The salon owner, Debbie, is an artist. I asked her for face framing highlights that weren't too yellow or too overdone. She nailed it. The staff is really friendly, the salon is very clean and inviting. I highly recommend. read more

Oh. My. Goodness. I don't think I can rave enough about how amazing my haircut came out! I have also been getting an overwhelming amount of compliments too. I haven't had my hair this short in over 20 years and I am blown away with how wonderful the cut is. I was recommended by a good friend to come here and see Jill. You have to come see Jill too. So nice, super personable and clearly is great at her job. I mean, check out the before/after pic I've attached, but I came in here with rather long hair, very visible roots, decently dark brown hair that flows towards a mish mosh of bleached blonde and faded pink on the ends. The ends were so dead and splitting that it was starting to get difficult just simply brushing my hair. It got to the point that I just would put my hair up every day because it took either too long to tame or just always got in the way. I was in the mood for a drastic haircut, so all in all, I think we cut like a solid 6 inches off (more in some layered spots) and colored it all one color. I was in and out of the salon in the perfect length of time. Jill went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable at all times (as in, what we were doing to my hair along with if I needed anything during the process). You know when you sometimes go somewhere to get your hair colored and you leave the place with a harsh amount of product still staining on your hair line, ears, etc? Well, Jill made sure that before I exited, there wasn't a drop anywhere but on my hair. I was absolutely be back, and honestly, in the future, Jill is the only one who can touch my hair. read more

She has hosted a benefit for Melanoma Research to help with prevention and detection! What a philanthropic woman and business owner. Nicole, the manager, is so professional, helpful, and has been coloring and cutting my hair for over a decade! I wouldn't trust my treasured-hair with any other stylist! From prom to wedding, she has never disappointed me nor my family!! I love coming here, and would recommend their services to any man, woman, or child looking to have a high quality cut, color, or makeup service (all of which I have purchased here!). I got my first keratin treatment yesterday at Vivid Salon in Madison, CT. It is absolutely life changing. I have coarse, frizzy thick thick hair that looks like a witch's in this nasty weather. My hair is totally transformed. It s silky, smooth, straight...I can t even describe how beautiful it is now. I can t stop looking in the mirror - that s how unbelievable this treatment is. I visited Walter two weeks ago for a single process coloring. The experience was unpleasant. His communication was poor and lacking information in what he proposed to do. He would check on me as the smoke from his cigarette wafted over me. Then, Walter audaciously charged $225.00 - an exorbitant amount for the work. My complaints were met with indifference. read more

With my hairstylist moving to Florida with her family, I was found looking for a new salon to go to. On the recommendation of a friend, I went to Vivid. I'm very particular about who cuts and styles my hair. But after getting a cut, lowlights and highlights done at Vivid, I'll never go anywhere else. The price was just right, not too expensive not too underpriced. I will say though it was cheaper than my old hairstylist and I have to even say a little better.
