If zero was an option I would choose that. Do not be fooled by his charisma- he over promised under…read moredelivered and outside of his initial consultation, where we experienced said charisma... he then handed the case over to a staffer. (This case was not mine. It was a loved one of mine , whom I supported because she was absolutely discriminated against )- She was never told he would no longer be her contact. She is a woman who came into the meeting traumatized because of the absolute discrimination and as soon as her check cleared , she was told ... it's not against the law for your boss to be an "A-Hole". Sooo $15,000 later that was the statement. The staff attorney that was assigned to her ( with zero discussion) was honestly a nice guy. BUT suddenly and with ZERO communication AGAIN from this office ... that guy was no longer with the firm. And this was mid case. ZERO communication and you can imagine how upsetting this would be to someone- someone who was told " this is one of the most egregious cases of discrimination I have seen ".( during the interviews) - ( wow and really? Appears this is how they treat clients who come to them in crisis)- The communication was awful and therefore making the over all customer service experience a disappointment- but that does not in any way compare to the absolute change that was experienced after the check cleared. AND when she delivered the check to the office he actually positioned his chair to look down the hall to an administrator so they can confirm the check cleared. This was so obvious ( it was cringe worthy and he thought the was slick- we saw it and tried to give a pass- ) and this set a tone of ... hmmmm the trust we discussed is possibly not really there. (It was not) She paid her fee. He did VERY little from that moment on. VERY little Awful. I apologized to her for agreeing and supporting her decision to choose him. He was awful. Awful and fake. The FAKE makes it the most awful. I feel like he took advantage of someone who was so damaged by the discrimination she experienced. Such a disappointment. Awful. SUCH a disappointment.

He went above and beyond to help me get justice and in a quick and timely manner as well!

Upon receiving my settlement checks on one of them they took out nearly 50% of what I had received…read more Before, receiving the checks I had also sent Matt an email and even spoke with him by phone, he did not tell me that it would be 50% of the check amount. He was condescending stating he did not know the amounts/percentage tile , and for me to ask my tax preparer or accountant "which I had and the percentage tile they gave me for the check amount was a lot less rather than 50%." When I had arrived at the office to pick up the check all "Matt could say is that my check is in the normal range he sees when the employer deducts taxes out." So then he knew it would be nearly 50% they take out for taxes, so then why not just tell me that, instead of having me contact my tax preparer??? Why BOTHER having me contact my tax preparer in the first place? When I had picked up the check, he met with me in front of the receptionist desk being "Samantha Iglesias" which she was present I began asking him questions in front of Samantha that's when she started looking at me then looking back over at Matthew then at some point Matt and Samantha looked back at each due to my questions she then starting shaking her head. He just kept blowing off my question(s) when I had asked him, why did they take out so much? His response was... Well that just means you will receive back more money at the end of the year from IRS. My response is... "I DON'T receive money back from IRS no thanks to someone who committed TAX FRAUD in my name, using my social which explains why I don't receive tax refunds at the END of the YEAR! I'm sure your nosey receptionist Samantha, wouldn't have been looking at me then back looking over at Matt and meanwhile Matt at some point looked over back at her when she had shook her head. Nosey girl mind your business and stop listening to clients questions- I'm pretty sure if you had been victimized by tax fraud I'm pretty sure you'd be upset/disappointed too by the amount of taxes being deducted. Matt also was not much help on answering my questions about why none of the amounts matched from what he informed me to what my tax preparer stated "those amounts were ridiculously to HIGH and clear did not take out what I had been advised." "Had you would have ASKED me, why I was concerned with the amount of taxes being deducted in the first place!" I've also hired personal injury lawyer(s) and non of them have EVER handed me my checks in front of a receptionist less know spoke about my case in front of a receptionist the way Matt conducted himself. They've always either had me in their office or in their conference room for me to sign release and pick up checks and then hand them to me. Considering you no longer work for the employer I don't feel as though they're entitled to deduct taxes at especially for something they're AT-FAULT for even a "personal injury lawsuit for insurance purposes does not deduct taxes" I also, don't believe they are taking taxes out on every settlement for each client. Had they would have told me that UPFRONT and straightforward I probably wouldn't have SETTLED for the amount in which we agreed upon. I had also asked Matt Farnworth upon signing for the check(s) and had been receiving them at the receptionist front desk being "Samantha Iglesias" which felt almost like ganging up on someone to me it should not take 2 persons to have a client both sign for release and pickup of checks, handing the checks over to me, and asking the attorney Matt questions in front of the receptionist "Samantha Iglesias." The attitude, personality, and behavior of the receptionist really just killed the whole vibe. Aside from this they did work aggressively on my case, always responded to BOTH my emails and calls within a timely manner. They definitely fought the fight for me during mediation and filing and was always there for me by my side. Retained a high settlement! But between what Matt said about the deductions, your receptionist, & picking up and signing for the checks with the receptionist and talking in front of her to Matt was just an odd experience "I've never experienced that not even with a personal injury attorney." That was sloppy. Beware!
