just now New I never…read moreleave bad reviews but I'm just appalled by this location. We just moved to the area, we had used bonds ranch in the past when we lived here 4 years ago and they referred us to this clinic. We used an animal hospital religiously in Parker county and I should've just gone back to them. Our cat ended up with a laceration and was treated by this clinic on Tuesday, upon taking the dressing off last night noted none of the sutures had held up. Upon taking our cat in today to be rechecked, the vetinarian was condescending and simply came up with excuses trying to put the blame on us. It left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I will never understand how this establishment has 5 stars on Google…read more I originally found Avondale Animal Clinic through a search, and given the great reviews and proximity to my home, I was genuinely hoping this would be our new primary vet. Unfortunately, my experience didn't reflect those positive reviews. First, while I completely understand that veterinary clinics can sometimes be short-staffed or encounter unexpected emergencies, there seems to be a significant issue with their scheduling. Appointment times were simply not respected, resulting in excessive wait times that felt more like intentional overbooking rather than unavoidable delays. Secondly, my very first visit raised immediate concerns about the clinic's cleanliness. While sitting in the exam room, I noticed the ceiling vents had a thick layer of dust, almost an inch thick, resembling a clogged dryer vent. For a medical facility where my pet is being examined and treated, maintaining a highly sanitary environment is incredibly important to me. The deciding factor happened during our second visit on June 9th at 3:00 PM. We were scheduled for a urine sample via cystocentesis for my dog, (a procedure she's successfully had done twice before at an ER without issue). We arrived early at 2:50 PM to be considerate, but we weren't seen until 3:30 PM. They took my dog to the back, and we ultimately didn't leave the facility until 4:40 PM. The most frustrating part was that after all that waiting, they claimed my dog didn't have enough urine in her bladder to perform the test and that she did not even pee as they tried taking her **OUTSIDE** without even informing me that the cysto was not successful (RED FLAG) I found this incredibly hard to understand, as I meticulously followed the doctor's strict instructions from our first visit: I ensured she drank plenty of water and absolutely did not let her urinate for at least 3 hours prior to the appointment. While I initially agreed with the tech to reschedule for the first slot of the day on Friday, June 12th at 9:00 AM to avoid another long wait, I realized later that evening that I simply don't have confidence in this clinic moving forward. With all that being said, I will be taking my business elsewhere to find a vet who respects appointment times, maintains a much cleaner facility, and can provide the efficient, genuine care my dog deserves without leaving us waiting for nearly two hours to not even complete a scheduled test.

ATTN PET OWNERS: I'd like to share my experience with Bonds…read moreRanch Animal Medical Center here for everyone to see and be aware I pray this happens to no one else: Profound Negligence by Bonds Ranch Animal Center in Handling My Dog's Remains: On the day I tragically lost one of my dogs back in September when he was hit by a car, I brought him to Bond's Ranch for cremation -- and made it extremely clear that I needed his DNA collected first so I would be able to know his breed mix. I called five times after I left him - verifying the steps and ensuring what I needed would be done. I spoke for 28 minutes with the receptionist, and sent multiple emails with explicit directions for a cheek swab and then a tissue sample when the cheek swab wasn't possible. I even called immediately after sending an email subjected "Tissue Sample" to review the instructions with her. She confirmed she understood and that the doctor knew what to do. When I arrived with dry ice and shipping materials, I was told the vet NEVER collected the sample before cremation-- only hair and nails. The hair had no root (so it's useless for DNA). I am deeply concerned with Dr. Nichols medical knowledge if he believes top coat fur can be submitted for DNA testing needs... This wasn't a minor miscommunication. It was a complete failure to follow clear, documented instructions from a pet owner. Because of this, I permanently lost the chance to preserve his genetic material and learn his true breed mix. On top of that, I had requested the clay paw prints every cremation facility provides. Bonds Ranch never submitted that request. Instead, they made their own(!) with paint on paper. It looks like a child's art project! I have the email thread with the crematorium confirming the clay prints were NEVER REQUESTED from Bonds Ranch. Yet again -- another piece of him I've lost forever due to their lack of attention and utter negligence. If this is the attention they pay in imperative moments that can never be recovered, please be aware of how they handle everything.

My dog just had his first dental cleaning today, and the entire experience was seamless and incredibly AFFORDABLE. The Process I started this journey at the beginning of the year by calling to inquire about costs. The staff was wonderful--they were very friendly and answered every single one of my questions without rushing me. A few days later, they followed up to get us scheduled and handled the deposit over the phone. It was very organized from the jump. Drop-off & Staff When we arrived for drop-off, I'll admit I was a bit nervous because the line was quite long. However, the TCAP team is a well-oiled machine! They were so quick and efficient that the line moved in no time. What really touched me was how they handled my dog. He has some anxiety, and the friendly staff went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable and calm before taking him back. It's clear they truly care about the animals, not just the procedure. Pick-up & Aftercare Pick-up was just as smooth. They provided thorough after-procedure care instructions and the necessary medications so I knew exactly what to do once we got home. We were back to our day in no time! Bottom line: If you need dental work or wellness services for your pet, TCAP provides professional, compassionate care at a fraction of the cost of a traditional vet. We will definitely be back!

I am 4 months into a UTI issue with one of my dogs and they cannot give me a solution that works, we've tried 3 different kinds of antibiotics and I have made the infection impossible to treat now. The correct approach looking back was to do a full urinalysis and know exactly the type of bacteria so we could target it correctly out of the gate. They didn't suggest that until we had 2 full failed rounds and then when we did the test their lab left the urine out too long and got inconclusive results. Nonetheless, I continued on with round 3 of antibiotics, finished it last week and the dog is peeing in the house again today. Taking him to another vet now and looking back this process just makes me furious. I've spent close to 10k on visits, medicine, new food, supplies for my house and I had to get new floors... all without even having a solution. People should know about my experience and I hope no one else has one similar.
