5/31/26: the young lady who helped us gave us a warm welcome as we entered the store. She took good care of us throughout our Sunday lunch. Loved the Hurricane Grill Chicken Salad and Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings. Hit the spot after church and eased our pain as we watched our Padres choke again.

Another pet friendly restaurant in my area! I was very pleased with the service and the food. Their patio area is perfect for pets. The food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Got there a little while after lunch hour and the waiter still granted the lunch menu items. Also their happy hour menu is great! I Will definitely come back.

Went here on a Wednesday night for a little dinner date since it's close to our home and we've never tried before, and we were so satisfied with our experience here! Ordered the firecracker shrimp (HIGHLY recommend), Monterey chicken quesadillas, buffalo wings, lemon pepper wings, and western burger (also HIGHLY recommend) and everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Mo, was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. He definitely elevated our experience here. This location is in a moderate size plaza with pretty good parking around, and the inside is nice, clean, and spacious with some seating outdoor as well. We'll be back for sure!

Their Tuesday wings deal is so worth it! On top of that they have a great happy hour. The food is great, comes out fast and fresh, and the service is so attentive. We ordered the macaroni bites and wings, all were delicious. They play sports inside and have a nice sized patio.

This review is long overdue. Let me start out with the kids chicken tenders are so fresh, real chicken breast. It's so good flavorful crispy hot all the things. I usually get the Calypso bowl, which is my absolute favorite and it's so flavorful the peppers and onions can be a little much because that's not my thing but I just work around it because it gives so much flavor with the mahi-mahi and the shrimp. It's a great healthy alternative if you don't wanna get you know fried food at the establishment. And then lastly the wings the wings are bussing y'all the wings are probably the best wings I've had in San Diego. I'm from Atlanta where we do wings and I have not had any Atlanta style wings until I met hurricane grill. I've been gatekeeping this, but the wings are to die for they are big juicy flavorful. I like to get the buffalo and lemon pepper mix back home. We call that a hot lemon pepper sprinkle so it's the closest thing you can get to Atlanta do yourself a favor go here now. Ambience is a bar. It's loud, multiple TVs/games on. But it's a bar. Service is okay. The food is fresh so I don't complain about the service times. They could invest in better customer wifi though.

First and foremost we will NEVER come back to this establishment. We used to come here all the time however, when I informed the gentleman at the counter that the ice by the sodas was empty he refilled it in a way that was disgustingly gross. He took the cover off the ice dispenser and put it on the dirty carpet, filled the dispenser with one tub of ice and put the cover back on. UNSANITARY and will never go back. We took our food and told the lady to just make it to go as this will be the last time we come here.

First time here and we will be back! We walked in and were greeted right away. You pretty much seat yourself wherever you want and the server comes by and gives you a menu. Atmosphere is pretty chill, they have an outdoor area and the inside is pretty big and nice and cool on a hot day. Our server was super sweet and very attentive. We were surprised the restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday. We ordered a few drinks, some fries and some boneless wings. Our server recommended the sweet chili sauce and I'm so glad I did. Drinks were great, food was good and service was great! We will definitely be back! Also saw that they have a Fat Burger ghost kitchen here so we will have to try that soon!

My husband, daughter and I had an amazing experience here! The wings are top tier. Some of the best flavorful wings we've ever had. They are cooked fresh. The flavors are strong and delicious. Our favorite flavor was the secret weapon, which tasted like a sweet teriyaki sauce. The garlic Parmesan was also good, super buttery. I kept thinking about how good that sauce would be on popcorn lol. Their seasoned fries are also fire!! Our toddler had chicken tenders and unseasoned fries. Our server, Layla was extremely friendly and helpful. Since it was our first time eating here - she answered all of our questions and delivered good advice. Ambiance is a non-casual, loud sports bar vibe. Spacious and Family-friendly. There's also a bar. We'll definitely be back to try other flavors.

Got my food to go, and everything was fresh, well-packaged, and ready on time. Place is super clean. The customer service was excellent, everyone was friendly and made the pickup super easy. I'll definitely be ordering from here again!

We came in at night around 9PM and the place was empty but a few to-go people waiting. Waitress handed us menu's and let us sit ourselves which was nice we get to pick out where we wanted. Ambiance was weird since it was empty and maybe that should have been a red flag from the start. I never see people go in here throughout the week. The drinks are self served I'm assuming since we just got cups and were told the fountain was open for us. I personally like this because I don't have to wait for a refill or I can drink more than one flavor but on a night after work I don't particularly want to stand up multiple times it might not be as convenient. We ordered the garlic parm fries which were super good. The garlic flavor wasn't overwhelming and the overall it complimented the fries well. 7/10. We almost ate them all before I remembered to take a picture lol. Partner ordered bone in wings which they enjoyed. I tried them and I'd give them a 6/10. Not a lot of seasoning but the chicken was soft and still moist inside. Not dried out. He picked ranch and honey bbq. Ranch was alright, felt watered down. And the honey bbq was definitely overpowered by the honey taste. Could have been more savory. I ordered the chicken tenders. These took a while to come out compared to the rest of the food. The breading was crunchy which I liked but the chicken inside was super dry. It was kinda like eating jerky but chicken. I got ranch as well and honey mustard. Again, the sweet taste once overwhelmed the honey mustard. This might be great for some people but it was way too sweet for our liking. Over all, this isn't a place I would particularly return to. Perhaps for the burgers since those look appealing but not for the wings or chicken on my part. Parking is also hard to find since its a really small lot. Come earlier than you intend to meet people to find a spot.

Hurricane Grill was on our list to try , it is located in the shopping center next to HomeGoods and across the street from Otay Ranch. We stopped by on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed!!!! We could not find a parking spot , so we parked across by HomeGoods ,it was just a quick walk. I saw another review mention that the sitting/ordering concept was confusing . I asked the server if we just sit down in the patio or do we order first . We sat down and it was about 15 minutes and still no server came to take our order. I went up back to the front and she said she would be right there. She asked what drinks we wanted and she just brought 2 cups since it is self serve .The service was extremely slow , once she finally came we ordered all of our food. They brought the wings , but never brought our nachos (appetizers) I had to inquire about them. Food: Wings were delicious! We tried the medium hot and the Coco Loco. The fries were good as well and the nachos were alright but great appetizer to share . Overall the food was good the reason for the 3 stars is the service . We would order again but pick up to go and enjoy at home.

I came down here because I have a friend from up north who's come down here a few times and suggested this place. He said it's one of his favorite places when he's in town, so that's saying a lot if it's a top place for him and the family. He was right. This was a juicy and incredibly tasty burger. I'd say it's up there with Amboy in Chinatown (Los Angeles) or the newer Amboy spot at Haven City Marketplace in Covina. This place is a gem. Ordering can be a little misleading; hence minus one star. This is a food court setup, and there are menus for each restaurant in these individual stands that are placed on top of a snack wall. If you're going to order from Rey TJ Burgers, it'll be to the left of the main restaurant/register that's directly in front of you when you enter. The main line is Mexican (and seafood I believe?), so I was standing for a while until a lady realized I was holding the Rey TJ burger and called me over. Ordering was easy. Rey TJ's didn't have drinks, so I hard to order from the Mexican food line. The cucumber aqua fresca was AMAZING. Definitely one of the best experiences since I've had since I've moved to the San Diego area. I'm loving it here more and more. I've also had the opportunity to practice a lot of Spanish which I absolutely appreciate. The people here are amazing and much warmer than many of the parts of Los Angeles. Buen dia!

This place fell short of my expectations. My coworkers brought it up to me, therefore we wanted to…read moretry since my son & husband lovessss burgers. It's a food court with its own shared parking lot. When we went in there was a huge line to the door. As you go up the line, there are multiple menus placed to your left in which they have multiple different food options to choose from. Gave me anxiety as I felt rushed coming here for the first time. A line gathering up behind us, ppl in front of me, didn't want to be rude reaching over ppl to grab the menus. So just waited as we moved up to look at them. There's so many options it's overwhelming. Once we got to the front, we were trying to place our order only to find out we waited in line for nothing. The burger line was the empty line to the left which there's no signage or nothing to explain. We did order 1 adobada taco, a horchata, & a sprite. The girl forgot my sprite, told me to go order in the left line for burgers. So when I was placing our burger order, I asked for the sprite I never received. The cashier for burger spot said I have to go back into the other line to order that. Confusing af. Luckily it had 2 customers & not a line out the door like when we first arrived. I ordered the smoked brisket burger, my son the Russel cheeseburger, & my hubby the "burgers & fries." My son did not touch his burger, literally went to waste. My husband said his was ok. As for my brisket burger, I did not like mine at all. It was super salty. It came with a meat patty & CHUNKS of cubed brisket? When I got smoked brisket I assumed it would've been like a pulled pork texture. Quite the opposite. They were chunks of cubed meat. I didn't finish mine. We took everything to go & didn't eat the leftovers once home. We paid around $50 for some less than mediocre burgers that I could've done better at home. I liked that the food court had a self serve salsa bar with plenty of salsas, ingredients, etc. The presentation of the food was good! But the food just wasn't it for us. Probably would never return tbh. Also, when we were wrapping up - the server was hovering over us to finish so she could take the boards/fry basket back. Not like we're gonna steal them. Lol. But I get it, maybe previous patrons have put them near the trash or thrown them away. As the burger place may be its own individual business aside from the food court.

Our favorite server, Nathan, is a lead now. We were seated in Matt's area and he was our server. Nathan came by to say hi and greet us, this is excellent customer service here. A Farewell to the Best Tater Tots in Town…read more There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about dipping your tater tots into that incredible ranch dressing. Seriously--it's the best, especially paired with a cold beer. By far, you've always had some of the best bar food around, and my family enjoys eating here almost every week. That's why we were so disappointed today when I ordered my usual hamburger and tater tots, only to be served what looked like burnt, L-shaped fried potato pieces pretending to be tater tots. It honestly bummed me out. I asked the waitress if these were going to be the new tater tots going forward, and she told me yes. I let her know how disappointed I was. First the tots--what's next? Please don't tell me the pretzels are on the chopping block too. I can't imagine how much money is actually being saved on the bottom line by switching away from the original tater tots, because from a customer's perspective, it feels like a downgrade. The OG tater tots were legendary. Please bring back the original tater tots. Some traditions are worth keeping.
