A cool place, but DO NOT eat their food. A friend and I took our sons to VR1 arcade on Saturday March 22nd. I really wanted to love it as my son was so looking forward to it. When we got there we had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to clean off booths for us. This wasn't a big issue as my friend and her son's were late. They never gave clear instructions on how the kids could play together, maybe they assume kids already know how to use the VR headsets. We decided to order food since we were there from about 5:00 to 7:00. We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and fries. The fries tasted air fried. Not a big issue, but kind of odd. My friend ordered a rootbeer float for her son. We had to ask about it and maybe 30 minutes later we got it. The cheese pizza was ok, but even my 11 year old said it wasn't very good. It also seemed airfried. My friend and I shared an order of chicken wings....big mistake. They tasted ok after waiting a while to arrive, but both of us got terrible food poisoning from them. I was throwing up all night and Sunday. I finally am feeling a little better today, Monday the 24th. My friend called the arcade on Sunday to let them know. She talked to the owner, Andrew. Upon hearing of this, she was simply told thank you for bringing it to his attention!! Not a very apologetic response to two patrons getting food poisoning from his establishment. My Hubby stumbled upon an ad for this place, while grabbing a bite to eat at a downtown restaurant. On a whim, we decided to check it out for a date night. We called ahead and reserved 2 spots. Upon arriving and understanding the set up, I would strongly encourage reservations. There are a limited number of stations, 1 person per station, and the average person rents a station for a hour. This is a virtual reality arcade. Meaning you put on virtual reality goggles, hold special controllers and play different types of video games. As it was our first visit, we were given a full tutorial on the rules and how to operate the equipment. Once geared up, we were put into a tutorial and then guided on how to play some fun, easy games to get a feel for the equipment. The employees were also able to talk to us through a headset and tell us how to navigate and troubleshoot when we got stuck. I have to say, I was blown away by the whole experience. It's like you are literally in the game. Like you got teleported into another reality. After we played for awhile, we were shown how to pair up and play together in a game. Next thing I know, we are working together to take out cyborgs. I could physically see my husband's character and we could talk to each other on our headsets. Soooooo cool! I was ducking down behind barriers, shooting from a kneeling position, jumping, you name it and my character would mimic the behavior. It's actually quite the workout, if you really get into it. We loved it so much, we brought family visiting to give it a go. They too thought it was mind blowing. They charge per hour, per booth. So you could share a booth with someone and switch off if you want. Personally, I think a hour goes by in a flash. Some people do experience some level of motion sickness. I was worried I might, but didn't have any issues. It's just quite a trip for your eyes and brain to process, which can lead to feeling queasy. I did feel a little disoriented for about an hour afterwards. But nothing too bothersome. They do have an age limit of 7, which is actually lower than other arcades, I am told (12 is the norm). It has to do mainly with height. The equipment is programmed at a height requirement. If you are under the minimum it can't pick up your moves properly. I would also say, the controls are a bit bulky and have multiple buttons to operate. A younger person may have some frustration trying to operate these fluently. Totally worth the experience! Took my kids (9 and 12) to this new arcade in Eagle on the first day of summer break. It was 95 degrees so I was looking for a place out of the sun, Plus I have been intrigued by this place since it opened back in February. Brandan, the owner, was incredibly helpful. He spent time with me and the kids walking us through how to use the equipment. He and his staff were available the entire time for questions. It was much easier than I thought it would be. My youngest picked it up right away. There are tons of game options for both ages. The Google Earth exploration is really cool. Though as someone afraid of heights, jumping off the plank probably wasn't the best idea lol Both kids LOVED it. A great hour of them using their brains to figure out how to maneuver in the game. You can have the kids switch out in one station to keep the costs down. It is $25/hour for one station. I would spend more than that at Grinkers. This is WAY cooler! Great and unique treat for the kids. I want to come back with the hubby for a date night :) read more

This is such an awesome place!! I love it sooooo much! My favorite game is Raw Data and I highly recommend it! This place is very fun and I also like job simulator.... I suggest this place for just hanging out and relaxing and also if you want a fun exciting time, this place is perfect! All of the games are super fun and I hope you all will try them out! Soooooo much fun! When it works. It is currently 83 degrees inside the shop and my unit quit working. Computers don't like heat, duh. So I reserved an hour and got about 5 mins. Not fun. They were nice enough to credit me my hour back and the staff are super nice. But really?? Fix the AC issues, please! 5 stars if you fix it. UPDATE: So much fun. Just visited this place over the weekend with my two boys and wife. We let the boys try it out for an hour long session each and they loved it. In fact they are going back tomorrow as they liked it so much. The staff that was working there was awesome. All three were very helpful in the entire process. We have never been to a VR arcade let alone really used a VR system so we were all new to the system. They setup both boys in their own area and helped them thru the tutorial which only takes about 5 min. Then they were off in VR world selecting from 100s of games to play. There seems to be a lot of choices to choose from which is great. No way we can play them in all in one session let alone 5 sessions. So lots of new things to explore each time we come back. The viewing area for my wife and I was good. It was 96 degrees outside but inside it was super comfortable. And those PCs they have will be kicking out a lot of heat with the hardware they are running so they have the proper temperature figured it out seems to manage the people and the hardware. There are mounted TVs outside each playing area so the wife and could watch what each boy was doing. So it was fun to watch them experience it with them. Overall its a must try if you have not done. Pretty interesting experience to say the least. You don't have to be a 'gamer' to want to try this. Thanks again for the fun time. read more

This VR arcade was excellent. I took my two young sons to try VR for the first time. I felt like the staff went above and beyond to make their first experience fun and memorable. My boys learned about new technology, experienced what it's like to be immersed in VR, and the we had a great conversation about - to use the words of my 8 yr old - "when the real-world feels fake and VR feels real." That was an interesting conversation, but the younger generations will be much closer to this technology than I will, so understanding it in a fun environment was a nice experience for them and I. My only feedback is that the price is expensive. My boys and I will go back, but this will have to be a big "treat" type activity vs something we do weekly or monthly. Hopefully, over time as the tech evolves the prices for suppliers and customers will come down. Otherwise, it was a fun experience and we'll be back. read more
