The goal is to ensure that every child is placed in a safe and permanent home allowing them the chance to reach their full potential in life." They had me at children. Kane County has over 600 children in their system. There are 35 organizations within the state of Illinois. Seriously, is there any more deserving population?

At daycare he plays games, works on puzzles, and enjoys music. Day care gives my grandma a much needed break. I know they treat him very nice there because he has the type of Alzheimer's patient if something bad happens he remembers it. He has been going there for eight months and he always comes back happy, which is amazing to me. This place is great for the elderly to interact with other people outside the family and it gives the caregivers a break. He is memory is not good, needs reminders to take his medications and can get grumpy/obstinate. He goes to Elderday twice a week and he is a different person. He comes back home with the word games of the day and shows off the laminated pictures they take on their themed days - Kentucky Derby (his favorite), Senior Olympics, etc. The staff is very caring and they let us know if he is more tired than usual or if there is a concern. They are also a great resource for the family on additional senior services. Wonderful staff and organization!

I know that's not something here in America we can truly grasp, but its true. Children must be 5+ yrs old, I believe, to participate. Adults can go with a group, or alone, it doesn't matter. Single volunteers can just show up without a reservation. Just check-in when you arrive. Double check packing session start times on their website first. You're doing a great thing by volunteering to help here - financially and/or physically. I've been to the Schaumburg, IL location as well, and imo the Aurora facility is the BEST! So, please go! It'll make your heart happy to bless someone else.

If you asked me to review Rayito del Sol back in 2022 or 2023, I'd grouse about how turnover was a big problem and that well-liked classroom teachers were abruptly let go or quit without warning. Now that the seas have calmed, my wife and I are happy, but more importantly, our kids are happy. The building and daycare facilities (playground, etc) are in good shape, the staff treat kids well, and they're vigilant with dietary/allergen needs. We did have an ongoing problem with a teacher in the older toddler room (who lacked the demeanor to be around children), and she frequently butted heads with our "neurospicy" kiddo, though that's been resolved. Management are good communicators and respond quickly to any issues that arise. They provide timely updates via an app for parents' peace of mind and have weekly/monthly activities that are really cute. They once hosted a movie night for the kids, so parents could enjoy a few hours to themselves. Wish they'd do that again. The cost of enrollment is high but not that much different than Kindercare. In fact, Rayito offers a discount for educators which they let us combine with a discount for enrolling multiple children. Even though daycare costs have eclipsed our goddang mortgage, they've thrown us enough of a bone to keep us onboard. * TL;DR * Every mom & dad wants the best for their kids and so far, Rayito seems to be the answer. We've made some nice parent-friends thanks to Rayito del Sol, and we can rest at night knowing our kids are getting the best care possible. I'm glad we signed up when we did and hope to see more of the same positivity and improvements for as long as we're enrolled.

The Spanish immersion is not just marketing. They truly do everything en español while still being able to communicate with any non-spanish speaking parents completely in english. They have been dismissive, won't transfer me to the correct person or schedule an appointment to speak with a board member on why I can't receive a written response with detailed explanation on how we can't go further, Tonya constantly kept saying this was pending litigation & didn't ask any questions on the documents sent to her that showed that I have a large sum of money coming my way that will help me pay my rent from that point on, this grant is for emergencies & everything I sent was never looked at or questioned on the severity of the emergency
