I usually have a good experience here but today they are just giving me all kinds of issues using a coupon that is clearly for the product that I am trying to purchase. So I stand here waiting while everyone runs around trying to get a coupon approved. It is a little annoying to say the least. The outcome? I can use the coupon. So I am glad they let me use it, just not happy I had to wait around for fifteen minutes for them to decide. read more

I love having this store in my neighborhood! I live right down the street from it so the convenience factor is huge. I see lots of folks complaining about the prices but between just for u digital coupons, manufacturers' coupons, and Von's sales, you can find everything you need at good prices. I went last night and saved over $40 on my grocery bill as well as received 40 cents off per gallon on my gas! I have never liked having to drive down to Stater Brothers at Cajalco and I really don't like Stater Brothers. Sometimes I would just drive over to Albertson's in Lake Elsinore just to avoid Stater Brothers. So needless to say, I am thrilled that Von's is in my neighborhood. Thank you Von's for great selection, savings, and gas! And a special thank you to all the great staff that works there. I am always greeted with a smile and offered assistance every time I shop there. read more

The customer service here is hit or miss. The service deli is slow. Seems as though all of the workers in this department hang out in the back kitchen area. They're always consumed with doing their assigned tasks (there are not always enough workers-in their defense)-at the expense of customer service. I know they can see customers waiting near the register. They just chose to ignore them. Most everyone seems lazy and slow. The service deli manager seems to feel she's too good to help out-when they're busier. Sandwiches are usually good, though (certain service deli employees make better sandwiches than others do). There's one worker who's probably able to their job, because of their union (many mistakes). The Starbucks Kiosk is even worse! Major attitude there (not the hardest job). Today, i was accused of not paying for a deli sandwich, when, the Starbucks employee in question even saw me at the service deli. I had the receipt on the table (brought the sandwich with me-so it would not be taken). She told me I didn't have to bring the receipt back to show her, but, I did just to spite her. She then proceeded to overfill my beverage (and forgot to add the sweetener and half and half I'd requested-is an option to add these BTW). Then these kiosk employees talk about customers amongst themselves-right in front of them! Do not think you wanna be baristas will retire comfortable on what you're paid there. there's another employee at this kiosk that is a Debbie Downer. Is best to not converse with her-when she's working. This Starbucks charges 5 cents more per beverage, than the Starbucks in the same plaza (literally 5 stores away from Vons). Their saving grace is that many shoppers will get their Starbucks beverage @ Vons to add to their gas rewards, and, the baristas at the other Starbucks location are not the best, nor always the friendliest (they seem to have different personality traits-dependent upon the day of the week). Not many other choices for Starbucks in the area, though, as this plaza is in the middle of nowhere. Vons prices overall are on the higher end. The just for U is not always what it's cracked up to be. The only redeeming value is once can really save on their gas fill ups-if they shop a lot here. Basically a trade off. read more

THEY OVERCHARGE your card. I spent $35 something on gas and then my creditcard statement says $39.00. The pending charge 2 days earlier said $125.00! SAVE your receipt. I made the mistake of saying no this time so now I don't have proof. read more

NOT a von's. Its small, don't expect the same things on the shelf you'd find at the store at magnolia/ontario in Corona. It also seems to suffer leadership/management issues, ie, the staff isn't clear on the requirements for serving customers. I've attempted to state my dissatisfaction twice in the past and today the clerk walked away from me in mid-setence. OK, maybe you have something more important to attend to, like another customer, but the store manager heard me, he was sitting at the Starbucks tables. Were you on a break? Did I disturb it? Have your heard too many customers say the same thing? Are your hands tied? Possibly by the regional stiffs? What was my beef? Why is it so hard to get what I need at this Von's? That was my question. Instead of asking for specifics, I was ignored. Nice. Was I loud or offensive? No. Just frustrated. Oh yeah, the meat quality is horrible. High prices, low quality. Butchers? That's an honorific title reserved for employees who are knowledgeable, helpful, and committed to product quality and excellent service. I believe that Von's HQ wants this location to die. I hope they get their wish so a real grocery can swoop in and provide for the community. One last thing, parking is a joke, I acknowledge that Von's can't be blamed for this. Regardless, unless you drive a forklift, parking is a pain. read more

Prices can be a little higher on some items. Gas prices usually are lower (no real competition, though, in Temescal Valley. AM/PM is about it). Produce selection is just OK. Starbucks kiosk staff are almost always pleasant and friendly. Actually, most of the store staff are pleasant. There are a few workers up in the front of the store that seem to have fluctuating moods (yes, we customers can overhear you talking about us. It's not as if these are higher skilled labor type positions to begin with + cashiering dos not require any special skill sets. Yes, it's still a tough job market out here. but, you can always apply elsewhere, if you're that unhappy working there). Restrooms are not always clean. read more

Vons in the Temescal Valley is just an average overpriced grocery store. I only shop there because I live right up the street. The employees are nice and there are deals to be found if you use the JustForYou online thing. The very best deal is he soda refill at the gas station ($0.85). read more

I went into vons thinking I'd have great service I didn't a cashier threw my cash at me also she was in a rush for some odd reason when there was only one person behind me and she just started throwing my groceries so another worker can bag them even the worker who had to bag the items told the cashier to relax because that's how bad she was throwing my groceries.. I have shopped here for awhile now, but I have to say, I just love this store over any other. The reason, the staff! I actually love one in particular. I dont know his name, but he is in charge of the dairy section of the store. Super friendly young guy, always helpful, and very easy on the eyes! :) You must stop in an look for this young man! I come here quite often for gas. I like Vons gas because they usually have the lowest gas prices around, and they don't charge for using debit. In fact, you get a better bargain for using ur debit or cash. I love that you can pull up to any pump and put gas regardless of what side your tank is. I love that the Vons gas stations have hoses that pull out so you can pump gas on either side of your car. Unfortunately a lot of people don't get this and ignore the "do not enter" signs that are posted everywhere. This causes delay. I do not recommend coming here if you're in a hurry and it's early morning or late afternoon. There is usually a line going out into the parking lot by this time. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a question once about one of their products, and the gentleman behind the counter talked about his experience with this product, and different brands he had used. He even told me where I could get the product he recommended. read more
