A quick splash of water from the bucket followed by a 2 second squeegee did absolutely nothing to clean the windows on the upper floors. One of the 3 vehicles was a bro truck which was missing several panels of the vehicle wrap.... very unprofessional looking. The team leader and driver of that truck was yelling at someone on his phone while pacing in the parking lot during the afternoon. Residents from several buildings in the complex heard him screaming. My intention was to help Latino day workers to procure work, because I keep reading how tough it is for them during the pandemic. I was paying a hundred dollars cash for a couple of hours of work, so pay wasn't an issue. They hooked me up with a guy named Omar who confirmed for noon. He didn't speak English, but that's not an issue since I speak Spanish. Right before he was to arrive he texted saying he couldn't make it, because he doesn't have a car. I thought it odd that he would confirm for noon knowing my location and knowing full well that he doesn't own a vehicle, but what do I know? In an attempt to help him I was flexible and asked him if he could make it later after finding a ride. He said yes and confirmed for two in the afternoon. Twenty minutes before two o'clock he texted saying it was too far to come by bus. Couldn't he have told me that hours ago, instead of 20 minutes before arrival? But what do I know? I went above and beyond and texted back to tell him I would come to pick him up. He ghosted me. Two days later Rose from the center called in response to my voice mails explaining what happened. She offered to hook me up with a guy named Benjamin for the next day. Once again going above and beyond I happily agreed. A little while later Benjamin called me saying Rose told him I needed him within 45 minutes. I told him that I told Rose I needed help the next day and he told me he couldn't do the next day. At that point I realized that no matter how far I bent backward this just wasn't going to happen. I called Rose, told her what Benjamin said, then politely told her I was giving up on the APWC and moving on. I opted to go with a well-established professional moving company (New City Moving). We ended up going with a high end Mitsubishi unit because it made the most sense. The salesman assured us the job would likely take 2 full days, possibly 3 if the crew encountered any issues. The install wound up taking FOUR days, at the end of which, the job was still incomplete because the installation crew was sent into the field without the correct equipment. Not exactly a vote of confidence as to how things are managed in-house over there. Further, we paid for the work up front. But once they had our money, we were seemingly de-prioritized and treated like any random service call. A technician was sent out early on a Saturday, but it was clear he had not been briefed on our situation. After assessing the equipment, he said there was nothing he could do because Mitsubishi is closed on weekends. Imagine our frustration at such an unnecessary inconvenience! Had there been even basic communication about the specifics of our case, a pointless visit could've been avoided and we wouldn't have had our time wasted on a Saturday. This speaks to a near-total lack of communication among departments at Four Seasons, and a similar lack of consideration for people's time - ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND. This ordeal has now lasted more than a week. The job is still not finished. There is yet another technician en route to our home and we are not at all confident that the work will be completed. Also, they unhooked the power to a separate thermostat that controls our boiler and no one seems to have the slightest clue how to hook it back up again, though we were invited to purchase another thermostat, as though that would somehow fix the problem. Very disappointing and more than a little aggravating. We are NOT satisfied with our experience. A company of this size and reputation shouldn't be having these kinds of communication issues.
