Ate here recently for the first time. I got the fish and chips. Overall, a little above average. The fish pieces were a little small in my opinion but the side winder fries were a plenty. First time I had those type of fries and I enjoyed them. The coleslaw was pretty good too. Service was pretty good too as I ate an early dinner here so it wasn't overly busy at the time. Highly recommend...went on a Thursday night, service was awesome, and the food (cheese curds, 67 Chicken Sandwich, Fish and Chips) was even better. Wow wow wow. This place was AMAZING!! I had never heard of sideway fries and now they are easily my new favorite way I like a potato. They had a little crunch on one end and then a softer potato wedge bite on the other side- genius! The burger was also cooked perfectly. The staff were super kind- my waitress was nice and chatty and I got to meet the owner who is visibly helpful around the restaurant and humble. The location is perfect for a pub, you've got outside seating on a main downtown road and inside you've got the nice pub atmosphere with a stage for live music and a bar. We came for appetizers and drinks, and were not disappointed. We enjoyed the atmosphere of this pub.

This reviews is strickly for the kitchen service. My wife and I popped in on a Wednesday evening, she ordered a shrimp salad, I ordered a grilled chicken salad. We waited over 48 minutes for our saldas. Only to be told "we're busy tonight." This is Peoria IL not , Dubai, NYC or Michelin star restaurant. This was ridiculous! Don't come here if you're hungry or want to a decent salad! Definitely not worth the price for a subpar salad! read more

Happy to have tried this spot for the first time today! They were able to seat us at a table pretty quickly, also had bar seating open as well. Appreciated the cozy feeling this place had. The waitress was so kind and always checked in on us. Ordered the ravioli and Margherita flatbread. Both very good! Usually feel indifferent about pub food but this was pretty impressive. My usual complaint is that the food can be too greasy but definitely not the case here. We split the ravioli and flatbread between two and it was the right amount if you just want something lighter to eat with your drink. Their fall mule tasted so good! Had a very pleasant apple taste to it and something I'd definitely get again. A solid choice overall if you're visiting the Heights! read more

I got an excellent fish and chips here. Extremely crispy and flavorful fish. The chips had a flavorful spice coating that was nice. The Reuben was also very good and we liked the coleslaw. The ranch dressing overwhelmed the Power bowl a bit but the pickled onions were great. The chili was fine. I would go back. The pub itself was pretty busy and seemed like a nice place to hang out. read more

Ok, 2nd time visiting.. had it a 5 star first time, this time a 4. Love the menu. I ordered coconut shrimp .. my hubby fish and chips .. we had a $70 lunch with a tip. This is not a trival lunch with 2 drinks each. The shrimp was good the mango sauce was unappetizing. No side came with it.. suggest a touch of jalapeño to the sauce. The fish had so much breading that the server asked if he needed a to go box until he told her that was the breading. he could hardly find the fish for the breading. Good service except I thought the server was going to ask to sit with us. I would probably give it a 3 if I had not had a good meal in the past. This is one of the easiest five-star reviews I have ever done. This place is the quintessential rockin Irish menu making sure everyone gets something they can enjoy. There's so much I want to try but had to settle for the shepherd's pie, turned out perfect, so rich with quality ingredients and tasty flavors. The other is also were thankful for their burgers, appetizer, and from what I've heard from others a top-notch Peoria dining experience. Will definitely have to get to this place again to enjoy the well thought out interior, friendly staff, and order up other menu items. Parking could be a problem during the day but I had no issues finding a close spot during the weekend. I'm not sure about the bar yet but based on the food want to assume it does all the right stuff to match. Would like to see fisherman's pie on the menu at some point, there's probably some other common Irish dishes that need slipped into but for all us American folk this is the greatest we can get for the Midwest. read more

First, parking behind the building is much easier than the tiny to find street parking. I went around 5 on a Friday and was seated immediately. The front was a little loud, but it is a bar area. I was seated in the back and the noise from the bar area barely made it back there. The hostess wasn't the friendliest, but don't let that turn you away. The food was excellent, servers were attentive and very friendly. I had the fish and chips and a couple beers. Everything was reasonably priced, even lower than I had expected. I'm thinking of going back before I leave town to try the Corn beef. read more

The cheese curds are delicious. They come on top of tomato sauce which is a great compliment. My husband had the corned beef in a pretzel bun and fries which are an unusual delicious style of fry. I had the special which was fried chicken breast on waffles with a jalapeño maple jam I loved it. We brought half of our food home our waitress was great. We go here often. Very cozy and the food is always good. The roasted gouda tomato soup is especially good. They seem to hire servers who are a little on the quirky side, and I mean that in the best possible way! Service is fast and efficient with a side of personality, which I really like! We enjoyed a fabulous birthday dinner. Arrived during the busy time and was given a twenty minute wait, manager opened a table to accommodate our group of six and a waitress took the overload. She was courteous and attentive despite us not being in her "section." Food was excellent, we tend to seek out pubs when traveling and Sullivan's did not disappoint. Amazing bangers and mash, Shepherds pie, and fish and chips. We were overly hungry when we arrived as we had planned on snacking at the convention center for lunch only to learn concessions are not open after we arrived. I called to place an order and while ordering for my girlfriend he asked what sides. As we have never been there I asked what are your options? He responded back it's a list of over a dozen options and I have people at my bar. He was rude and the tone of his voice was aggressive. If he was busy, he could have simply put me on hold. We've been here twice and the food is so good! The staff are all nice. I highly recommend the shepherds pie and pulled corned beef sandwich. Last night Katie was working the backbar and the dining room in that area. She was awesome! She was taking care of so many things all at once. She regularly checked on us and was so pleasant even under what had to be alot of stress. She also makes a great limoncello spritz. read more

Went here tonight and had an overall awesome experience. They were not very busy at all so we did not have to wait, and we got served really quickly by a super awesome server named Zoie. Awesome bloody maries and sangria. We had the chicken and waffles with mac & cheese, and a Reuben sandwich with mac & cheese. Everything was delicious! Great food and drink! I had the spicy chicken and waffle sandwich that included a perfectly fried chicken breast served on a waffle for a bun. Great flavor! My wife had the fish and chips. The fish was light and flakey with a nice batter crust. Drink selection was huge. Really beautiful remodel of this building- a lot of very unique detail added so it now has a very warm and homey feel. They kept the stage out in the front room so I would look for live music here on the weekends. It was really packed when we stopped in for a quick bite and we soon found out why: the side room was closed for a private party! That was kind of disappointing since they have only been open a month and it's still a hot new place to try out to then close down half the business. There is also another room in the back that is just a party room but apparently wouldn't have worked.... They have some unique beers on draft that are made just for them with the Sullivan's name that were cool to try and we were able to get drink service back in the lounge room which was nice for the wait. The seating area out in the hallway area between the two rooms needs some re-configuring, it is VERY cramped and uncomfortable. The patrons are seated extremely close together (like bumping elbows close) and servers can't make their way through without constant movement and adjustment while seated. I had to stand up a couple of times to let people out to the bathrooms. Not ideal at all. The food was overall really great, a good deal for the cost and some really unique choices to be had. I tried the pulled corned beef after seeing the picture posted here and didn't have QUITE the same experience although the flavor and tenderness was amazing. I also really loved the sauce, it was a tad skimpy as well so I would ask for it on the side too. The chicken and waffle sandwich looked delicious although I didn't get a bite! The flatbreads are the perfect size for a single diner and they have some great options for toppings. Overall, a really welcome addition to the neighborhood in terms of the look, feel and menu. A couple little things to iron out (PLEASE post on your facebook page when the side dining room will be closed!) but I am very much looking forward to returning here many times! read more

Great Irish bar with multiple menu options besides the traditional Irish food. I began with the loaded baked potato soup and decided on the Italian Press, both were very good.
