I was paying with cash and they have a price for gas if you pay cash, but I also was using Rewards because I shop at Vons. The rep was kind enough to set up the transaction. Prices are comparable to others in the area and fluctuates depending on the time of year. When I recently visited it was $4.79 a gallon for regular. It's a little cheaper here, so if you usually go to a different Shell, but find yourself closer to this location, don't hesitate to come here. This is one of several Shells in the City of Long Beach, but has boasted cheaper prices as of late. You can find them on the southeast corner of Palo Verde and Atherton, about a block south and west of the 405 freeway. The first time I went, I had seen GasBuddy show a price that was about 10 to 15 cents lower than what it really was, which was quite disappointing. However, even with the somewhat (or grossly in this day and age lol) elevated pricing, it was still cheaper than the other Shell stations around town. You can also accrue even more savings when you have Ralphs rewards as this station is a participating Shell station to redeem your fuel points here; 100 points* can save you 10 cents per gallon, and you can redeem up to 1,000 points in one transaction. On my second visit, I went just after 6 PM, and there was a sign on the front door of the food mart saying they were on a lunch break until 6:30 PM. That's not called dinner? lol but anyways, I really had to hope that the pump would print out the receipt because I really didn't want to wait 20+ minutes just for one receipt lol. Luckily, the receipt printed. On my third visit, I had forgotten that the pumps were on an elevated surface, so I came super mega close to hitting my tire with the step. However, when I exited my car, it made getting out a little uncomfortable as I had to step upwards to access the fuel pump. There is a food mart in the middle of the gas station, and on either side of the food mart is 4 pumps. Unlike the other Shell station I used to frequent, this one actually has a car wash, but I've not used it, so I can't comment on how good (or bad) this car wash really is. They ask you upon paying for fuel if you'd like a car wash or not. Some stations might charge less for fuel if you elect to add a car wash to your transaction at the pump. Most stations around town charge 10 cents more per gallon if you use credit/debit. However, the price remains the same regardless of payment method or your choice of car wash; keep racking up those credit card rewards! * I recently learned that when you have 100 fuel points from Ralphs, you can actually redeem them for $1 off your next purchase. This would be the better option unless you're pumping more than 10 gallons at Shell, but even so, Shell is not a participating gas merchant with Upside; unless that were to happen sometime in the foreseeable future, my visits to Shell may now very well be history.

I purchased a Pokémon Mega Evolution, Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box from this gas station, and it was blindingly obvious that someone had opened it beforehand and sealed it back up. As shown in picture two, the corner of the player's guide manual was heavily folded and creased, which never happens with a brand new, factory sealed product. Furthermore, looking at picture one, the included collectible coin was completely scratched up right out of the box. Someone clearly pre-opened this box, rummaged through it, and resealed it. When I called the store to report that they were distributing tampered products, they flat out refused to cooperate and stated they do not do refunds. I told the employee directly that I am filing a chargeback with my bank. Do not trust this establishment with collectibles. They are selling used, tampered goods as new and will refuse to take any responsibility when you call them out on it.
