WOW... Do you know the look, when you're not welcome because the color of your skin. Well that's the look I got when I enter the door. The guy behind the counter (no greeting, rather RUDE) was helping some other lady and gave me this strange blinking look like he was shocked to see a color person. I stood there for a minute, he kept on blinking at me. And I decided to take my business somewhere else. I just moved to Utah... this shop is so disappointing. In Salt Lake City there's lots of Ski shops. That's too bad he would've had a LIFETIME customer. BAD BUSINESS. You only get one chance to make a first impression. I use to get my board waxed at Ski n C but they don't care about the quality of results and I felt the difference when I would bring it up to the mountains the next day. Still felt sticky! I've been skiing for over 20 years so I've seen a lot of skilled ski shops and this one is by far one of the best I've ever seen. I can't recommend this place enough! Todd at 7even Skis is a highly skilled professional. His shop is impeccably well maintained with all the necessary tools and machinery. But it's his breath of knowledge and professionalism that far surpasses others. I had a base & edge tune done and my partner needed a bit of work on her bindings. My skis were better than new. He asked what edge angles I wanted, detuned tip & tail, etc. (and if you don't know, he's happy to explain, which makes it welcoming for novice or skiers unfamiliar with tuning). I was really impressed with how great my edges looked--they had a mirror-smooth polish to them. The bases looked great too: hand waxed (not machine waxed!) and brushed to perfection. The next day, I could really tell the difference in control and smoothness! I now have only my technique to blame. My partner, a novice skier, had lots of questions. He answered them earnestly without being pedantic or patronizing. You can tell he really knows a lot about skis and he enjoys his work as well as helping people. His prices are very reasonable, and he doesn't charge for things you don't need (I know because I tried). read more

My board had some delamination on it after hitting some rocks, brought it in an hour before they closed and they had it ready to go by the time they opened the next morning. Couldn't even notice where the damage was after they worked on it. Highly recommend! read more

This was a tad pricier than what I'm used to, but Todd did a good job. Paid $25 for a wax, and he did it within the day. We dropped our boards off Wednesday afternoon, getting in San Diego, and expected them to be ready for the snow the next morning. Most of the other places didn't have a next-day turnaround. The weather wasn't all that great for shredding, it turned out, so we we actually didn't pick them up til the afternoon. I took my beat up park skis to Todd at 7even skis without much hope for them. Todd did a fantastic job and the skis turned out amazing! I took my skis in with tip and tail delamination and when I picked them up they were solid, not to mention the edges are now super sharp as well. Todd also did a great job at mounting these up with a pair of marker bindings specific to my weight and ability level. I dropped them off on a Thursday and the turn around was super fast! Overall great experience at 7even skis. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. This is hands down the best ski shop I've had the pleasure to frequent. Todd, the owner, is seriously passionate about skiing and it shows in everything he does. No condescending attitude, just a pure love of the sport and camaraderie with others who are interested in it. Most recently he mounted a pair of bindings for me and it's easily the most perfectly exact binding mount I've seen. I also own a pair of the POW skis he builds.
