These guys are cool. After realizing that my VB Meetup group was getting a lil out of hand, I thought it was time to woman up and buy a beach volleyball net. Don't get discouraged if you call and don't hear back from them--they're super-busy supporting a huge VB community in and outside of Seattle--your patience will be rewarded with great follow-up service and awesome insight on their products. They HOOKED ME UP on some stuff. I wasn't expecting it at all and made me realize that even though Amazon IS out there, I would rather buy my equipment from them. They do a price match guarantee if you find the same product cheaper so you really have no reason to NOT go with these guys. Our High School Volleyball team does a charity event every October for Breast Cancer called Dig Pink. It raises funds for the Side Out Foundation. I contacted Volleyball USA about ordering a pink net for the event for our company to donate. They were very helpful and brought out that a pink net would be against regulations and could cause our team to forfeit. Our Coach requested an exemption for the pink net and was denied. Volleyball USA helped us design a regulation net that was perfect for the event. Since we couldn't have a pink net, I decided to see about doing Pink Pads with the Dig Pink logo to match the net. They once again stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. We had a short timeframe and being in Alaska made shipping a challenge. We got the pads and net with plenty of time to spare. I have recommended Volleyball USA to several people in the past and will continue to use and recommend them in the future. They are an outstanding company to deal with and extremely generous. read more

I'm very disappointed in how this company handled a simple exchange. I purchased a $250 beach volleyball set. When I set it up in our family vacation, it kept falling down. It turns out it was made for the grass. When I called to ask how I go about returning it they said they would get back to me. After several tries, they final told me to return it for a full refund. I went to Fed Ex and $120 later sent it off. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so I called and it turns out they only refunded me $158. So that minus the $120 return fee, I only got $38 and I paid $250. Very disapointed! read more

If you are experienced at setting up courts, nets, etc, then maybe this business would be fine for you. But if you are putting in a backyard court for the first time, for example, you will be challenged. I purchased the slider system and a professional net - not cheap - in total, about 700 bucks. The package arrived with no instructions. I called and they emailed me instructions which were terrible. In addition, the metal brackets were NOT PRE-DRILLED. Why in the world would this be? And, there was no hardware to put in the brackets. So, if you buy this system, be prepared to struggle with the instructions and also be prepared to go to the hardware store. When I called to complain, I will say that the owner Jesse was initially responsive and friendly. He recognized that my complaints were well-founded, and even offered me a full refund. I refused the refund, because I did finally get the net installed and I have every intention of using it. Jesse then offered 3 free volleyballs and a new containment system he was going to test out to see if it was good. If it was, then I would agree to take some pictures, give some feedback and hopefully a positive review for the new system. At that point, I thought that was a nice gesture and I agreed to that. He changed my experience from pretty awful to pretty decent. I was feeling better again about this company. A couple of weeks went by, and the volleyballs never came. I called, and talked with the GM and they told me Jesse had been out of town busy with a tournament, and he would send them. It never happened. A week later, I texted Jesse and just said I was now in need of some balls, but instead of purchasing, I was hoping to take him up on his offer. His formerly friendly attitude changed and he now seemed irritated, and not at all interested in helping me anymore. He texted me and said he had been very busy, and he couldn't do everything on his own and I simply replied by saying "it shouldn't be too much effort to have one of your employees throw some volleyballs in the mail". I then told him to forget it, I would but the volleyballs from one of their competitors. Finally, he texted me and said he sent 3 volleyballs VIA FedEx, along with a pump because they come deflated. I didn't reply. 2 days later, I received a FedEx Package that included 2 balls and no pump. No big deal, it could have been nothing. But for someone who seemed so concerned about helping me out and turning around a bad experience, in the end it was indeed very disappointing. I would not recommend Volleyball USA to anyone who is new to putting in volleyball courts. Which is unfortunate because I really wanted to feel better about them. read more
