One night in New Haven, I wasn't feeling well and wanted just jot tea. I ordered a hot Jasmine Tea, no bubbles. It was my first time not ordering a bubble tea and for a late night quick order, the staff member did it quickly. I even asked for another extra cup of hot water, I appreciated he gave it to me too. My first time in this Vivi Bubble Tea location. We walked to this location since our hotel was nearby. Parking is metered along the street, all payments accepted. Thank you!

This was my first time here!! I have tried to go here a couple of times in New Haven but it was so busy. I was so excited no one was there when I went. The staff was so nice and was excited that I was excited. He also clapped and called me a professional when I turned on w blogging light!! It was so nice! The boba and poke bowl were delicious!! There were so many to go orders when I was there too. Popular place !!

I appreciate the covid procedures they have in place! I can tell they take it seriously. I went in one night and it was not packed at all. The cashier was very helpful in explaining the menu and making suggestions and I needed up getting the Oreo Creme Brulee Milk Tea. It was delicious! Definitely need to shake before sticking the straw in to get maximum flavor! And Oreo tastes great in anything really but I thought it was really good with milk tea. There boba is also very good. It's soft but not too soft and perfectly chewy. I would recommend this place if you are looking for good milk tea!

Very cool hip & trendy place. Patient friendly staff. I'm fairly new to the bubble tea realm so I don't have my go to order yet. The guy at the counter helped walk me through all of the options. With milk. With powder instead for lactose intolerance. Many many options to choose from. Going to possibly be a regular here to go through the menu. Prices are in line with other places I've seen. Very clean place. Looking forward to coming back for sure.

This spot is for sure a staple in New Haven! The menu, service, and flavor is 100% worth it. They have a wide variety from authentic drinks to deserts. I'm never disappointed with my choice of bubble tea for each visit. I'm so happy of all the business they've received because we need more places like this! The sit down area has been reduced recently, I assume due to the pandemic. So, I'd recommend picking up from this spot rather than enjoying it inside! Before the pandemic, the atmosphere for seating was very modern and trendy! So sad we don't have more bubble/boboa tea spots in the area :(

My very first boba experience was so great. I loved my taro milk tea! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I will remember not to get tapioca next time though because I didn't like getting the tapioca with every sip I took. I will be returning to try others!

I come here pretty often and am usually pleased with their boba. This time they served me milk instead of milk tea but the flaming brown sugar milk is still really tasty. I got it with 50% sugar, it could do with 25% sugar for the milk, but I bet the milk tea would be perfect! It's a good place to stop by for boba and cldrinjs in general.

Flaming Brown Sugar Milk Tea at 50% less sugar with boba. It tatsed just like plain whole milk, but slightly sweeter.

The first time I came here I got the oolong milk tea with boba for myself and Thai tea for my husband. My oolong milk tea was watery, almost tasteless. The boba was hard and not sweet. The Thai tea was so bitter, my husband said it was nearly not worth drinking. I had also gotten a mango ice cream macaron. The macaron cookie was suppose to be dyed orange but it looked brown because the cookie had been so overbaked, it was nearly burnt. The ice cream sorbet part was ok. Just sweet with artificial mango flavor. I just gave ViVi Tea another visit to see if it would be better this round. I paid $5.25 for a medium flaming brown sugar milk with boba. I had asked for 50% less sugar and I guess that was the only thing giving the drink flavor because it tasted like lightly sweetened milk. If someone had poured this milk into my cereal bowl, I don't even know if I would have noticed that it's not plain milk. The boba this time was chewy and sweet--the only redeeming part of this drink. Over priced and terrible drinks. I will go back to making my own milk tea with fresh steeped tea and fresh cooked boba. Better to spend time making it myself than trying to treat myself by buying a drink from the restaurant and having it be worse than a drink I botch at home. My other complaint is the shop smells stale and slightly like body odor inside by the tables. First time I came here, the wait was very long for the drinks and the the customer service was subpar (it seemed like they don't like working there). This time, the customer service was just average (no smile but at least speedy). You can try this place once for yourself and you will see what I mean.

It wasn't a bad place. A medium milk bubble tea is pretty cheap - especially with the shop being in the middle of New Haven where a bunch of college kids roam around. There isn't much of a seating area - there's some small two person tables lined up on the side and then theres a few tables in a back; cute little lounge area too. Overall, the place is simple, cutely decorated, and cheap. Love that like most milk tea places, it allows for customers to customize their drinks (i.e. ice amount, bubbles/no bubbles, many types of tea, different cup sizes, sugar amount, etc.).

In NYC, Vivi is my go to place for bubble tea. Happy to see that they opened in New Haven. Tapioca pearls were a bit harder than the one in NYC. I am assuming its because they are not able to serve fresh tapioca pearls due to lower sales volume. Oreo creme brulee flavor was fine. Flaming brown sugar was not that great. Next time I will be trying some other flavors.

Late July is peach season, and the sweet aroma of peaches blends beautifully with the natural richness of milk. The first taste is the sweet and sour peach, with fruit pieces bursting like popping boba, followed by a rich and mellow fruity aroma that instantly transports you to an orchard. All of this is built on a rich and natural milk base. Butter Pecan: A spontaneous choice. Overall, it's slightly salty within the milky flavor, with pecan nuts as a topping, making it a rather full-bodied one. Fortunately, it's not too sweet, so it's not cloying, and the slight saltiness adds a nice touch. I thought it was just okay, but my parents loved it. Sweet Cream Chocolate Chip: Apparently their signature flavor. The sweet cream wasn't actually too sweet, but the cream was very rich and fragrant; the real sweetness came from the chocolate chips, which burst in your mouth with every chew, and even just a sample was slightly cloying. The staff were very friendly, proactively offering recommendations and samples. Taking a break with ice cream while strolling around campus and the art gallery is definitely a great experience.

According to their story, it's all naturally produced from the milk of their 300 cows housed at Arethusa Farm in Litchfield, CT. The menu is packed with delicious and interesting flavors, and taste-testing is gladly allowed. My daughter got a cup of the mint chip, while I opted for a waffle cone with sweet cream and chocolate. Both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance is that of an upscale ice cream spot. The interior features a bright, clean, and welcoming black-and-white design, with framed photos of their farm cows lining the walls. There is no traditional table seating inside--just two benches and some standing room--so it is mostly an order-to-go setup. It is also conveniently located right around the corner from the Yale University campus, making it a perfect treat to enjoy while walking. The service can be a little on the slow side, but that's likely because they graciously let everyone sample flavors. The employees are incredibly friendly, engaging, and informative about the shop's most popular scoops. An absolute must-visit in New Haven.

The location originally opened as a Carvel ice cream shoppe in 1957, before being rebranded as "Bill's Carousel" two years later. Since 2008, the establishment has been owned by E.J. Akdeniz, who purchased it from Bill's widow. Akdeniz has no idea what the "carousel" in the ice cream parlor's name refers to, but after talking ownership he put a vintage carousel horse on display next to the order window. He acquired the horse in New Jersey after an old carousel had been dismantled. The biggest seller at Bill's is their soft serve ice cream (24 flavors to be exact), but the menu also features hard ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes & floats, frozen yogurt, Italian ice, slushies, smoothies, flurries, ice cream cakes, and even hot foods like hot dogs, hamburgers and fries. My family and I recently stopped for ice cream at Bill's Carousel while we were passing through New Haven's Westville neighborhood. My wife lived in an apartment in Westville when we first began dating. We used to make walks down to Bill's often to enjoy their delicious ice cream. Bill's was a seasonal ice cream parlor for several years, but it is now open year-round. On this particular visit, we parked in the lot and ordered from the order window. We all ended up getting cups of hard ice cream. I had "Pumpkin", my wife had "Peach", my older son had "Cotton Candy", and my younger son had "Vanilla". Regardless of what type of frozen treat (or even hot treat) that you order at Bill's, you won't be disappointed.

The menu isn't very clear as per my picture with the pricing because what justifies as a small, medium, large, XL? I asked for 2 scoops, which wasn't very big hence the cup in the picture I posted. My husband ordered the fried dough with ice cream on top and a bottled water. Those 3 items came to $25 like WTF?! The sundae was a joke. Small scoops and they charged $1 for the almonds. What sundae does not automatically come with nuts? The fried dough is huge and it was put in a styrofoam container with cheap, flimsy plastic utensils making it very hard to cut through the dough. The knife was so flimsy that forcing through the dough caused holes in the styrofoam. I will never come to this establishment again. Tips for management: Upgrade your take out boxes and flimsy utensils to something sturdier. Sam's Club is a great choice for that. Be clear in your sundae menu how you justify your pricing for the different sizes because I shouldn't be charged for an XL when my ice cream servings were tiny and to make it worse, you charge $1 extra for nuts that should automatically be part of the sundae menu. Clean your outside tables so it isn't sticky if you want people to sit there.

I had maybe a 5-6 minute wait in line and that was more than okay with me, you can't get mad at a place for being successful. Although this place doesn't have an insane selection of soft serve flavours, they do have a solid amount of sundae options, but I was here to try that vanilla and chocolate twist cone. I'm a simple man who loves a simple soft serve and this place didn't let me down. The ice cream was very creamy, had great flavour, and truly hit the spot for soft serve ice cream.
