Dr. Lerner and the other physicians at this Mount Sinai Medical office were on my plan. I next asked the Forest Hills Facebook group if anyone had any experience with these doctors. All the doctors in the Mount Sinai Medical group got rave reviews but one review convinced me that Dr. Lerner was the doctor for me. The reviewer mentioned that Dr. Lerner had given her his personal cell number. I liked that he would do that. So today I have my first checkup with him. I was greeted my his PA Marissa who took all my vitals and blood. In the past many doctors assistants had trouble finding my vein to take blood but Marissa had no problem and it was relatively painless. When she was finished Dr. Lerner came in and introduced himself. I has a very nice demeanor and was a very good listener and answered my questions in a way that I was able to understand. It's nice to have a PCP once again. Give Dr. Lerner and the folks at Mount Sinai Medical group a try, you'll like them.

He has taken care of me since I'm 45 years old when I went to him I was in poor shape he helped me back to vitality . He discovered that I was diabetic and has helped me ever since I have been in several accidents and even had pneumonia as to which Dr Weinstein cared enough to come and visit me at the hospital . Even when I was in a motorcycle accident and he found out that I was in the hospital for that he came and saw me he came and saw me at the rehab I was in recovering from the motorcycle accident in my opinion he is the most terrific doctor and if you're lucky enough to go to this man he will help you better than any other primary health care physician you will ever meet . His courteous staff and his wife are very efficient and professional and Dr Weinstein takes his time to explain your illness and what you should do about it and the prescriptions that he prescribes truly help you he knows exactly who to send you to if it's a situation that you need endocrinologist or pulmonologist or any other needs he will send you to the right orthopedic doctor he will recommend the right cardiologist he's most fantastic doctor just recently he sent me to the correct ear doctor in which this doctor remove the wax build up in my ears from construction work then he gave me a hearing test he completely relieved my hearing loss and was so efficiently professional it blew my mind . Dr Weinstein is more than my doctor he is my friend . They have a lab next door as well as downstairs. They also offer free parking. Now I won't lie - depending on what time you go the wait time can be HORRENDOUS but I've seen enough crappy doctors that I wouldn't mind sitting through hell if I had to just to see Dr. Maslavi. I don't really have much to…read moresay about Dr. Maslavi as I have never actually been seen by him other than meeting him even though he was my primary care doctore; It's always been his assistant that has checked on me. I came in one day to get tested for oral herpes because although I didn't have enough evidence to say what it was, I still wanted to be safe and get it checked out. With my insurance, co-pay of $15 is required for every visit so I went through that and saw the assistant, I can't remember her name but she has blonde hair from what I remember. So she checks me out, is super rough with my lips and tells me it's herpes without any further testing. I ask for more testing a couple of times and she tells me it's not needed and recommends me products to purchase. I left feeling emotionally distraught because they didn't do any testing and although the co-pay was cheap, it felt unnecessary. I went back in and demanded for testing and after seeing how emotionally distraught I was, was when she let me get testing. Guess what? Testing came back negative and the bump was actually a mucocele. Not only that but I received another co-pay in the mail. Again I don't know much about Maslavi but his assistant was super unprofessional in this case and caused me to no longer have him as my PCP.

Fast forward 4 months Dr. Memon never removed the fees of 70 dollars he overcharged me Along with had empire city laboratories call me on my personal cell phone threatening me that if I do not remove the review I will have to deal with the overpayment. The nurse there took my blood pressure and asked very personal questions regarding my health conditions in the waiting room in front of other patients and people waiting for patients ( I'm sure that violates some kind of HIPPA laws ) and to top it all off they only accept cash and don't do their job to check with your insurance if your deductible is met before starting any treatment. I'm out $530 and they still expect me to pay $150 every time I go in to finish my IV treatment ( have 3 more to go ) despite confirming with my insurance that my deductible is met. This office is unbelievably money hungry which is no surprise every medical office is a business at the end of the day but it seems like every single person that works there ( nurses and medical assistants included ) lack bed side manner and empathy and are just there for a paycheck. I refuse to ever step foot in there ever again unless it's for my refund from when my deductible was met.
