To be transparent, one of the things that drew me to La Strega was the name, I wanted to see what was so witchy about this gelato - and of course the positive reviews helped. There were a few chairs and stools in case you wanted to sit and enjoy, though they were a little awkwardly placed. There were several flavors of gelato as expected - instead of being on display they were in tubs covered in lids. I heard that's the "proper" way to store gelato as it remains fresher, though the jury is still out for me on that one. Anyway, I got the smallest cup size where I was able to choose two flavors - so I went with the cream and the chestnut. The gelato was really good - creamy with great flavor. The cherry was just okay but I really enjoyed the black sesame. Hubby had pistachio and a strawberry cheesecake, and I liked the pistachio. There aren't many flavors to choose from, which is one of the signs of a good gelato place. While the gelato itself was good, the flavors didn't really appeal to me so I kind of just settled on those two. So if you want to try the flor di latte, seems you need to go way earlier than I did.
