Definitely will be going back. The service was great, even had a follow up call to check on our little Myles.

Animal Healthcare of Southlake has treated our border collie for many years. Unfortunately, the…read moreclinic recently had to help us euthanize this 13 1/2 year old pet. A couple of weeks after her passing, we received a condolence card from the clinic. Each staff member wrote a touching message. This unexpected gesture confirmed how much these folks care about their patients. I don't know if we will get another dog, but if we do, Animal Healthcare Clinic of Southlake will be our veterinarian.

New to this area and this office is ridiculous. Three visits and they have tried (every single…read moretime) to run up a huge bill for things we were not there to address. High cost treatments in situations where it is absolutely not necessary, all why trying to play on the emotions of our love for fur baby. We saw right through it. We just nodded and smiled and sad no thank you. For example, Our past vet was a guru. (He also treated exotics, had a TV show with live call in questions, and would always err on the least invasive approach first when suspecting a diagnosis.) We are also on our third dog of this breed. We questioned him about a situation (two dogs ago, 12+ years) He said, "leave it alone. Those situations work best when nature takes its course. Intervening could only result in long term complications with their tiny jaw bone." Much experience with this and many years later, the vet at AHCS went on and on about tests & surgery needed immediately. ‍ She was a piece of work! (We were like, thank you, but can we just get the script for heart worm meds?) The other times they have manufactured concerns and played on the negative outcomes if we don't do something (again not what we were there for). The joke is on them. They don't know my husband is a trauma boarded physician. When he asks why chase a rare/odd suspicion when there is no sign during daily living and no treatment anyway? They (especially techs) look like a deer in the headlights. Their reply was "don't you want to know?" Ha! He said, "I prefer to wait for symptoms before I begin investigating. " Beware!!! They will rack up a huge bill for NOTHING if you let them play on your emotions!!

We recently moved to the area and was looking for a vet for my 2 year old puppy. I searched around…read moreand from the first phone call I had a pleasant interaction from there, I truly have loved my experience at TruBond Vet! Dr. Cito and the wonderful team are so lovely and eased all my worries in preparing for my dog; Cooper's surgery. I knew I found the right place, when Dr. Cito sat on the floor with my puppy when he introduced himself to her (she is a nervous gal). She left that apt happy and a belly fully of treats! In preparing for surgery I had a few appointments and the staff were so kind and took their time to explain my options and sent friendly text reminders about the upcoming appointments. They truly care about your fur baby and you as well! I've had such a lovely experience and I know you will to! Ps They also have an on-site groomer which is a great option. I haven't tried them yet!

I had high hopes for this practice after reading the reviews and taking my dogs here for several…read moremonths. After a routine exam, they advised me that my otherwise healthy 5-year-old dog needed a dental and gave me an estimate of around $900. The day of my dental, the vet called me and told me that my dog needed $3500 worth of dental work. I was shocked by the cost difference but I of course wanted my dog to have the best possible care, so I agreed. After his surgery, they told me to contact them immediately if I had any concerns. I felt reassured and supported, but it turns out that their concerns were merely performative. In the days following his surgery, my once vibrant and energetic dog was not himself. I understand that recovery takes time, but after a few days of observing some concerning symptoms (including blood in his stool), I made a follow up call to the vet. They blew off my concerns, but when I persisted, agreed to see him for a follow-up visit that would (surprise!) cost an undetermined amount of money. I'm now out $3500 and have a lethargic five-year-old dog. I couldn't even get a vet on the phone to listen to my concerns (despite one being available when I called), and they have demonstrated that they don't care about anything except taking more money from me. This is concerning, to say the least. I would expect this kind of behavior from a private equity-owned veterinary practice, but not from an independently owned office. Lesson learned: When you pay more for services, you don't necessarily get better care (or more caring, compassionate, and concerned practitioners) in return. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and you may want to consider that as well.

My original review came from a place of fear, frustration, and deep worry about her future. After meeting with the team at Lantana Animal Hospital today, I feel it's important to update my review to reflect the full picture. They took the time to sit down with me, listen, explain, and truly understand what happened from my perspective. What stood out the most is that they weren't defensive, dismissive, or focused on money--they were compassionate and genuinely concerned about Maggie's well-being. They acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, and instead of distancing themselves, they leaned in. They made it clear that they care and are willing to work with me however they can to support Maggie moving forward. In a world where veterinary care can sometimes feel rushed or transactional, I appreciated seeing the human side of their team today. While this journey has been painful and far from what I hoped for Maggie, I do believe they want to do right by her and are committed to helping however possible. I'm updating my review to reflect that compassion and willingness to help.
