    Micheladas ($5 happy hour)
    Alyanna M.

Decided to try their happy hour deals here. We tried the michelada ($5), pretzel bites ($5), & sausage party ($20). They had pretty good deals to offer. Michelada was decent tasting. We didn't realize the sausage party already included pretzel bites so we had double the amount of pretzels, our server failed to mention this to us. The food was unfortunately extra greasy, we felt so sick with all the grease that we couldn't finish it. The "pretzel" bites tasted like slices bread soaked in oil. The sausages were also all covered in oil. I would not have paid regular price for this food. Aside from that, staff was super nice. I just think they could improve on the amount of oil they use in their food!

Our visit was long overdue..... We had to swing by since our soldier is home visiting. The menu has changed a bit.... Unfortunately they stopped making pizza/ flatbreads. However, we were told that they'll be bringing it back soon. We were trying to order their fish and chips but they ran out..... Whomp whomp. Luckily they still had a lot of other good options. Everything we had was yummy (like always). Great service and vibes. Just like old times..... What we ordered: * Bavarian Pretzel * The Burger w/ Onion Rings (shared) * Bleu Cheese & Bacon Smash Burger w/ Tater Tots * Peach Bourbon Crush * Paper Plane * Irish Mule

This little love is so fun. Amazing happy hour . If you go on Tuesdays you get happy hour and taco Tuesday specials. The beer is cold . The pretzel bites are delicious. They have really good sausages . Trivia night on Tuesday's.

While the food is OK, the restaurant has good service and a friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful, and this place is pretty busy with people hanging out after work. I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel - simple and tasty. Not pictured is the gravy that they gave in a separate container so that the chicken wouldn't get soggy. The Hen House appetizer (chicken sliders) were pretty good. Some of the chicken was tough, but the bread is sweet and the pickles they use are excellent. Tater tots are very good, no complaints. Super crunchy. The cinnamon roll is OK. Something about it doesn't feel like a classic cinnamon roll, as if they are using some other type of dough. Little tougher but flavor is still good. They also don't put too much icing which I like as it doesn't overpower the roll.

I love the Vogue. We popped in for some beers and snacks after seeing a movie, and even though I'd been here before for meals, this was my first late-night jaunt. The place was poppin! Great people watching, excellent service, and perfect beers. Absolutely will be returning.

As soon as I came into this bar, there was NO welcome at all!! I already DISLIKED this bar as soon as I noticed the guys at the front of the restaurant were just staring at me, NOT coming towards me to seat me down! When this bar ISN'T even busy at all! Sorry, customer service is everything!!!!

In the heart of downtown Chula Vista. A chill place to be if you want to stay local! Servers here are all nice. Food could be a little better in terms of flavor. Definitely comes out fresh though! A bit expensive for it being bar food. Tacos are a pass but the French fries and wings are good! Parking is convenient.

The server was a great person The music playing in the background was great, theClash The beer and beer selection was good I had 2 beers The food was bad. I ordered a small salad to start I couldn't eat it, the lettuce was not crunchy and wilted . I just ate the croutons and cucumbers. I didn't complain when the server picked up the partially eaten salad. Then I ordered a burger. I cut it in half like I always do. I ate most of 1 half of it, and then I looked and I got kind of grossed out. I couldn't finish it when the waiter came by. He saw how pink it was and he took the burger off my bill Without me saying anything which I thought that was quite kind of him. This was my first time in this area so I rolled the dice and walked in. Other than that, the place had a really cool vibe to it.

The bison burger was good. Was very juicy and surprisingly good. The service was great. The person recommended a few items and was very friendly. Ordered some tater tots as well as we need something starchy with the burger. Will come here again, especially that crispy tots.

It's def got a divey bar feel with some Star Wars stuff around but just overall kind of a fun laid back bar with some good beers, service and cocktails. It was busy when I went but we got our drinks pretty quick and they accept the InKind app so u can get a decent discount with that. Good spot to grab a quick drink with friends in downtown Chula Vista.

    Fried Pickles
    Julie R.

I'm so salty about this. It's my birthday and I wanted fried pickles. I put in a DoorDash order and they had a half off deal so they were $5. It's a good thing because there were a handful of pickles -- I would've been so irritated if I'd paid $10 for this amount. I wonder if they halved the amount too? Not only that, I knew I wanted ranch with the fried pickles. I was putting in a grocery order too, and I considered getting ranch just in case the restaurant didn't send any. However, I looked at the picture on the DoorDash menu (see attached menu picture vs reality) and it clearly showed sauce, so I didn't order any with my grocery order. Sadly, the fried pickles arrived with no sauce whatsoever. The tots and pickles were both super soggy, which I do try to be understanding about since I like to DoorDash orders, but I like it when restaurants cut a vent in the box to try to prevent this. I air fried them to try and salvage the order. The schnitzel was very good, but again, such a tiny portion for $23!! Mostly though, I'm just irrationally sad about my birthday pickles and really don't get how it happened. Does anybody eat fried pickles without sauce?

It is located inside the Growler Sports Bar, close to the lobby. The host at Growler showed us the entrance, and since we arrived right at opening time, we were able to choose any seating we liked. They have a great cocktail menu. I tried the Brunch Bootleg and the Pink Lady, and both were delicious. What I also loved is that they can create off menu cocktails based on your preferred flavor profile, making the experience feel even more personalized. There are three parking options available: valet for $30, self parking at the hotel for $20, or free 3 hour self parking across the street.

There were 6 of us. The gal who was doing security gave us menus and said the bartender would be by and they do table service. She gave us menus but no water. We waited for more than 10 minutes and watched two bartenders behind the bar never come over, not even greet us, bring us water, say "hey I will be with you" ... nothing. And they weren't rushed or slammed, nobody was ordering, they just didn't come out to us or even look at us, bring us waters, nothing. And by the way, their menu is disgustingly overpriced. $25 cocktails (very basic) Average cost for a GLASS OF WINE.. $30-$55 per POUR. for a mid af $100 bottle of wine lol. 55 dollars per glass of wine and we could not get an acknowledgment whatsoever. We ended up getting up and leaving and as we were walking out the bartender ran over (super quick btw, so he does have legs) and said hey where are you guys going, and we said we're leaving and he said "I was gonna come over right now" It was so cringe like he was chasing a tip from us since we had a medium size party. Not worth the hype, not worth the reviews, the influencers who post about this place probably worked something out with the management or hotel because this place is a total miss. Not even a swing and a miss. I can't say enough bad things about it.

I chose So Fresh and So Clean, which exactly was the taste when I sipped this drink. The garnishing was minimal, so I was a little disappointed that the presentation wasn't that great. I ordered Just like candy and I loved the candy garnish as this was a fun twist to this drink. I did want the cocktails be a little more alcohol forward since I didn't feel it very much. The inside has a nice jungle/plant vibe -- warm, inviting decor that feels intentional without being overdone. Service stood out right away. Our waiter was attentive and checked in often without hovering. I ordered the Pupu Platter during happy hour, and it's a smart move if you want variety. It's just enough food for one and gives you a sampling of different menu items. The Korean-style wings had good flavor and just the right level of spice, though I wish they were a little crispier. The sliders were straightforward -- nothing groundbreaking -- but well made and satisfying. Fries came out crispy, which I always appreciate. My wife had the poke nachos, and those were the sleeper hit. I was skeptical about the pico at first, but it actually added depth and balance. The sauce tied everything together nicely. We also ordered a mocktail and one of their signature drinks, and both were well crafted. Overall, a great dinner with good energy, solid execution, and attentive service. To make matters worse, on a Friday night they were out of all draft beer, which was surprising for a restaurant and bar that promotes its tropical cocktails and lively atmosphere. Dessert was the biggest letdown. The mango sticky rice was honestly one of the worst versions we've ever had--poorly prepared and lacking flavor. The chocolate cake was so dry that it was practically inedible. The tropical décor and hidden tiki speakeasy "X" are interesting concepts, but the poor service and disappointing food overshadowed what should have been a special birthday celebration.
