Ok I was suspicious to see that this was the only place open past 11pm in Chelan on a Wednesday, but I was also very hungry. Wow, just wow. The patio is STUNNING. You can see the sunset, can almost see the water. Gorgeous, brand new furniture, indoor/outdoor patio, string lights, a dream. I could have sat out here ALL DAY. Impressive wine menu, fun cocktail menu, and lots of beers on tap. They have some American food, sometimes with a twist. My partner loved the peanut sauce chicken wings SO much that we went back several times for them. The Indian food...now they don't play about their indian food. Some of the most flavorful stuff I have had. We got paneer tikka masala (which I get frequently at other establishments) and it was SO GOOD. It was so rich and flavorful. We also tried the coconut curry and loved that as well. Generous portions of rice, lots of yummy garlic naan. The service is amazing. We were served by the owner and he is an awesome guy. We even told him that we didn't have a wine opener in our hotel and he let us borrow one for a few hours- just a really stand up guy. Very torn between rating this business a 4* vs. 5* -- really want to give say a 4.5*. Let me explain. The good: It's delicious, it smells INCREDIBLE, and if you're staying in Manson, especially if staying at Wapato Point, it's a short walk for food pick-up -- doesn't get easier than that! Oh, and they're open every day of the week. (Next closest Indian food I believe is in Wenatchee, which if you're in Chelan, is far enough away, let alone being in Manson). Staff also friendly (albeit I've only done take-out). The bad: It's EXPENSIVE! Yes, Indian food *is* expensive, but it's the most expensive than Indian food I've purchased everywhere else (including some major cities including both Denver, CO, and NYC). All-told, I'll give them 5* as their prices are available online and you can make that informed decision for yourself, but again, don't be caught off-guard -- it's EXPENSIVE!!!! read more

For Indian food near Chelan, this is a great find. We were grateful to discover the restaurant has a nice selection of beers, and the service was helpful with recommendations. We ordered the vegetarian dum aloo, which was decent, but prepared differently than we've had it before. We preferred the vegetarian mango curry, which was on the sweeter side but pretty good. My dad was a fan of the chicken tikka masala, and it was a bonus that all our entrees came with rice. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. While we enjoyed the food and service, I did find the prices to be quite high. read more

Twisted Cork is now on my chelan must-hit list. Nice location in Manson with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Was there on a summer weekday, patio was fully open with live music, mix of folks having a beer and apps, some for dinner & watching the baseball game. Now for the food, this is some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Rivals London Indian food, which is saying a lot. They have both an Indian menu and American menu, for those who want to have a mix of both or are less adventurous. Great for families to appease all appetites and tastes. Full bar, nice staff. In October '24 this business changed hands. It's now run by Indian owners. We live 80% in Redmond where Indian food is amazing. We travel to major cities extensively for work and Indian food is our favorite cuisine. We have high standards and this restaurant surpassed our expectations. The veg samosas were fresh, crispy, and the filling was spicy and potatoes perfectly cooked. The butter chicken (3 stars) was tender and filled with spicy flavor. Not greasy. We had naan, which was light and fluffy. The rice that came with our entree had a light turmeric with fresh herbs. Delicious! The restaurant is well staffed (not easy in Manson), and staff was friendly and attentive. We sat on the covered patio outside, and they offered our dog fresh, cold water. Service was attentive, helpful and friendly. We started with Twisted Samosa Chana Chat, which I would describe as smothered Samosas with amazing sauce, and also had the Veggie Pecora. Both were so different from one another and so flavorful. Then, of course, we had the Chicken Tiki Masala, a-plus, and Naan. Staying at Wapato Point in Manson, we rambled on in to Twisted Cork on a Tuesday night to find a relaxed, clean and professional taproom with great food, lovely service and a friendly vibe with good live music. The taproom is new and the owner was running the bar with his lovely wife and sister in law serving tables. It was Icicle Brewing Takeover night with 4 beers from Icicle in Leavenworth to try, and a raffle for Icicle merch. Nice! Musician Jeff McLaren was playing cover tunes. It was a great bonus. Service was prompt and friendly. We started with the shrimp cocktail as an app; large, tender and cooked perfectly with NO tails on (thank you)! Hubby had the special; a Mahi Mahi special with mango chutney with rice and a avocado mousse. I had the shrimp tacos with guacamole and sour cream. The owner was chatty and shared some great plans for wine and beer events in the coming months. Stopped in at the Twisted Cork tonight for dinner. We ordered the Cheeseburgers, Reuben sandwich and then pub Mac and Cheese. The Reuben was good but needed more Russian dressing and more sauerkraut. But it was very tasty!!! One friend said her cheeseburger was fairly salty. The pub Mac and cheese was ok but had onions in it and she doesn't like onions. Service was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area Cidery and winery. I had the Two Town hard cider made with Cosmic Crisp apples and it was Tropical flavored with Passionfruit and hibiscus. Truly one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I love Indian food and can be rather selective.... Growing up in Canada, being exposed to many Indian restaurants, and having my best friend's Mom cook authentic dishes for me frankly spoiled me. Today, we ordered the Samosas - a favorite of mine and my kiddos, and they were perfectly spiced and delicious. The mint chutney was balanced and fresh. Followed with the Lamb Korma (my go to). I asked for a spice level of 4, and it was perfect for me (I like it hot) but the gravy was rich and again, perfectly spiced and balanced.... The garlic naan and cool raita made a lovely accompaniment. I am excited to try the other dishes in the future, but encourage anyone to give Twisted Cork a try. read more

On October 28, 2024, while staying in Lake Chelan we decided to take a little drive to Manson in search of a restaurant that would serve something out of the ordinary from the usual options in the immediate area. I pulled up the Twisted Cork and Taphouse on my app and took a look at their menu. I was very surprised to see that they serve authentic Indian food. Being a huge fan of Indian cuisine we opted to give it a try. We arrived at about 6:00pm. The restaurant was quiet but there was evidence there had been several people there just before we arrived. The restaurant, while small, is very nice and very comfortable. There is a bar and tables in the dining room area. Off to the right there is a private area that may or may not be available to the public, possibly a private group area. We perused the menu, both available on paper or QR code and settled on vegetable Samosas, Butter chicken and Naan. I prefer plain naan while my dining partner prefers garlic naan. The food arrived in a very short amount of time and was served hot with a nice amount of rice served separately. The samosas (2) were large and served with a wonderful mint/ jalapeno and tamarind sauce on the side. The samosas, filled with potatoes and peas were delicious and the tamarind sauce was the best I have ever had. The mint/ jalapeno sauce was delicious but not unlike other mint/ jalapeno sauces I have tried which was perfect and it was cool and refreshing. The butter chicken was done to perfection. Chicken was tender and moist. The sauce was thick and had the perfect amount of spice as to compliment the meal without overpowering. Heat can be adjusted from 1-5 upon request. While eating the head chef came out to check on us. He informed us the restaurant had just opened a couple of weeks prior with the new addition of Indian cuisine was added to compliment the previous owners menu of Taphouse food. We chatted a bit with us telling him we often dine at Indian restaurants. He told us he was developing two curry dishes, one beef and one pork. He asked us if we would taste both and give an honest review. Since food reviews is what I do, I told him I would be happy to do this. Moments later, he brought out two small pieces of each the beef and pork curry, even taking a moment to add a little bit of cilantro garnish on top. Nice touch Chef! Both the pork and beef were at about a "3" in heat but can be adjusted. The beef delicious and needed a little more " cook time " as it wasn't as tender as it should be. The chef agreed and said it wasn't ready for serving but still wanted our opinion. He assured me it would be tender when served to the public. The pork on the other hand was melt in your mouth tender. He said we could expect the beef to be the same. Both were absolutely delightful. Much different than the butter chicken but again, the spices were perfectly married and the aroma was outstanding. All four dishes are 10/10. I also ordered Chai. A large mug was brought, unsweetened but with a small bowl of sugar so I could adjust for my taste. The Chai was warm and soothing on a cold evening. I always order Chai when offered and this was a perfect compliment to the food. The owner, Kuldeep Singh, came out, introduced himself and chatted with us as well. Turns out they had both been chefs at two of our favorite Indian restaurants in the Seattle area. That tracks. They broke off and opened their own place and I must say, I think they are going to be very successful as soon as the word gets out. I only wish we lived closer. Four hours is a bit of a drive but I can assure you, next time we stay in Lake Chelan we will definitely take the ten minute drive to Mason and have dinner with them again. Best of luck to you. This was the best Indian food I have had in a very long time. Every dish had its own unique flavor. We were a family of 9 who came in rather close to closing time, but we were met with wonderful service, and a very delish banquet. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We've been here several times now and really enjoy it. Only once was it too busy that we ended up leaving. Tonight is Tap Takeover from Kettle House from Mousula MT. Their beer is really good. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and loved it. It came with six large shrimp on top of homemade cocktail sauce which was downright delicious. I'd definitely get that again. They have also been wonderful to my husband who had a really bad back and needs a low chair so he can't stretch out his leg. The last two times we've been here they have brought out a small table from the back room to give us so he's comfortable. To me, that's AMAZING customer service. Thank you so much! Good sides of raita and other sauces. They even had pompadoms and brought out several servings before our food arrived. Maybe a bit pricey but hey- good Indian food in Manson? Worth it! Hey, I normally DO NOT leave bad reviews and I always give the restaurant the benefit of doubt. This is my 4th time coming in. Please note, I've worked in the restaurant business both front and back for many years, I can speak how it is. But let me tell you. Our waitress was wonderful and I definitely understand how crazy it can be. We understood how our order came to be and I paid the entire bill without complaints. I DID NOT complain, maybe my guests, but not me. And let me tell you where it went down hill, a woman came up and told our waitress, "That table need their bill.". Mind you, our waitress was just talking to us, past beyond the billing issue. And then proceeding to make it a big deal even though I just paid the bill and signed it. I had to walk out because i was annoyed and yet I was paying the bill, but ignored me. At this point, that was my last time coming to this restaurant. I wish them the best. I don't know why this place is rated so low. It was packed poppin in here when my party of 10 arrived. Food was on point, drinks were good & service was beyond amazing. We ordered 2 shrimp curries, 2 gyros, 2 kids quesadillas, a reuben, shrimp tacos & the twisted chicken flatbread. Of course we ordered some alcoholic beverages & the drinks were bomb but my Cosmopolitan was kinda weak in alcohol, but that's my only complaint. 2024/07/12. The food was good enough -- I ordered the Chicken Street Tacos -- but the service was bare minimum. For this, I can hardly blame our server. The menu isn't very big, either. This would be fine if they at least had more diversity in their selection. All sandwiches are $20+. I first asked if I could have a "Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger", which is $22, without the bacon, because I'm a Muslim, and for a slightly reduced cost. To this, the server told me that it would still cost the same without the bacon. I'm sorry, but... in this economy? Meat is where the money is. If there's an alienable, expensive component that I'm not getting, I expect a reasonable price reduction. Or, more easily for the business owner, they should have a "Add Bacon (+$XYZ)" like most restaurants do. They also offered no dessert menu. We were so excited to have an Indian restaurant in the area. The vegetable samosa was really good, so we had high hopes. We also ordered the chicken masala and butter chicken. The chicken tasted like it was cooked previously and they microwaved to heat it up to serve to us. It had a funky flavor. The sauce was good. The other surprise was how expensive it was. This place was walking distance from the hotel where we were staying, so a group of us decided to come here for dinner. It should be noted that there are not many restaurant/bar dining locations in Manson, so this was one of the only places in town unless we wanted to drive to Chelan. When we dined here in the summer of 2023, Twisted Cork and Taphouse looked like it had only opened recently. The location was very inviting, with an outdoor fenced-in area that had plenty of tables and seating shaded by sun umbrellas, and an open-air (garage door-style) indoor location with bar seating and high-seated tables. The service we received was decent, so that was appreciated. The food was not satisfying, though, especially for what we were paying: Kids Mac & Cheese ($8), Hot Dog Sliders ($10), Flatbread Pizza ($20), and Caesar Salad ($14). The flatbread pizzas were the worst offenders in terms of what we got vs. what we paid. They tasted like poor-quality microwaveable food, and it was insulting that we were paying $20/pizza for something no bigger than a personal-size option. Even the desserts were a let-down: Kids Scoop of Ice Cream ($5), Slice of Cheesecake ($8) and a Root Beer Float ($10). The proportions for all these items were even smaller than you'd expect, and the presentation/taste was lacking. The root beer float, for instance, only had one tiny scoop of ice cream and the root beer came from a can (not on-tap). Our total bill for a party of 7 (4 adults; 3 kids) who only purchased two alcoholic drinks ($7.50 x 2) and shared a number of entrees came to just under $150. It's definitely a nice establishment to look at, but I wouldn't recommend coming here to eat anything. read more

We finally got to try out Twisted Cork! Took some friends that were in town to try it out. Everything was great from service to meals We had chicken wings for appetizers that were really good! My wife had a wedge salad that was delicious, fresh and a great portion. I Ended up getting the beef street tacos that were real tasty. Our friends both got the Chicken sandwich and they loved it, only complaint was they sandwich came with potato chips but they would have liked fry's All and all it was a great meal and experience and we will definitely be back! Our visit was on 7/13/2023. In a nutshell, the food was great, our server (Kaitlyn) was AWESOME! but the other staff members were not friendly. We were in the area for a concert and decided to go here for dinner. Upon arrival, three people turned and looked at us then turned away, then, about two minutes later, one of them sat us. My daughter had a bump-in with one of the other servers and the server spilled some of the beer she was carrying. My daughter immediately apologized never once did the server acknowledge her, even when she was cleaning up the spilt beer. When someone other than our server delivered us our wine (two different kinds) and we asked which one was which, the look, the attitude...eesh! Our food arrived and it was delicious. Funny reading the reviews before posting this and someone had the exact same experience on the same day so I'm hoping it was just a bad night for these individuals (come to find out they are the owners!)
