Upon entering the Riverside branch, I was greeted in a professional manner and appreciated the music and warm atmosphere. I needed to replace my debit card after losing my previous one. The teller informed me that the system for producing cards was down; however, the San Marco (Hendricks) branch could assist me with my request. The San Marco branch was very helpful and resolved my issue, thanks to Vanessa Akans. However, I found it concerning that the Riverside branch had been experiencing a problem with card production for about a week, while the Hendricks branch was able to resolve my issue in just a few hours. The absolute worst bank I've ever worked with. It is nothing but issue after issue with this company. I can't wait to be finished with this car loan so I can leave Vystar for good! HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME! Simple things like resetting a password requires a miracle to take place. The website doesn't work to do it, I have to call in to do it. I pay my car loan by going institute to institute (bc I stopped banking w/vystar bc of the awful service) anyway they never took the money out even after sending a verification code VERIFYING THAT I WANT TO MAKE THE TRANSFER. I've been paying the car loan this way for about a year and suddenly there's a problem ? Typical vystar behavior. I hate that I ever started with this company. Banked with vystar for 12 years , I lost all respect after they botched a deferment for 2 payments, they cancelled my CC! with no notice and especially disturbing is how they gave me no notice on CC but set up a deferment with no problem? They admitted wrong doing but still accepted no responsibility? If they had notfied me id of gladly paid the two payments of 133.oo They have now turned over to the credit bureau! I can't speak with anyone that is willing to look into this debacle except a VP of Member solutions that admitted they made an error but not the CC !! Insanity!! You can't make this stuff up!! Like their add says, "They never forget it's your money". Great rates on used and new car loans as well as mortgages. Friendly and helpful employees. Atm machines and branches located throughout the city. I've been doing business with them since 1983 and haven't really had any bad experiences, that I recall. Ohhhhh.... well, there was one thing. When I refinanced my home, the process did take a lot longer than they originally said. I had to call and keep on them to speed up the process. This branch has been open for a couple of years and I wasn't even aware it was here until yesterday when I found myself in the area and needed a branch close to me. Thanks to Yelp, I found it easily enough. I was also very happy to find this particular branch is one of the Vystar locations that is open on Saturdays until 3pm. They have maintained it very well over the past two years. It still looks brand new... like it only just opened days before. Even though it's in Riverside (where parking can often be a problem), there's plenty of parking available. Rather than utilize the drive-thru, we went inside the lobby. There was only one teller working the lobby and they were pretty busy. There was about a 15 minute wait to get to the teller. She was really friendly and our transaction went smoothly. I do wish they would have had at least one other teller working so the line would have moved more quickly. This is the reason I deducted one star. I also noticed while waiting in line there was only one teller working the drive-thru. It seemed to be moving pretty slowly as well. Can't say that I blame the tellers. There's only so much one person can do. IMHO, Vystar needs to bring in a couple of more tellers on Saturdays. Then again, this is the one and only time I have been to this branch, so it's possible they had some people out sick? All in all, a great experience. read more

We have been members of VyStar credit Union since 2000. We moved out of the area in 2005 back to Tampa where we are originally from. We kept all of our information still current with VyStar as we thought they were a great credit union and were always so Friendly and easy to work with. Unfortunately, our circumstances with customer service since we're out of the area has changed drastically. I call to discuss things with my account and I received no callbacks. I have had multiple issues with my account , money being drafted out of my account without my permission from the bank, I asked for callbacks from supervisors by the name of Tanner Neal that I've been waiting on a phone call for three days and has yet to return my phone call. Prior to being given this managers information I was told that it was against their policy to give out any managers names. The young lady, I spoke to yesterday, disagreed and said that is not their protocol, it's only when you get the agent that knows they're treating you poorly will refuse to give you information, in order to move forward to get our accounts resolved. I knew the CEO when I lived in Jacksonville and the bank was run so professionally and very family oriented, not anymore. We have suffered from damage from the hurricane and we had no power for several days. Left me making one of my payments late which I drafted immediately when my Internet was turned back on , so they double drafted it when I try to get it corrected.I was treated like a criminal. My advice if you're shopping for banks, I would be very leery of banking with this institution. You become a number and you will never talk to a live person that will treat you the way you should be treated and they're holding your financial funds, I feel this needs to be shared, there's so much fraud these days you have to be cautious of where you keep your money- I am not one to post on Yelp often but unfortunately it's pretty sad. I am so sick fed up with Vystar that this was the final straw. Mobile banking does not allow you to make internal transfers between member accounts. SO you either have to call to speak to a representative (usually 30 minutes) or use Zelle. This update for banking really sucks. This is the second time the IT department has taken management for a ride. No bill payer for over a week and a two day down time for an update turns into 4 days and don't know when the "IMPROVED" version will be complete. He was so helpful and patient and responded quickly when we were working through the process. He had to work with my husband and I who both have very busy jobs - and he would text us, call or email just to ensure everything was going smoothly. We had an appointment scheduled for 11am to open a business account. At 10 minutes after, our rep Ms Mixon came strolling through and told us to give her a few minutes to get logged on to her computer. We finally get in her office where she requested our paperwork, and when we didn't have articles of incorporation showing the shares for our LLC she just sent us on our way. It's my understanding that LLC's have members, not shares. But whatever. We'll take our business elsewhere and hopefully find someone a little more knowledgeable and a lot more courteous. read more

Horrible remote service. Wasted over 2 hours at work getting a simple auto loan they approved me for. Problem Was I have a joint account with them and I was doing this as an individual so I had to have a separate non joint savings account; no problem. Their web page was extremely slow and kicked me out twice, because of that they flagged my application for a savings account even though I have thousands of dollars in deposits with them in our joint account. Now because they can't have anyone work on the slightest of "holidays" that nobody else in the world gets off they can't fix their screw up until Tuesday. It's apparent they really don't need my money and after many years with them will be moving my accounts elsewhere. Somebody needs to fire their entire customer no service staff post haste. In branch people seem to have their act together but their on line and phone team is an absolute joke and apparently are brain damaged. read more

I have been with VyStar for about 2 years. Never had any issues until recently. Suddenly they are holding my electronic deposits. 2 years and they have never done that. I always electronically make my paycheck deposit. I went into the branch and showed the girl my check and I still have a hold. I asked to speak to the branch manager. Nope! No one really tells you why they are holding it. They just say they have the right to play with my money until Monday! You can't talk to anyone but a teller. I have already opened a new bank account. Not a big fan. I opened the account for the convenience of being able to deposit checks at an atm as my normal bank is not local. After depositing the checks I then transfer the money to my regular bank account or just use the debit the card until the funds are spent. Problem is they shut down my card if not used within a 6 month period. Second issue they randomly shut down my account without any sort of notification and then had to sit on hold for 10 minutes while they researched why. The reason was my account was overdrawn while on vacation for less than $3. No courtesy call was made. They have my address and sent no notification. They have my email and sent no notification. They have my phone number and didn't bother to call. So now i'm required to go into the branch to re-open the account. No thank you! i will be banking elsewhere. read more

Vystar let someone walk into the branch to cash and withdraw a hand written check that was not me or written by me and did not even ID them. That check bounced and a claim was started to find out 6 months later that said person had retired and the investigation stopped and that supposedly they have records of trying to contact and mail me. The funny thing is I only received one letter and no phone calls or emails. I received a call three days after I started the investigation and now Vystar said that I have to pay back the amount that bounced when it wasn't my fault. Vystar are horrible people and because of this and them they told me I will have a hard time getting an account with another bank until I pay back the mistake that THEY SO RUDELY MADE!!!! read more

awful! never use zelle thru vystar or tiaa bank. sender tried to send money to me almost a month ago. they took the funds out of his account and never deposited into mine. not vy-star, not zelle, and not tiaa have helped at all to determine where these funds went. all 3 institutions are fraudulent and i will be taking further action. read more
