long lines. way past time to put in self-checkout. since i can't pay at the bakery for my fried chicken, i have to wait forever.

This is the worst grocery store I have ever shopped at and the selection is horrible. When they do have popular items they replace them with things nobody buys forcing us to shop at the one in Oxnard instead. Sorry Barney, but although there is no Panda Express in the store there is one in the same shopping center where blockbuster used to be at the end. People who have only been to a store a few times shouldn't be reviewing them as opposed to those of us who live with it daily. Vons Santa Paula needs to get a control on the shopping carts that lock up on you when your taking your groceries, Be careful or you will get stuck in the middle of the road,, the carts have sensors and if you park across the east parking side it will stop suddenly and hit your chest and cause injury if your not aware of this.. read more

This is hands down the worst VONS I have ever been to. Always out of mainstays like milk and bread etc..... Also the employees spend most of their time visiting with friends and complaining about previous customers. I am always charged wrong and many times have to return stale bakery items, bad meat spoiled dairy....... You get the picture. Also the aisles are so crowded with side stacks 2 people can barely fit. Its like an obstacle course. And whats up with the chips and soda way over to the left by the bank?Its a huge cluster #*@! over there! The soda aisle is a nightmare. Management isn't very good but the store does have some very friendly happy workers. The deli workers tend to be alone a lot and seem to never be able to catch a break. Being that I myself have worked in a service deli I know what goes into the everyday expectations. From having to get all the food out in a timely manner helping all customers and making sure their area is clean all before they go to lunch before they get a lunch violation. I've shopped at this store my entire life and I'm the past 6 months to a year have almost never heard the deli workers being complimented by management. Making it probably not a fun place to be. Service would probably be better if employees were appreciated and treated with respect and spoke to like real human beings. read more

It is my wife's birthday I wasn't sure what kind of flowers I wanted to get to get for her Jill and Shirley in the floral department made me feel so welcome and I had a great time getting the perfect bouquet of flowers for my wife I will always go to Vons from now on I rate them a 10 they're amazing read more

Absolute worst grocery store. Shop Albertsons on Telegraph. They will have what you need any time of the day or night. The Santa Paula Vons has terrible customer service, from the management on down. Because it is the only brand name store in town, they can't keep the shelves stocked and don't try. They are worse than major insurance companies who have zero sympathy for there customers. Boycott Vons Santa Paula. I try to avoid the Vons store in Santa Paula CA, due to poor management. Because this is the only brand name store in Santa Paula you would think that they would keep departments open after 7pm. Also the major problem is the ordering. The store is always out of important items. It's the only store that is in the Lemon Capital of the World that can run out of lemons. Basically that is how I feel about the store, it's a lemon. I was in on 01/26/11 and went in to grab a steak. Ribeye was on sale but the employees and the supervisor did not know it was. Of course when I got to the store they were out of the sale on the boneless for $6.99. After asking the uninformed person in the meat department if they were on sale taking him 5 minutes to find out he said yes but they don't have any. So I proceeded to the front of the store to ask the manager on duty if I could buy the bone in for the sale price. As I reached the front of the store I asked for the supervisor and was pointed to an asian woman in a white shirt. I approached her to ask about the meat, I said you have ribeye on sale but before I could finish my sentence she said, I don't know whatever is back there is what we have in a very rude and unhelpful voice like she was blowing me off . To which I replied what do you mean you don't know your the supervisor you should know and then I left the store. This is the customer service from the management. The worst experience I have ever had in a grocery store and from the manager no less. I went to albertsons and had a great experience. $4.99 for ribeye too. I try not to shop at that store and only go when I really need something. I would say 50% of the time it's not on the shelf and the staff doesn't care. read more

Worse customer service ever . A lady who seemed to have a great deal of mental issues and was obviously employed by this Vons was gathering carts in the parking lot hit my brand new car with one of the shopping carts . When i said " Hey " she started yelling at me as if it was my fault and began calling me names . Now nothing would of occured of this matter and it would never of been reported had she had not called me derogatory names but she did . I then went inside and spoke to the Manager who practically laughed in my face about what had occurred . Her explanation - she's mentally challenged and that was her excuse . I then wrote the Corporate offices of Vons . Their reply - " we will look into this " . That was the last i heard, they did nothing . Two weeks later she's still working there . Be forewarned : BE CAREFUL WHEN PARKING THERE . CHECK YOUR VEHICLE FOR DAMAGES AFTER SHOPPING OR BETTER YET, STAY CLEAR OF THIS VON'S . read more
