Was referred here by a friend who had used this shop before…read more Super chill rental shop. Employees are always quick to greet you as soon as you walk in. They never seem too busy to help even when they're chatting amongst each other. They get you checked in and ready to go within minutes. They're super patient when it comes to choosing your gear etc. I asked about switching from skis to snowboarding, which they said was no problem at all. I also asked about adding an additional day onto my rental contract, they said no problem - when you return your gear, whatever additional days can be added on at the end. No need for more paperwork or a new contract; Just bring the gear back by 5 pm. This shop has a sister shop right next to the town lift in DT park city. However, this slope side shop is definitely less busy. In fact, they were willing to let us pick up our gear before 2pm whereas the other shop said wait til after 2pm because employees were on lunch break. So we opted to get our gear here, especially since they said they could hold the gear overnight for free, for us to pick up the next day. So we left our skis and poles there for morning pickup. They sized my friend for boots and they adjusted my rental skis to fit my boots. They sized up a helmet for my friend and then they had us try some poles. They recommended shorter poles, which we agreed to. They do not store your helmet or boots at the shop. What's good about the shop is they have cubbies where you can keep your shoes. They don't guarantee your stuff, so it's at your own risk, but I don't think anyone was going to steal my shoes. So i left my shoes there every day when i picked up my skis. They open at 8 and close at 5. The lifts are 9-430 so it works out perfectly. We would show up, get our boots and gear on, grab our skis and go! The shop was good about answering the phone when we called for help - someone had stolen one set of our poles. Of course there is a charge for lost poles, but I thought the charge was well below reason. Again, super chill shop. I never did change to snowboarding; the skis were perfect for the conditions. The shop has many employees. All were nice and helpful. They even let us in on the upcoming weekend events such as Gaper Day and something about a pond party etc. They gave us recommendations of what to do around town too. All in all, a great shop with wonderful employees with a convenient location and good gear. Renting online ahead of time will save you 20%. So for three days of ski/pole rental with the damage insurance, I paid $67. Great deal.

I am amazed at how few people pay any attention to the running surface of their skis... keeping the edges 'clean', the bottoms flat and waxed make such a huge difference. It doesn't take many runs before the layer of wax is worn down... and while in the shop, have the bindings ISO/DIN checked!

However forcing people buy a pair ski for some edge damage is ridiculous. Also they are not very nice. I made it though the season then had them replaced aga in, but was suggested to upgrade to a better holder. Even though the holes on the holder didn't match up, these guys made it work and they look great. Jim was awesome to work with. His customer service exceeded far beyond what I expected of their -or really any other- store. The craftsmanship of the work looked really good too. Nothing but positive things to say about this place.

We had a terrible experience with another (big name) ski shop in Park City. It was so bad that we returned our skis early and came and rented from Park City Sports instead. We had also called about seven places looking for ski blades and Park City Sport was the only shop in Park City that rents ski blades or tricks skis. Everyone at Park City Sport was so accommodating they did a great job fitting us all. And we're just super super friendly. The shop is clean and well laid out. I would recommend them to anyone. We even had an issue where we had rented for two days and we wanted to skip a day and rest, and it was no problem. We have skied all over the world and this is my favorite ski rental shop ever!

We had an incredible day with Connor at Solitude -- my husband, 7 year old and almost 4 year old…read moreare all 1st time skiiers and Connor was SO patient and encouraging and had them all comfortable coming down the bunny slopes on their own within our half day lesson. My husband even took the lift with Connor for a few green runs at the end. He also engaged our older son right away (when our younger one was having an early meltdown) but also came back to the little one after he calmed down and was able to get him excited and comfortable on the slopes. Basically all 3 family members got like a 1 hr private lesson, and everyone is looking forward to more! (I will say the 3-hr half day was the perfect amount of time as some members of our party were suffering from boot fatigue and we were probably outfitted too warm for spring skiing.) Also, I REALLY appreciated that Connor met us at the car and was sooooo helpful getting everyone into their ski boots and gear for the day. That literally took about a half hour of our time but it would've been miserable on our own (I don't doubt that my husband and younger son would've given up at that point) so THANK YOU CONNOR for your endless patience and support!!! P.S. I totally forgot to shout out James for the quick replies and giving us so much guidance over the phone both before and after the lesson. He recommended Solitude (prob the most economical lift tickets at this time of year) and he also advised my husband on switching out his boots for ones that were more comfortable. Russ, the owner I believe, is dishonest you will never see your custom order product. I ordered a wave longboard a month ago which has not even been made yet, I think. The time I reached out, he said he was waiting for the artist to send them back. (He takes forever to reply and his communication is short and incomplete. ) costumer services sucks in this regard. I reached out to the artist directly and found out that they hadn't received any new blank decks or return labels from Russ to send to me, and didn't appreciate their business being represented that way by Russ. The artist offered to send me one of their own decks, however, it wouldn't have trucks or wheels. I don't think the artist is lying as they've been responsive and showed me their communications. I think he is slandering the artists business this way- which I believe is illegal too... I don't mind the time it takes for a custom project to be made, I get it's a lot more than just send a mass produced product. That's fine. Even though, the website claimed ten days.. What I do mind is the lack of communication, transparency, and how he blamed his negligence on someone else-the artist. They did not attempt to right their wrongs. And,have yet to receive a refund from them. I will probably have to go through the annoyance or disputing this with my bank. Buyer beware.
