Dr." Greenwald herself that her office stood behind its work. I phoned for an appt. to gauge results and discuss possible next steps. Mine was the 1st appt. of the day, and it was a torrential downpour on my appt. day. Again, I waited nearly an hour with no apology for the wait. After an examination of the treated area..which took 5 minutes...I was told, "You need more injections which will, of course, be at your expense." I asked if I could make an appt. to speak to the doctor - by phone or in person - and I was told she "doesn't get involved post-procedure." I wrote to "Dr." Greenwald directly via snail mail (I was told she is NOT on email) and never got a response. Nor did I get a phone call appt. Later, I learned she bad-mouthed me DIRECTLY..using my name! - with both her staff AND with her clients! I know this to be a fact, because her clients are FRIENDS of mine, and they TOLD me! They have since severed their business relationships with her for that reason. I am a good & trusting person. I am a professional woman also, and I STAND BEHIND MY WORK! If a client is unhappy, I WORK with that client to achieve a mutually satisfactory outcome. You will NOT get that with "Dr." Greenwald or with "VANISHING VEINS!" FAIR WARNING!!!! read more

My name is Cheri and I am 49 years old. I am a hcg Clean Start Weight Loss program patient. At the start of the hcg program, I had 180 lbs to LOSE. I tried everything you can imagine it seems, from Slimfast, Medifast, Atkins, Weight Watchers, some very risky crash ideas I found on the internet.....you name it. Not that there is anything wrong with the named programs I mentioned, but they just didn't work for me personally. One day I saw Dr. Greenwald on Better Connecticut demonstrating the Emsculpt machine - one of the body contouring machines offered at Vivesse. I called and made an appointment for a consultation and went to the office a few days later. While at my appointment, they suggested the hcg Clean Start program. I was like, OK, I know what hcg is, but what is the hcg WEIGHT LOSS program? I had only ever heard of it from one person in passing about 8 years ago, but I never really bothered to find out the details. Due to the large mass of weight I needed to lose, I would need to start on a regime before I would be able to do any of the contouring machines. The consultant spent over an hour with me, answering questions and talking about my medical history. Dr. Greenwald came into the room to talk with me and mentioned she would need to see all of my medical records to ensure I was healthy enough for the program. The next appointment, Dr. Greenwald took my case personally and we set my start date. On day 1, I saw APRN Amande Scranton and PA Katie roach. They explained the plan in great detail, went over the materials, explained the dosage, took detailed measurements, weight, vitals, pictures, gave me the hormone shots to take home......the whole nine......and sent me on my way. Hcg is split up into 43 day rounds, with a period of maintenance in between each round. I see Amanda, Katie or Danielle once a week for weigh-ins, B-12 energy shots and overall support during maintenance at this point in time. I have since completed 2 rounds - 86 days in total and have lost over 70 lbs! I am currently on maintenance gearing up for my 3rd round starting March 8th. With 110 lbs left to go, I am almost at the midway mark. Everyone reading this post, you see REMARKABLE results and you see results FAST. If you follow it to the letter, you will be as successful as I have been. My husband and I couldn't be happier! I encourage anyone to come on this journey with me to health and fitness and I promise.....YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Just a side note: I read all the previous reviews and I have to say I am a little confused since it doesn't sound like the same place. I have nothing, but great things to say about Dr. Greenwald, Dr. Stein, Vivesse and all the staff I have encountered with the slight exception of one. I did have to mention the warmth and overall phone etiquette of one of the receptionists while she was still in training (nerves will do a number on someone!). When I did mention it to management at the time, they apologized and said they would deal with the small issue with more training. That was completely acceptable to me since it wasn't a bad issue by any means......just a bit of "chilliness" on the phone. As I mentioned, everyone else has been fabulous! I had a very unpleasant experience at Vivesse Laser Skincare Center and would not recommend this business to anyone. The receptionist was very rude and provided poor customer service. The aesthetician performing the microdermabrasion was very nice and provided a good treatment but the experience as whole was very disappointing. I don't understand why the receptionist thought it was okay to talk in such a rude, condescending way to a customer. read more
