Had to make an appoinment two weeks out, which was fine with me. But they sure as hell don't know how to run a business!

We were on a two-car trip from Arizona to Seattle when every warning light on our Subaru Forester…read morestarted flashing. It happened at a very difficult time and place, about 150 miles east of St. George and in a snow storm. We stopped in Kanab for an engine test and were told that the transmission had developed a problem that would disable the All-Wheel-Drive. We were told that driving to St. George would not cause further damage to the transmission but the snow storm, without all-wheel-drive, resulted in a very cautious drive to St. George. We called ahead to St. George Transmission and they were familiar with that particular Subaru problem and they had the parts in stock. We decided that our other car, a Ford Transit 350 van handled even worse than the Subaru so while St. George Transmission fixed the Subaru, we had Snow tires put on the van. We have fond memories of St. George and, especially of St. George Transmission. They made our Forester safe to drive, even though the snow storm got worse as we drove on to Seattle. Great company and staff is very knowledgeable in Subaru transmission problems.

Have been a faithful JLM customer and have recommended them more times than I can count. Before…read morenow, I never trusted anyone else with my car. Until today. First it started with falling right in front of their front door. There is a ramp there that I tripped on and fell. Many men (I am a woman) saw it, workers of JLM, not one came to say hey ma'am, are you ok. Can we help you off the ground. Nothing. I get up and walk in and the guy was like you're the second one this week to fall there, I was like well you think you would do something about that then. I talked to Jonathan (owner) and he never said I'm so sorry, etc., told him not one person came to help and all he did is explain to me they weren't sure what to do with that ramp, they put a red line on it and then moved the plants outside to the ramp edge. My car appointment was because my car was giving a check engine light, and Auto Zone ran the code and it was an emission valve (free of charge). I got there at 9 and was told they can run a test for $189 that should verify if that is the cause. At 1030, I was told the first test didn't give any info and they wanted to do another test for $84. I approved it, and went across the street to the chiropractor for the pain of the fall. 1:45 PM, no call or text, I call them and was told they didn't have time to do the other test and can maybe do it Monday and I can leave it or come get it. I took the day off work for all this. I go back, talk to Jonathan again and explained the whole thing, now I'm out the $189 for a test that told me NO MORE than what AutoZone told me for free, in addition to a $75 chiropractor appointment and scrapes and bruises and not one ounce of empathy, to be told I can bring it back another day for another test and basically my car still isn't fixed. Due to the ZERO empathy, not even a "I'm sorry" or can we cover your chiro appointment, and the endless testing with no result and not even having the courtesy to call me, I will NEVER bring my car to them and will tell everyone who asks this story so they also don't get scammed. Hope if you go there, your experience is better than mine. It's sad that they would treat a loyal customer this way. I was hopeful talking the the owner I would at least get some empathy and maybe some compensation for the horrendous experience, but nope, just a receipt, bruises, scrapes, and a car that still needs to be fixed $300 later...
