Great venue! I enjoy…read morewatching plays and musicals and have been fortunate to visit and watch some good productions on stage from large to small, modern to historic theaters. Volcano, so far, has been the smallest venue I've walked into. I love it! It's waaaaaay off Broadway, historic and there's not a bad seat in the house! It's one of the little gems in the Gold Country. Last month I was lucky to attend and watch a special showing for our group at the historic Cobblestone Theatre. We met some of the Board of Director members and we listened and heard the enthusiasm from their stories as each shared a little about the theatre. I can't recall the others who spoke but can remember Bob, the Business Manager. VTC has been performing live theatrical productions since 1974. The Cobblestone Theatre was built in 1856. I believe there are only 50 seats in the house and they do fill up. During our visit we watched, or rather listened to, "Voices" as five women shared their life stories... each a separate experience and yet not alone. We would love to experience more productions here and watch local talent when we come back, perhaps in the summer, at their outdoor theater where I understand the venue is much bigger and can hold a lot more people. I recently inquired on participating with a small business. I sell crystals and spooky soaps,…read morecandles and bracelets I make. I was told by Dana Hale-Mounier "director" that I was not a good fit and she would shred my application. I inquired as to why as I attend the festivals each year and see plenty of people selling crystals. There was no real answer just an "interesting" The level of service was terrible. I then asked to speak to someone above her and she said she was the person above her? I am so disheartened as crystals really do help people heal and over all are just beautiful pieces to have in your home. The festivals I inquired about would have easily cost me $1000 to participate in + the 10% commissions I would be paying on top of the booth fee but according to Dana my spooky shop is not a good fit. I will be spreading the word over ever platform. Let me also mention that my photo is in my email and it seems like she had already made her mind up based on my ethnicity that my shop was not for her festival. Steer clear if your not the typical hippie person if you know what I mean. This has really made me and my family and friends reconsider ever coming to another festival the PFAs hosts and it should really make you think to why would you want to vend or attend anything where people treat your art and passion like trash. Good luck to whoever has to work with Dana and her "selective team" Ps I have yet to get the information to her direct supervisor.

As someone who loves performing AND perfecting, I wasn't overwhelmed while taking direction. The front desk gals were always so pleasant and helpful! This really gave me the inspiration I needed to continue my dreams and aspirations. I looked forward to each class. I also keep in touch in my cohort and we continue to encourage each other! It was great to see all of the photos and success of previous students plastered on the wall! Yes! I love the full breakdown Cody gave us regarding "moving to LA" I was mind blown and completely changed my perspective on Acting and how I should pursue it! I cannot wait to take the commercial course this month and continue my ongoing acting classes! Tip: 1. Go in ready to learn and absorb everything. Take notes, EVERY session. (I'm still reviewing notes and implementing them) 2. Ask questions. Everything that you have ever wondered about the industry. ASK! 3. Make connections. There are beginners, advanced and in-between in the class. There may be opportunities to work with them in the future! 4. During your one on one, speak candidly, respectfully and ask MORE questions! This is your time to learn from Cody, who has been in the industry since he was a child! Wealth of knowledge!
