we stopped for a pastry in the last morning and as soon as i saw their sourdough loaves, i got one as well. friendly service, nice ambiance and clean tables/booths and sitting area to settle in and stay a while. they use 100% organic flour from royal city and make it a point to be transparent about their belief of choice ingredients and effort that go into their bread. the other thing that caught my eye was the case of frozen take home pies! both savory pot pies and sweet fruit filled options looked absolutely delicious! the sandwiches are supposed to be to die for so i'll have to make it a point to come back to try one because you fill out your desired sandwich ingredients (from cheese to meat to condiments) on the tiny clipboard form so you know you're getting exactly what you want. i have a baked good obsession and the raspberry one we chose to split hit the spot! the sourdough loaf is going to be used in the coming week for toast and sandwiches so gluten needs are fully covered. read more

You can't go wrong with the sandwich. Just check off what you want on the sandwich form. Upgrade for a couple of bucks to get chips and a cookie. We tried some of the pastries as well, and they were good! The iced coffee was just ok; the syrup didn't really get well incorporated into the drink, so we'd go somewhere else for coffee next time. read more

This phenomenal bakery is exactly what the Chelan/Manson area needed! It's really what any city needs. This is what getting fresh baked sourdough bread should look like. Perfectly golden, crispy crust, with fluffy, pillowy inside. There is a breadth of pastries as well. You can choose from savory to sweet. It satisfies every palate. In addition to this, they have chicken pot pies!! Which are very good! They freeze great and it's a super easy, delicious meal. And if you want a great deli sandwich lunch. Take it to go out eat in. They know what they are doing when it comes to baking and they do it well!!! The key is to order your loaves of bread ahead of time if you want to guarantee getting a loaf. OK, so don't bother going here unless you plan to sin. This place has so many culinary temptations. Let's start with the fact that I was seriously tempted to eat all the flaky goodness off the table from the pastries my wife and I devoured. Just order what the gals at the counter suggest. They know what they're talking about. I love maple bars. The maple croissant thing is like nothing you've ever had. The raspberry situation (see pic) was the best thing on the menu. Do yourself a solid and just do that if you are only getting one thing. Being fairly Seattle-snobbish when it comes to coffee, these guys are doing really good work. Americano. We also had the ham and cheese croissant. It was a nice offering, but I would suggest the sweeter fare. We will be back. We also hear the lunch menu is also fantastic. read more

The secret is definitely out...get here by 9 am if u want to have yummy AND beautiful pastries to choose from or a sour dough loaf to take home (she also has frozen ones you can ask to purchase if u have time to defrost). The sandwiches are our favorite though: HUGE, plan to share unless you're ravenous. MYO sandy by filling out your preferences on a mini clip board by the entrance door: my fave is roast turkey w/ Swiss, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickled red onions & pepperoncinis. You must plan to eat immediately though or the pickled stuff will create a very soggy sandwich (in case you plan to take them on a boat, etc.). For just a few bucks more make it a meal with a bag of Kettle chips and a homemade cookie of the day (to die for). My hubby's favorite is the homemade chicken salad. Service is great, owner is so sweet and have seen her there every time we've come in. (*if u add avocado to your sandwich it's not sliced but a spread, just a heads up). They are closed Monday and Tuesday and usually open 8-2. Heard a rumor they bought adjacent space next door and will eventually expand. read more

This small bakery had the best pastries I have ever tasted. I tried the strawberry cheesecake danish. The girl working behind the counter was so sweet and friendly.
