However, I do like the convenience of shopping in store when I need something right away. I will say the parking lot of the Bellevue store always makes me jittery when going there because the spaces are tight or awkwardly designed. Not to mention the amount of cars circling the parking lot makes me concerned about fender benders, which leads me to avoid it if I can.

His customer service is impeccable, and his knowledge of the game amazes me. While I might be able to save a dollar or two on a website, I know that I am money ahead by coming here. His son does on-site glove repair and restoration. His selection of mitts is second to none and he knows each and every one. If you buy a mitt from Misho, Jim will personally start the break in process in his shop with the old fashioned wooden mallet and hammer. Jim is always willing to help out the community and his customers. This is and will always be my go-to place for baseball and softball gear.

The store was pretty empty, and I was almost immediately helped by a staff member, though this would probably vary depending on crowd size. Max lead me through the foot-scanning process that showed the size, arch, width, etc. of my foot, and gave recommendations on shoes. The workers were knowledgeable about what kinds of footwear would work for me. Shout-out to Max for being really patient with me trying out all the shoes, spikes, and socks! The shoe prices were in-line with other stores, and if you sign up for VIP you get a 10% discount. Overall, my experience was great (though again the store was not busy so this probably varies), the staff were amazing, and I'm excited to use my new shoes!

Our go to person we've been ordering from is Kristin, but I've been in and received help from Ryan and multiple different folks. All are welcoming and helpful. I wish I would have known about Risan a couple seasons back when we were having trouble finding cleats. They had a TON of options, same goes for bats ( they even had the Fire bat which was one of my son's top asked for bday items). There was a day recently where Kristin was not in, and I was able to still get a response from her via email and her coworker even text her to get a response. The team at Risan cares about their customers and that's rare to find nowadays. Every time I've been in I see someone else there getting great service, and you can tell they've had some relationships with local schools and teams for years and years. I also like that they're able to do small batch orders. We were considering doing a dozen hats for parents and Kristin was more than happy to get quotes for me. During this visit, I was browsing for cycling shorts and looking around other sections of the store--like I usually do when I shop for outdoor or camping gear. As I walked near the kayaks, an employee named Chad suddenly shouted across the store, "Are you OK?" in a loud, almost accusatory tone. I wasn't sure if he was speaking to me, but when I asked, he said yes. It made me feel like I was being watched suspiciously, even though I was simply browsing. When I went to the register, I mentioned that his tone had startled me. Instead of apologizing, he just nodded and made a "hmm, hmm, hmm" sound while looking away--completely dismissive and unkind. There was no "sorry," no acknowledgment, and when I paid, he didn't even say "thank you" or show the slightest courtesy. Immediately after, I saw him speak to another customer with a big smile and a polite tone. The difference in how he treated us was obvious and upsetting.
