Holly is skilled, meticulous, and truly understands how to shape brows in a way that complements your face. For the first time in decades, my eyebrows look natural, defined, and genuinely flattering. After the wax, when my brows were already looking perfect, Holly went a step further and helped me find a concealer and foundation that make an enormous difference--natural, yet more vibrant and polished. A colleague of hers even weighed in on color matching. They were a young person with a fabulous look all in black, cool silver jewelry, and unmistakable kindness in their eyes. The whole experience felt collaborative and attentive. It is definitely more expensive than the threading I've had in Philadelphia, and I may try to stretch out the time between visits, but it is absolutely worth it. I'm grateful to have found Holly and recommend her without hesitation.

I called and left a message to try and get additional information, but there was no answer and no one returned my call. While I am very sympathetic to current circumstances related to COVID, the impersonal way this was addressed and the lack of actual communication is disappointing and not good customer service. I've had a pretty consistently positive (for the most part) experience with this salon over the last few years, but am very frustrated with how this cancellation was handled at the last minute without any real explanation.

They are far more professional then Guilford Supercuts..In Giulford they talk about their customers before they are even out the door, and brag about how the owner never checks on them, because they all work so hard! very arrogant.. Geri and Connie talk about their customers, which is hardly the thing to do in Saybrook, you are greeted very warm,y, soon as you walk in, and the salon is spotless.. Leica gave me an excellent haircut, as I only wanted a trim, and she did what I asked,,,the best ever, and my friend went to Paula and she gave him a great haircut.. Liz took all of my requests into consideration and gave me an absolutely wonderful haircut (not an easy thing to do considering how thick my hair is and how long it had grown.) More than that, she was incredibly kind and made me feel well taken care of throughout my appointment. All of the staff that I interacted with were warm and professional. Everyone was also very careful and aware of COVID protocols, which to me was an added bonus. The only negative for me going in was the cost (a bit pricier than what I can afford since I'm still in school) but honestly... I really think it was completely worth it.
